The fresh bread - the onion loaf is the best in NY; the ciabatta is crazy delicious and addicting. Love their cannolis - filled and I do mean filled to the max with the heavenly and creamy ricotta cheese mix and those chocolate chips. Their cakes are in a league of their own- no one can touch their rainbow cake and cannoli cake. The fruit tarts have the best, fresh fruit and are also divine. The muffins - banana nut, pistachio and cranberry are scream worthy( as in shout out loud awesome). Saving the best for last - the almond horns. The coffee is really good too. The bakery is immaculate. I mean spotless. The ladies working are sweet, sharp and very courteous. I love that they opened a custom cake shop right next door in 2013 specializing in wedding cakes. Cardinali Carle Place is open 7 days a week. If you come by around 7:07 am look for this guy in the parking lot smiling as he loves on his fresh loaf of bread dipping it in his hot coffee.

In a slice this simple, there's really no place to hide and paying that much for something that taste like it was battered out a box is not worth it in my opinion. The Dubai chocolate slice tasted better, but tbh, the Dubai chocolate cake from Costco not only tastes better but has a better price point! I was really excited to try their ice cream - I loved their flavor choices, but that's where my fondness pretty much stopped. The pints were pricey and taste super home made (not in a good way). The ice cream was hard and while it tasted like sweet cream, it was definitely not churned enough to carry a smooth texture. They pints were Van Leeuwen prices but the taste and texture was far from quality ice cream. In this case, I much rather pick up a pint of Hagen Daz, again much better price point and better quantity. The store is pretty but I won't be returning.

I'm not sure if I just caught them on an off day, but the whole experience was a little chaotic. First, as I was standing for the barista to take my order, she tried to give me someone else's drink. It took her a while to make my drink because she had to whisk up the matcha (honestly amazing effort as I was not expecting ceremonial-level prep). As I was walking away drinking my matcha latte, I realized that my drink was made with oat milk and not almond milk as I had requested. (I don't have an allergy but my body sometimes has trouble processing the oat and all the sugar.) The drink was still tasty, the ube syrup was very sweet and different from what you could get at other coffee shops. The matcha flavor was a little lost as a result, but it was still delicious. I hope I could swing by and give the place another try.

Ordered April 5th - Paid for the delivery to be between 2 certain days to ensure my daughter who is away for her first year away at college would get the basket of cookies in time for the Holiday and finals week. The item shipped 7 days ago and will not be delivered on time - actually tracking is showing 4 days past when it should have been there. The site states there are no preservatives and to get them from any delivery mailroom etc asap but how fresh can they actually end up being if they are good for "3-4 days after arrival" yet shipped out 7 days ago and not set to be delivered until 10-11 days after shipping?? What a joke this place is! read more

I ordered the chocolate babka, cinnamon babka, honey cake, and poppy seed roll. The chocolate babka is on par with the best I've had. Flakey, moist, light and airy but with dense chocolatey bits as well. If you've never had a babka that probably sounds like a lot of conflicting and confusing information. The contrast in textures is what makes this one of my favorite chocolate desserts. So good! A classic for good reason! The cinnamon babka surprised me the most! It was reminiscent of a Cinnabon. It had a very nice cinnamon flavor with a streusel topping that added a really wonderful texture and buttery crunch that I wasn't expecting. This might've been my favorite which is saying a lot because I love chocolate babka! If you're not sure which one to get, get both because you might surprise yourself! The poppy seed roll had a VERY generous amount of poppy seeds, which was wonderful. It was a bit bitter but that's probably because it's actually made from real poppy seeds and not the cheap stuff a lot of places use. A poppy seed lovers dream! Lastly, the honey cake was wonderful. It tasted similar to a carrot cake with the wonderful spices except this had a wonderful moist, sticky, almost toffee like honey coating on the top which was absolutely delicious!

Email confirmations exchanged and set-up back in Sept. (My sister did the emailing). Told to either leave a deposit or pay 2 weeks before event in full. Offered to leave deposit, but she stated it was okay to pay in full later, since she's ordered with her before. My sister emailed her again in Oct., Dec., Feb. and March. In March we tried to get an invoice, but kept getting the run around. Not a single email about her being busy or that she can't do the cake. Nothing. Not until my sister sent an email asking about what type of payment she wanted, 3 weeks before (a week earlier than she stated she wanted the $$ in emails). She stated that she "wasn't sure we still wanted the cake" and now she's "too busy". Leaving us 3 weeks to scramble for a cake. And not able to get the actual cake we wanted due to time constraints. Apparently, it takes a long time to set up complex fondant cakes. Not good business practice. Not at all. Never using her again. Saw on her recent FB post that she took in Communion Cake jobs instead. Nice.... Thank goodness we were able to find something in time for my mother's 60th!

When you walk into the store it feels like you've stepped back in time. It always smells like there is something amazing baking in the back. Keep in mind it's cash only but there is an ATM in the store. Staff is fast and friendly (as friendly as New Yorkers can get).
