We had a number of appointments scheduled and felt either OK or uncomfortable with the places we toured. Then we found out about fellowship Square. We didn't have an appointment, but thought we would stop by anyhow to see if there was a possibility that we could take an unscheduled tour. Sandra came in to get to know a little bit more of the situation and what things my mom was looking for and to explain the property and amenities. Ultimately, she spent several hours with us. She took us to the dining facility so that we could experience the facility and the food. We were very pleasantly surprised Both by the dining facility and the food and the staff. Our server was Robert and he was absolutely wonderful. He also overheard that it was my mom's birthday the next day and when we finished our meal, he had all of the servers come out and sing happy birthday to her. During the tour, Sandra passed by several of the residence and knew them by their name Which was a very positive Indicator of how the staff treats the residence. The facility itself is very open and full of flowers and fountains and trees And just a very positive place. The apartments themselves are good sized and all of the amenities are wonderful. My sister and I will be very comfortable with our mom living there and it is a place that my mom also feels comfortable about. The fact that they are a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit or organization and a Christian organization was icing on the cake!!

Harold the tai chi instructor is personable and very well versed in assorted forms of Tai chi and makes every class challenging but fun and exercises our minds and bodies. Connie who oversees these classes is a true professional and is very prompt in responses and quite helpful. Can't wait for my next class!

We often go visit her and eat at one of the dining rooms. Just after Christmas we had a family lunch with about 8 of us. Our server was very friendly. The food is very good. I've enjoyed their burgers, salads and salmon. Sometimes they are a bit short on staff and things take a bit longer but if you know that going in, it's not an issue. I am so happy my mom has found a place she loves to live at and a place we're we fell good about and know she is in great care.

My mother was admitted after having been diagnosed with dementia. I was given a very long packet of…read moreforms to complete on a Saturday and told I needed to bring it in on Monday morning. I arrived only to be told there was a staff meeting and I had to wait. Later I was told the family had to provide some furnishings, toiletries etc. We got those the next day and called to advise that we would need help unloading, only to be told maintenance was off that day but we might find an attendant who could help. Luckily, we found some landscapers who helped. Then I was told mom still needed toiletries. I said they had been delivered. I was told there was a second check and they weren't there. So, I bought more - only to find they had been at the facility. Within about a week, mom was taken back to the hospital for alleged heart issues. However, it was determined at the hospital she was dehydrated. I am advised the staff would ask her about food etc and she'd say she wasn't hungry. Asking a person with dementia if she was hungry was it. There was no apparent effort to do more to get her the sustenance she needed. Mom later passed away, having only spent 4 days of May at the facility. She was charged for the full $6600 for the month. I am not upset with that. However, I was then told the family would have to remove the furnishings from the room as the facility didn't keep such items (even though it had provided a bed left by a former resident). Having just gained over $4000 for services/accomodations it would never have to provide, that was a bit much in my opinion. Note: the facilities looked very nice. However, the two attendants I met in the memory unit, while very nice, appear only to have been employed for several weeks.

They have protocols in place to ensure not only the safety and well being of their residents and staff but also in protecting the personal identifiable information of residents and staff as well. I find everyone approachable and open to resolving issues or needs and very much pro-solution oriented. With one loved one on the verge of needing to move into assisted living, we have this residence on our list should they have a bed open; they don't remain vacant for long and for good reason.
