I got Lily from the Franklin County Animal Shelter in 2009. She's a very docile and affectionate beagle and has become my constant companion. Shortly after getting Lily, it became clear she suffered greatly from separation anxiety. Severe separation anxiety to the point of massive drooling, crying, whining, clawing at the gate or door. I tried crating her and that resulted in a nearly destroyed crate door and a wounded paw. I tried several other "methods" from websites, tv shows, and books. But nothing was making it any easier for Lily to be left alone when I had to go to work or run errands. Then I found Cheryl's. And let me say. Cheryl and her staff have been a LIFE SAVER for me and for Lily. I was so worried that she would cry and howl and be so upset when I left her there, but she didn't. Cheryl said she had a great time and when I picked her up she was very happy and tail wagging. That year Cheryl had to close for a week's vacation in the summer and I took Lily to another day care that week. It was a disaster. She was miserable and I had to practically drag her into the building. And when I picked her up, she cried and wet the floor and was very clingy. Clearly NOT the same quality of care my Lily was used to from Cheryl. Once when I went out of town I needed to board her over night and Cheryl kept her. She didn't do very good alone at night and Cheryl recommended someone who could pet sit for me and that turned out to also be an absolute godsend. Cheryl and her staff will do anything that they can to help make sure that your pet is well taken care of and they really do love all the dogs there. They consistently go above and beyond. I know many circumstances where Cheryl and her staff have come in over night, stayed overnight in the back and made special trips just to make a dog more comfortable and at home. No other place is going to care or do that for you and your pet. This is by far the best dog daycare in town. They have the best rates, the best staff and the best care. There's no one else I trust my pup with. read more

Regarding the review on 1/26/18 by Katelyn. This review is totally not true and I feel compelled to defend myself and my business. My employee she referenced was was busy with the daycare dogs so I decided to return the call as it is my business. I immediately was cursed by this girl numerous times so yes I did cut her off and was not going to tolerate her behavior, I would have been more than happy to discuss this in a civil manner. I absolutely could have handled this better that day, my emotions were high because I had just left my sister who was in the hospital on life support. This is not my character at all. I didn't appreciate being cursed and accused of something that never happened and threatened to come to my daycare and "take care of me" as her and her friend came in later ready for a confrontation.She jumps from daycare to daycare, it takes a while for a dog to be comfortable with it's new surroundings and going from place to place can confuse a dog as they get use to their pack.We love each and every dog and have been in business for over 15 years with wonderful customers. As far as our phones, they were out that day as well as everyone in our complex due to a line down. Not our fault but she accused us of taking phones off the hook. We keep our prices competitive to make it affordable for people to be able to give their pet another option then to be crated all day. It was brought to my attention that she writes many bad reviews. I am very sorry she feels this way and I wish her and her dog all the best and hope that she can find a daycare she is happy with as I am not the first she has complained about. read more

I've said it before & I'll say it again, we love Cheryl's Doggie Day Care. I've recommended her service to multiple friends who've all become regulars with Cheryl now too. They love the service and everyone there! The level of dedication Cheryl & her staff give to the animals in their care is beyond anything you will see anywhere else. There isn't enough space here to go into all the details about how they have stayed late to care for someone's pet, taken ill dogs to the vet at their own cost, fostered and helped place homeless animals, helped with community outreach, and frequently volunteer to help the animal shelters in the area. This is a business that is there for the animals first and less interested in the bells in whistles the other providers use to lure customers in with false impressions that just don't hold up when it comes to caring for your pet. My dog has been going to Cheryl's since 2009 and there isn't any other place I would want her to go. (So much that when I moved across town, I still commute over to Cheryl's to take my dog there instead of switching to a place closer to home.) The service & care she receives there is amazing and the value is out of this world. At Cheryl's you aren't paying for the fancy façade that other places have which may present the image of a wholesome environment but where they really crate your pet in the back & you have to pay for extra play time. Instead, you're getting an excellent owner & crew of staff who love to see your pet, want to play with your pet and who really care about taking great care of your pet. I am the owner of Cheryl's Doggie Daycare and have been in business for 10 + years, the post that was written in February was completely false and I feel the need to defend our reputation. Obviously it was someone that works for the competition. Our daycare has never smelled like urine, we are very conscious of the smells of many dogs in a confined environment as in daycare and go above and beyond to keep our daycare clean. We have an air purifying system and 3 people on the floor at all times to attend to the dogs needs and clean up any accidents.You might walk in the door periodically and a puppy may have just pooped on the floor in the front office and yes there might be an odor from that which is unavoidable but we do our best to have one of the cleanest daycare's around. We change our mop heads daily and the dogs go home smelling fresh. Also, the comment that was made that it looked like our daycare was "thrown together" is very untrue, I welcome anyone at anytime to stop in and check out our daycare. We have our daycare professionally painted yearly. We may not have all the " bells and whistles" that the big franchises do but I prefer to spend the money on good employees taking premium care of your pets then to be all show. It's unfortunate that the competition has to stoop to this level to gain business. read more

We are so thankful for Cheryl and her team. Our pup was a daycare veteran by the time we moved to Hilliard and we had very high standards for our new local doggie daycare. We had tried other corporate daycare centers and while they had flashy websites and shiny new facilities, we always felt like they were lacking where it really counted: in the devotion to giving the dogs what they needed, a great day full of play and healthy interaction with other pups and people. Cheryl's Doggie Daycare was exactly what we were looking for. Cheryl and her team take such good care of our dog, playing fetch with him and making sure he has a great, safe time doing what he loves the most, playing with other dogs all day long. And knowing that Cheryl does not discriminate against certain breeds is a major plus for us. Our dog (a Lab/Border collie mix) loves to play with friendly dogs of all breeds and we're happy that he's able to do that at Cheryl's. I also love that Cheryl donates her time and facilities to dogs from the Capital Area Humane Society so they get the exercise and socialization they need, which in turn will help them find a loving forever home. I think this speaks volumes of Cheryl and it makes me proud to be her customer and support her and her passion for taking great care of dogs (including ours)! read more

Cheryl may be one of the kindest and most compassionate people I have ever met. My previous dog (who has since passed) loved going there so much, he knew where we were going when I exited 270 and he would get so excited, when I picked him up, he would be so happy and exhausted, which is exactly what I wanted. When he became sick with Osteosarcoma and had to have his leg amputated, I think Cheryl and her staff were as upset as I was and treated him with such incredible care and love. I adore that they post pictures and videos to Facebook so I can see my babies throughout the day and their grooming and bathing are always above and beyond. My most recent dog continues to go there and I know she loves it as much as I do, she even stayed there 9 days this summer while I traveled and she had a great time. I have been taking my dogs to Cheryl for about 6 years. He knows every Mon Wed Fri that he is going to daycare. My dog has a limp. His limp has improved from always to rarely with all the exercise he gets at daycare. I consider Cheryl and her staff my dogs second family. They go out of their way to make sure he is happy ans healthy. They have called me when they noticed him not feeling well and when I took him to the vet he was diagnosed with a UTI. She does special 'crafts' with the dogs. I have several valentines, Christmas cards, and just because cards and papers on my fridge all made by my dog. We've taken our dogs to Cheryl's for several years and our dogs always received loving care from her and the staff. Her staff is ready to make your dog play or spend time cuddling on the doggy couch as soon as you drop them off. Our dogs were always very happy to go there and nice and sleepy when we picked them up. It's a happy-happy place! Our dogs Jasper and Cody love Cheryl's doggie Daycare. They have fun at daycare and are tired after a hard days play. Cheryl and all her daycare helpers are so great with the dogs. Cheryl goes out of her way to help your pets to adjust. I took my 6 month old Toy Poodle Chloe here for her first grooming. I had done my research, called multiple places and decided on Cheryl's. I was a little over an hour late picking her up because my hair appointment went longer then I expected but they were so kind and understanding. I recently had hand surgery. I took my dogs(one foster through a rescue) to spend the day at "school". They came home tired from playing.
