I had kept the original sample and when I got the actual floor I laid out a few pieces to check the color....seemed okay. After the floor was installed I noticed raised bumps on the entire floor and it looked dirty. The owner came out and tested the floor and said it was probably grout haze and suggested a cleaner. The cleaner didn't change the bumps or haze. Over the next 3 months we have been back and forth with the owner a few times, a rep even came by and said she couldn't see a problem despite the difference from the original sample to what I received that I showed her. She claimed she saw not problem. I contacted the owner via text and explained the experience and was never answered. I had suggested that the tile was possibly defective in my note. I was aware there might be a health problem in his family so I let a month go by and still never heard back. I called again this week and said I just wanted to find a solution even if it was other tile cleaners to try. He would never address/admit or take responsibility for the tile looking defective. Despite knowing I have an example of original sample and what was delivered. I think it is not good business to not stand by your product. I have since had another local company look at the sample and installed floor and they agree the tile is defective but Atlas has just dismissed the whole thing. Now I have a floor that is not what I purchased and was told it was not their problem. The other issue with the company is you do not stick with the same sales person through the selling process. This results in one person not taking responsibility for your purchase. I experienced just a bunch of people pointing fingers at each other and not taking responsibility for the sale to their customer. I would never recommend this company.

Several years have passed since I decided to renovate my master bathroom. What began as baby…read moresteps, and eventually grew to a moderate climb, came to a screeching halt when the pandemic began. Maybe I shouldn't have spent the two years prior "thinking" about a new bathroom because now four years later, I'm finding supply chain issues and stock problems. I visited all the major home improvement stores to look at tile, countertops, vanities, bathtubs, toilets, etc., only to be told almost everything is out of stock or has outrageously long wait times. My contractor (who needs his own five star review) told me about HV Tile & Stone. It was easy to make an appointment and when I arrived with my ideas and specs in hand, Don Wernecke was eager for my business. Within 30 minutes, I had a good plan in place for my bathroom and had shower/tub/floor tile and grout all picked out and drawn up to order. The showroom is very organized and I appreciated so many choices in tile. Don put all the samples on a work bench table for me to see it all together and this allowed me to envision luxurious baths in what could become my favorite room in the house. This place has everything you need for tiling. Great sample tiles and excellent customer service. And, just because it's Smalltimore, we figured out we have several close friends in common!

Just Floors moved our stove and refrigerator, then removed the floating floor and a layer of tile. They workers were very courteous. Theyleft extra tiles and glue in case we ever needed to replace one. The hardwood flooring was a spur-of-the-moment decision when trying to decide on where to transition the open kitchen itno the dining room. The previous owners had carpeted over the hardwood floor, and we had been considering lifting the whole carpet and going back to floor -- but had no idea what shape it was in. The salesman shot us a price on removing the area of carpet and sanding the floor, then leaving a "natural" finish. The price was right, so we agreed. As one can imagine, doing this without actulaly knowing what was under the carpet is ill-advised. I lifted the carpet that night to see what was under it, and found hundreds of carpet staples, both dark and light very worn patches of wood, gaps where the wood had shrunken. A quick call to Just-Floors had me talking wth the owner and his assuring me they would handle the staples and shoot me a price on anything that might need repair. The area near the patio doors really concerned me, and words like "money pit" came to my mind. These workers too were curteous. They removed staples in no time and had plastic up between the kitchen and the living room, effectively keeping the majority of dust contained. They pried boards together, when possible, and put down a liquid fast-drying wood filler for the rest. The varnish (?) was colored "natural" and helped lighten the dark spots. An extra nice touch was that they brought an extra piece of wood transition and laid it in front of the patio door. The finished product was simply amazing -- and didn't cost me a penny extra.

They arrived on time each day and worked diligently until the job was complete, in just a matter of a few weeks. Our job was a complete tear-down, and the men were very careful about containing the mess and dust within the construction area, which we appreciated very much. They cleaned up at the end of each day, making the process of living through a full kitchen renovation so much more bearable. We are extremely pleased with both the quality of the products QBI provided as well as the skill of their staff.

Whether the owner suffers from a lack of communication skills or he is just spreading his contracts too thin, he really needs to learn how to return calls and communicate with his customers. His knowledge of the entire remodeling process is excellent. Make sure you discuss the aforementioned issues with him before you sign any contracts. And double check your order invoices to be sure what you have chosen is what is installed. This was a MAJOR fiasco.

Of course it would not be me if I didnt make another selection of color choice in cabinet color. I was then paired with Laura whom was beyond helpful. With a few of my many questions she asked Mike about somethings. Mike stated to me, you came in here the last time as he remembered me and said she saw and confirmed the cabinet she wanted right away. Mike knew that part and was confirming to me to not get too confused and stick with what stood out for me. I still liked the Pebble Cabinets but like the darker of the Greige as well. With Laura assisting we then was able to narrow down 3 countertops and get quotes. I appreciate their assistance, patiences and kindness during my project stressing of selecting the cabinets and other portions thats necessary for the 2nd phase of my kitchen remodel project. Had high hopes for Top Notch Flooring America after friends had several very positive experiences…read morewith them. Unfortunately, our experience was the worst we have had with a contractor over 52 years of being a home owners and four houses. Our young salesman is apparently the owner's son. When we made our initial selection of LVP flooring, he said that the material would be received by them in a week and a half and installation would be schedule in about a week and a half after that. At about the time the product was to be received by them, we received a call from another employee stating that the product would not be produced by the manufacturer for another month and a half. ( The salesman should have checked availability before providing an approximate installation date.) Back to the White Marsh store we went to select a different flooring. The second selection arrived and installation was scheduled. On the day of installation (it was to be a two day installation which the salesman failed to say), Lou and Dan arrived. The installation involved the removal of cut stone tile and mortar. The installers failed to put up any dust barriers as contractors had done to protect the rest of the residence from dust and debris. The installers put dirty had prints on the walls and adjacent flooring. To add insult to injury, they "glued" down a stair nose piece and a transition flooring strip using latex caulk rather than a true adhesive which was totally ineffective. Top Notch partially reimbursed us for the Merry Maid cleaning crew we brought in and one of their employees did come and properly glue down the stair nose piece and the transition flooring piece. Viewing all of the other very positive reviews of Top Notch, we were very surprised by our experience. The salesman, Joey Jr., was not as responsive as he should have been. The vetting of their installers needs massive improvement (BTW, our installers were not employees, but subcontractors). If you deal with Top Notch, use the Bel Air store where our friends had a much better experience. We will NEVER use Top Notch again!
