I had a most inadequate experience yesterday. First, let me say that the assistant who checked me in was very pleasant and seemed more knowledgeable than the clinician I saw, who passed herself off as a doctor. I am giving 2 stars only because of the first assistant i saw. I have had a blocked ear for 3 weeks after a viral infection, and I am certain prednisone would have worked, as it has perfectly in the past. She took a brief look at my ear and said she wanted "a hearing test". I had one last year with the same results. She then refused to prescribe prednisone (I had stated over the phone that that was why i was coming), and referred several times to my age (76). She stated that "hearing loss is common amongst older patients'' and brushed me off, as if I had come in for a hearing test. I should add that i am a teacher and can hear my students perfectly. I am still in shock from the experience. When I expressed how disappointed I was, she came to the front desk and said, "I can put a tube in your ear if you want". read more

The office visits are not bad at Chesapeake ear nose and throat The wait time is fair and the doctors are good but need improvement in communicating with the patient especially their needs. At least my doctor does. The biggest problem is trying to get a prescription refilled The doctor obviously knows your problem and it's urgent when you need your medicine but it can take a week or more to get it. (not good ) I feel for this reason that three stars is more than generous. read more

i was hesitant to visit when i saw negative reviews but i decided to give them a shot. Glad I did. I had nothing but a positive experience. from the time i walked in the two ladies at front desk were pleasant, funny and knowledgeable. I saw Dr. Schneyer, who was thorough, friendly, and the first doctor that finally got to the root of my issue (lack of taste and smell). No wait and great service through and through. I've been to doctor offices where the front desk is rude - this was not one of them and the medical service was top notch. read more

If I could give this practice a zero I would. They allowed me to schedule an appointment with for my son saying they took my insurance CALLED ME TWENTY minutes prior to the appointment to tell me they canceled because they didn't take my insurance. CLEARLY they have ZERO training when it comes to what insurance they accept and what ones they don't. read more

I have been trying to make an appt for 3 days. They do not answer their phone. A voice machine puts you on hold and they still do not answer the phone. I do not know how they stay in business. I cannot understand why they run a business this way. I had to give it a star because it wont let me give it a 0 star. The only reason I am giving a 2 is because the staff in Rosedale was exceptionally friendly. However, the Dr is charging me for services she did not provide. And when you tell the billing dept none of this ever happened, they still continue to bill you for the services not performed saying the Drs notes are not wrong. We all know people make mistakes, even Drs with the amount of people they see daily. But I guess Dr. Tam N. Nguyen is exempt from making mistakes. I asked my primary Dr and another ENT about the procedure and they both said, no you did not have this done. I think I would have remembered having a tube shoved up my nose. It's a shame since my primary referred me and alot of their patients to this group. I guess they are all too wealthy over there and don't need the business anymore. read more

I was re​ferred by my primary care and went there for an ear wax situation and to ask about snoring and sleep study. The doctor was fine, but the office staff is very poor. I had difficulty setting up the sleep study as they did not do the necessary paperwork until I came in person. They do not return calls. I went for follow up and the doctor ordered a CPAP referral. They told me it could take up to two weeks for the company to reach out. It is now a month since the follow up. No one is returning calls, and when I did get through they could not locate my chart. They said they would call me back when they figured it out. Five days have gone by and no one is returning calls. read more

I first took my daughter to Chesapeake ENT after she failed her hearing test at the pediatrician. Dr London cleaned her ears and then a hearing test was scheduled. After failing the hearing test they retested to be sure she understood. Once she failed again we met with the audiologist and it was determined she needed a BAHA . Surgery was scheduled. Surgery was cancelled due to supply issue at the surgical center, however I was NOT notified of the cancellation until I called them myself. After not being able to reach the surgical coordinator, I called the surgical center and was told it had been cancelled. I rescheduled. Then was called by Dr London himself to cancel because he was going out of town. I was not happy, But tried to be understanding. I attempted to take her elsewhere but Children's National didn't have any appointments available for a while. And other places didn't work out either. After surgery, we followed up with a PA bc Dr London was not available. We scheduled her hearing aide placement for 2 months out with Dr London and just yesterday they cancelled her appointment with no option of a reschedule until September. It has been over a year since our first appointment and my daughter still can't hear! This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I'm stuck in a situation where another ENT may likely not take us as the surgery was performed by someone else. This is absolutely unfair to my 8year old who has been looking forward to finally hearing. She has been in speech therapy for 5 years and we're anxiously awaiting the hearing aide for more improvement in that area. This shows a complete lack of care for the patients as human beings. To reschedule in September also means I will have to take off work. I am an online contract educator...taking a day off requires me to change my schedule which then affects all my students as well and sometimes isn't even possible to do, because of bumping against holidays and end dates. Times off should be scheduled in advance and blacked out so appointments are not made, I understand emergencies, but being cancelled on now for the third time is ridiculous! Update: the doctor has allowed for us to see the audiologist without seeing him first, so hearing aide appointment is still on. But still ridiculous the amount of times he cancels! read more

This is a review of the people who handle scheduling. This is not a review of the doctor(s) and or their work. I have left messages for two days in a row when answering machine that says " rest assured we will call you back by the end of business" That's funny last I checked end of business is usually 5 o'clock that same day. And since I've been leaving messages for 48 hours y'all have broken your promise. And because of that y'all can't break my nose and then fix it then do whatever the hell else you were going to do. Seriously though all the cogs in your wheel are not working and because of that I can't trust your facility to operate on my face. read more

Everyone was nice but this office is absolutely absurd about mask theatre. The doctor, who was wearing some weird contraption over his face, made me wear my mask over my mouth while he shoved a scope down my nose, then instructed me to stick my tongue out, forcing me to lick the mask. Won't be going back. read more

This location is amazing. Not sure about those who are giving this place a one star review, but in my experience, the waiting room is very precautious with COVID-19 safety and are accommodating to each patient, even when there is a lot of people waiting to be seen. As for the checkup itself, the doctors here are incredible. I went to Patient First and they misdiagnosed my ear infection for 2 weeks before I came here, causing an even bigger problem for my ear. Dr. Lu-Myers, who I had my appointment with, immediately recognized the problem correctly and had me out of there in 5 minutes. Highly recommend this place if you have any problems with your ears, nose and/or throat! read more

I've never in my life been treated this poorly by a doctors office. They cancel last minute every time and show no compassion when you tell them that you need to be seen. The one time I was seen in Westminster the situation in the office was hectic, I felt rushed and did not receive the attention that a patient should. Very sad. read more

If you are wondering why you can always get an appointment here, I would imagine it is because NOBODY would ever come back a second time. We brought our daughter here as part of treatment for a long term illness and Dr. Weiss (sp?) never even looked at one word of her history or records. He walked in KNOWING she just needed to try nasal spray, didn't care that she's already tried it (and made her problems worse), and would hear NOTHING we said. Continuously talked over us. Told us that our daughter's problem was psychological. (One glimpse at the MRI images would prove otherwise.) If you need someone to tell you to take Flonase without putting ONE STITCH of effort into understanding your problem, go see these clowns. My daughter and I both left crying. read more

Dr. Tam Nguyen went above and beyond to care for my husband during his recent prolonged medical emergency/issue. She was accommodating, extremely knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and took great consideration to address all aspects of his needs given his underlying and somewhat complex medical issues. She is the kind of physician we want ALL our physicians to be like, looking at us a whole person and not compartmentalizing our issues to her area of expertise. This included her willing to consult and work with my husband's Cardiologist and discuss his care with other providers caring for him. She came to the hospital over the weekend she was not even scheduled to work and she called personally to check on him. In addition to her wonderful bedside manner, her medical care was superb !! Her office staff was wonderful as well. The phone staff and front office staff were friendly and helpful. The medical staff were just as helpful and caring. We received special care and help from Judy who was very encouraging through his struggle. I can not say enough how blessed we were to have Dr. Tam Nguyen and her staff care for my husband. I recently went to Chesapeake ENT on a referral from my primary care physician. He had detected a small growth on my thyroid, so he ordered an ultrasound scan and referred my to Chesapeake for evaluation. There I met Dr. Nguyen, who was just wonderful. She explained just how common such nodules are on men my age, and how they are almost always benign. She took the time to teach me a bit about the thyroid and its function. She also explained that because the nodule had indistinct borders, she wanted to do a follow-up next year. While she could have just moved on at that point, as do many of the hit-and-run specialists, she took the time to check my ears, nose, and throat. We talked for a little while about hearing care. As a type-2 diabetic, I have periodic evaluations from several specialists. Most are quite good, but Chesapeake ENT, and specifically Dr. Nguyen, are outstanding. read more
