I walked in yesterday thinking I had an appointment, little did I know they had given it to someone else. Secondly, they didn't accept the print copy of my very straightforward lab order and had me call my doctor to fax it over. I hate how the labs nowadays are designed to not have staff members there for assistance, as I spent a lot of time there waiting for an actual person to come answer my questions. I arrived the next day with a scheduled appointment, having scheduled it for the next morning to give the fax order time to be received, just for them to tell them that their fax machine had been broken for weeks!? Completely unprofessional and ridiculous waste of my time, and my bloodwork is now delayed.

The two ladies at the front desk Daria and Jotia were very responsive and friendly. We even added 1 labcorp on-demand test on the spot to have done during our appt with dr ordered tests. We were both finished in about 15 min and that includes check-in! Note: it's difficult finding my veins. I often get stuck multiple times trying to find a vein which results in bruising. The only place where there is 100% success rate on the first stick is at my dr office in Clarksville. I will definitely be returning here if I need bloodwork outside of my dr office because Daria was able able to draw blood on the first stick! And no bruising! The phlebotomist who took my blood was a dark-skinned young woman [with an accent, perhaps an islander?] who has to be the best of the best, certainly in my experience. I have donated blood many times over my long life, and have never had a needle stuck in my arm, where it didn't even feel like a pin prick. She was great...perfection! BRILLIANT! I was just a walk-in, with no appointment, and was seen very quickly, shortly after entering my driver's license and insurance information. Cannot recommend highly enough the Mount Airy Labcorp.

The parking lot is a nice size to accommodate the customers of LabCorp as well as the other medical offices onsite. The office is on the 2nd Floor, small waiting area w only 6 seats. Clean, free of clutter and comfy temperature. ** whispering ** A water cooler would have been nice. Especially since a large portion of labs ordered require fasting. The warm and kind LabCorp employee (Teresa) was very helpful and welcoming. I had issues checking in due to it being 2019 & I haven't been to a Lab anything since 2004 !! My physician's office has a phlebotomist (thank God). Anyhoo, she was very patient and walked me through the process. My boys were quickly serviced and we were on our way. I would use another lab entirely- not just another location.

Even with an appointment I often wait past my appt time because the techs are very slow or having social hour instead of taking care of the patients. They opened at 7AM my bad for being late but it would…read morenot have mattered because if you are in the know it seems they open the doors early, some people had signed in at 6:50 AM. I needed to be to work at 8:45 AM I thought no problem. Well big problem! I waited an hour and 20 minutes before being called back. They were severely understaffed at least from 7-8 AM then two more people came in to work. I only had about 6 or 7 people ahead of me and yet they were calling people back very slowly. The saving grace of the entire debacle was the phlebotomist who drew my blood was very good, I wish I had gotten her name. They don't take appointments here, save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that does take appointments!!
