Had an appointment to have car fixed. I showed up with a ride home and they told me that they could not take my car. They already had insurance estimate but the guy Ryan that I was working with was no longer there. He just called me last week and made the appointment. They also said that two service techs had quit. Chesapeake Collision is horrible. They will keep you're car/truck for months. They will give you lie after lie. All of them will, from the top to the bottom. If you need your vehicle, DO NOT TAKE IT HERE. DON'T LET YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY SEND YOU HERE. They had my car for OVER 2 months with no body work. The manager will definitely run them out of business. Eric will second it. Something tell them to lie and cuss at customers. They didn't care about the needs of the client at all. They also told the insurance company over a month that the we're finished, had their payment, but had NOT started my car yet. Please please please take you're vehicle to a company that care and will tell you the truth. According the Chesapeake Collision, they would have my car for 6-8 days max. They had my car over 60 days with stories like, people are sick. Someone broke an arm. Trump's tariffs stopped our shipping. We have to many cars to handle. I sure can't tell people at my job, I can't get my job done because the world was in my way. I'm telling you all, don't do it. You will Regret using them. They are not worth the headache and the imaginary story that come along with them. I'm also still waiting for a call from Jim or Shane about the service I received. Poor quality work, subpar communication, and argumentative staff. Insurance claim led me to coming to Chesapeake and I had to return my truck for corrective repair for work not properly completed. I paid over the phone and picked up my vehicle after hours, being told the key and paperwork would be left in my vehicle. I arrived with my spare key to pick up, no key or paperwork in the truck. Crossed paths with a manager who was too busy on the phone to have a full conversation with me. He requested I provide a 9 or 10 rating even if I was dissatisfied and just explain why in the comments, completely negating the fact that someone has the ability to disagree with him. After returning my vehicle for corrective repair, the shop took 3 days to contact my insurance about adding work to the claim. Got no updates on my vehicle's progress with the corrective repair after being promised communication. read more

Poor communication, inferior quality of work. They kept my vehicle for a month to complete 19 hours worth of repairs (from the repair invoice). The Manager had to send the truck back to the body shop for corrections because they did such a poor job which showed up after paint. I had storm damage where tree limbs and flying debris hit my truck. My adjuster specifically instructed me to ask the body shop to go over the whole vehicle to inspect for additional damage. Seriously, the insurance company invited the body shop to look for additional work! It was raining when I picked it up and I trusted that they checked things out. Shame on me for trusting. Not only did they miss additional dents on the vehicle, they broke a turn signal bulb in the repair process. Technician left a full cup of coffee in the truck from the 7-11 down the road. Did he use my truck for a coffee run? Trim parts that weren't installed were laying on the floor board and some idiot decided to "detail" the rubber floor mats with an oily substance. They claim it was armor all, I wiped some up with a paper towel and it was dark brown, like motor oil. Can't prove either way. Thank you for the thoughtful cleaning, but seriously, putting something on the floor mats that make them super slick is just stupid. I return the truck for round 2 of repairs. Supposed to be a quick repair and I had to chase down my vehicle to pick it up. Literally had to call and ask if I could come pick up my truck because I needed to use it! I don't have specific dates, but I think it was additional week and a half. They had paint-less dent repair done on the additional dents, they touched up some paint spots they missed before, they installed the trim pieces they left on the floor board the last time and they cleaned up the floor mats. Thank you. The turn signal bulb was not replaced, not a big deal and something I can do myself, but certainly not something I should HAVE to do myself. It is clear to me that they can't hire or retain talented technicians. Just purely sloppy work and inferior body work in total. To be fair, the paint work looks pretty good. The manager was nice when I could reach her. The front desk was very pleasant and sympathetic. Based on my experience, I would would advise folks to find another shop. read more

Took my car here through Geico all in one. At first was a pleasant experience. Woman who answers phone is a peach! She is the only good thing about that place. Things went downhill rapidly. I was called after a week to come pick up my car. I go in pay my deductible and wait. Car is pulled around I go out and look. Multiple scratches on door not painted, trim not replaced, door handle would stick open when you pulled it and they had broken the replacement glass that was needed to go in passenger window and I was going to have to come back in a week after another one came in. I pointed all these things out and the woman who helped me appeared very embarrassed. But they weren't too embarrassed to keep my deductible instead of refunding it until my car was actually ready. She said she would have a guy name Mario call me immediately. 2 days go by -- no call. So I call them. He's not in so I leave a message. Another day goes by. I have to call again. Now my rental company is calling saying I'm liable for the extra days as I have picked up my car and I haven't! I hold for over 15 minutes and Mario finally comes to phone and says they will fix it. No apologies no so sorry. Another week goes by I get call to come and get my car. Mario is there brings my car around. I go over my car. It's dirty and the inside of door is loose where they didn't put it back together right. I mean you mess up royally once, you do better next time right? no! They take another 45 minutes to fix that. At this point I'm so frustrated I just want to go home. My blood sugar is low and I'm done being nice. I get a phone call a couple of days later from Mario. Saying I'm going to get a survey and to please give them a nice rating in exchange for free car washes. At this point I say sure and hang up. Give scathing review. Get a call from secretary. Says she is passing onto owner. Owner calls. Leaves me a message I call him back. Leave him a message near hear anything back. Sham shod service. Was a minor repair. They could have gotten a really nice review from me. But nope. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT! read more

I had an awesome experience with Chesapeake Collision. They took my auto at the appointment time of 8:00am and I was off to work in a rental that was delivered to the site. I had daily updates as to work being completed and when finished. I was contacted to pick up, at that point I looked at my auto and the job looked perfect. I'm glad I used this repair shop it was a great experience!!! read more

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! Very friendly, informative, professional and incredibly efficient! My car was taken here after a small fender bender and I was promised it's return in a week's time. I needed my vehicle back for a business trip and I actually received in in less than a week! Ms. Tonya Fowler and Mr. Kris Prediger were absolutely delightful and kept me apprised of any and all procedural notifications and updates pertaining to my vehicle. Ms. Tonya was even kind enough to assist me with services for my vehicle outside of the collision center. The price was on the high side, but the repair and paint was very good. However, even though they were quite friendly while visiting their shop, after I left, communication basically didn't exist. They are not the only business that does this, but I really hate that. It's just rude and very unprofessional. This was not my primary car, so I didn't need it back immediately, but weeks would go by where we were waiting for some part and I was never called with any kind of update. I always had to call them to get a status. Did I say how much I hate that? During all this time I needed to retrieve something from the car and I saw the way it was stored. Yes, it was indoors, but in a tiny, leaky, little metal shed around back that some birds had nested in the ceiling above. There was poop all over my car, eating away at the paint and it had obviously been there for a while. After several months, all parts had come in and the repairs and paint were finally completed to the rear of my car and I was told it was ready. I think this was the first call from them! When they brought the car around for me to take home, it was obvious they had washed it since I saw it last, but apparently the birds had done their thing again after that because there were gobs of bright white bird poop all over the driver's side window and door. The driver who brought my car around, had to have seen this when he got in, but didn't bother to clean that area up. He just brought it to me as is. I thought that was pretty stupid. As I'm checking the repairs on the back, they look great, but I see the new paint has been chipped in five or six spots. Then I realize, someone had stolen the brand new chrome logos by prying them off the back of my car with a screwdriver or the like apparently after the job was completed. When I pointed this out, I was told the paint couldn't be just touched up, the entire back door would have to be repainted again. So, now we launch into weeks of waiting with no status calls again. Finally, I call them and tell them to just put new chrome logos back on and I'll take the damn car. Even though the repairs were north of $2k, I had reached a breaking point and was sick of them. Would I use Chesapeake Collision in Huntingtown again? Hell no! read more

This place is awesome! I was rear-ended at a red light, and the back end of my car was badly damaged. Chesapeake Collision did such quality work on my car--I can't even really tell where my old paint starts and the new paint begins. Not only did they do a phenomenal job on the body work, but they also washed my car, cleaned my windows, and vacuumed the interior. It felt like a brand new car! It was so relieving to deal with such a great place after dealing with everything that comes with being in an accident. When my car was ready, Stan (who is so nice!) gave me a folder containing an outline of the work and repairs done on my car, instructions on how to take care of the paint job, a coupon for a free car wash with them, and a coupon for pizza at Papa John's. The Manager was nice, customer service ok in person. I had a 2010 Black Maxima my favorite car that I dropped off after an accident. They had for two to three weeks; when the parts came they needed to replace the front bumper and underneath mostly plastic as these days go, however, I also asked them to paint the hood when prepping the front bumper. When I went to pick it up the bumper and underneath looked except for one area where the plastic bumper meshed up with hood was buckled into two very noticeable places who could the minute you looked at it! That was the first Red Flag! Then I mentioned it to them and they made an attempt to repair it ..some improvement not much to my liking. When my wife picked up she mentioned it again and they did not respond. Additionally, when they went to repair the hood, obviously, I knew that they needed to prep the hood, places need to be sanded and buffed out before they went to final paint. After thoroughly reviewing the hood the next time I went to wash and wax (waiting the specific time as directed). I noticed the places that they made repairs where the paint had ran, slightly but you can see when you look close. All-in-all, not a big fan would not recommend to anyone; look for another place. I've taken my car here twice after being the victim of a hit-and-run and then again after getting rear ended at a stoplight. They do great work and make the experience of fixing your car after an accident as easy as possible. Chesapeake Collision repaired the front end of my 2011 Dodge Ram pickup truck after a collision with a deer. After five weeks and over $6200.00, I received it back. The repair looked very good upon initial inspection. After I took it home, I noticed that the vehicle had a severe tilt to the left, I immediately informed Chesapeake Collision of this, and they instructed me to bring it back. I did later that afternoon and was told that a bad left rear shock was the cause of the tilt. The next day, I had a professional mechanic disconnect both rear shock with no effect. The mechanic also measured the variance between the left and right sides and found an almost two inch difference. I called Chesapeake Collision again and was again instructed to bring the vehicle back. I left it with them for two weeks and was told that the problem was now in the rear springs. I told both Chesapeake Collision and Erie Insurance that I believed that the vehicle frame was bent. They disagreed and stated that there was nothing else that they could do. They instructed me to come pick up my vehicle. I picked up my vehicle and filed a complaint with the Maryland Insurance Commission. Several days later, Erie Insurance instructed me to take my vehicle to an another independent repair facility that has an electronic frame machine. I did as instructed and they found that the vehicle did indeed have a severely bent frame. Erie Insurance immediately totaled my vehicle. I feel that Chesapeake Collision knew that the frame was severely damaged and that the vehicle should have been totaled from the onset. Instead, I was lied to and forced to take back a vehicle that was unsafe to drive. Fortunately, the Maryland Insurance Commission was able to remedy the situation. Needless to say, I would not recommend any major repairs to this facility that might possibly entail frame damage. read more

Very polite, friendly and accommodating staff. They stayed late on a Friday late to help me pick up my Prius! Their work was very well done, good quality and my car only took 5 days to get fixed. I'm literally trying to find reasons to take my car there but I drive Prius and there's really no amount of body work that can make that car cool. Absolutely horrible customer service. Unfortunate that Yelp requires a minimum one-star rating. Our minor son had a accident and his car was towed to Chesapeake Collision without our consent. After dealing with his minor injuries and contacting insurance, we located his car at Chesapeake Collision where they had already began breaking down the vehicle without any approval signatures. Once we learned they do not guarantee the use of genuine parts, something our insurance requires on a newer car, and the warranty requires as well, we told them to stop any unauthorized work. We located another shop that would use genuine parts and requested the car be transported to that location; however Chesapeake Collision would not release the car unless we paid them over $400 for the "work" we never authorized. So basically they held our car for ransom. We eventually paid the $400+ to get our car released. When we did so the lady at the front desk laughed in our faces and mocked us at the fact that we ultimately paid them to do absolutely nothing. Totally disgusting display of dishonesty, and a truly unprofessional and ghetto establishment. read more

After someone hit my (new) car in a parking lot I was a little disappointed that I would have to go through my insurance to get it fixed but Tonya Fowler and Nichole Smith made the whole process as easy as possible. From the drop off to the updates and pick up they took care of everything with no burden on me. My rental car was ready when I dropped my RAV4 off and within a week it was ready for pick up - they even took the time to detail the inside. My car hasn't looked so good since the day I bought it. Everyone that worked there was sweet and polite and made sure I was comfortable with all the adjustments. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

The absolute worst customer service. I urge you please DO NOT trust this unprofessional, unorganized company with your vehicle!!!! I only went to Chesapeake collision, because they are affiliated with gieco. My car was in the shop for 3 weeks. Which I actually didn't mind as long as they fixed everything correctly. But their lack of communication ,and organization led me to think otherwise. I picked my car up from Chesapeake collision 3/12/19. Later that evening I noticed a piece of my bumper ( they were supposed to fix) coming off. I immediately called them to inform them of the problem. They acted as if it was nothing, and said bring it back. Such an inconvenience! I took my car back 3/13/19. It took them approximately 5 minutes to fix the issue. Which led me to believe that they did not fix it properly. I was right. A week later the same piece came completely off. I called them to inform them of the same issue. And I brought it back to the shop. This time they tried to blame it on me! Insinuating I hit something. I NEVER HIT ANYTHING! At this point I'm furious! I contacted Geico. They came and inspected my car. The Geico adjuster found no evidence of me hitting anything. But he stated it looked like the party was never put on correctly to start. It's been over a month and I'm still waiting on this unprofessional company to fix my car correctly. They should refund my 500$ deductible to me. For not doing their job properly, being so unprofessional, so unorganized , and inconveniencing my life!!!!!! They don't even deserve a one star review!! read more

Walked into the office and everyone looked at me as if I had two heads (customer service much here?), some lady finally said hello and how can I help. I let them know I was there to get a quote. They went around the office to decide who had time to do it and one lady said she could. This one proceeded to inform me unnecessarily as to why she couldn't do it right away; someone out to lunch, her being in the middle of something and etc. She took pictures of the dent and and stated that I would get the quote by email; as you can guess it never came and I am now taking my business to real professionals at Passport Nissan Collision Center. I would not recommend!!! My son had his vehicle repaired there. The work was good but while there they damaged another area by backing into something and when we went to pick up car it was backed into a parking spot and we only payed attention to the area repaired and did not notice the damage they did.. When it was brought to their attention they said they did not do it and they were not gonna repair it... We have photo's that prove that it was done after the roll back tow truck dropped the car off with them!!! I will never take my vehicle to them and will make sure I spread the word to everyone I know about this and suggest they do not use them!!!! To cause damage to someone's vehicle and not fix it is low down and not worth me, my family and everyone I can spread the word to going to them!!!
