ANYWAY, my first visit -- and my only visit -- I will NEVER EVER have another visit -- anyway, my visit with Dr. Blair Alexander was bizarre. Dr. Alexander was bizarre. More than bizarre. First of all, he has a lot of hair - on his head, a big moustache and a beard. I've never seen ANY doctor with a lot of head and facial hair because facial hair especially attacks a lot of germs and bacteria. Secondly, he wore a VERY colorful blouse that no woman would be caught wearing. Thirdly, when The Office opened up, within a few minutes there were 5-6 patients in The Office within 5-15 minutes. If there is only one doctor in The Office -- and there is only one doctor -- why were all those people there, sitting in chairs, waiting to be seen. //// I had to fill out paperwork first, of course. Then I had to watch a 10-minute video (I found that amusing since I've been seeing characters, around The US, since before he started Chiro school.) Then I was ushered into a very small room, with no windows, that must have been originally a storage closet. I could hear Dr. A laughing and talking with another patient in an exam room across the hall. There was also some hype music blaring from somewhere. When he FINALLY came to my closet room -- remember there are STILL other patients waiting in the waiting room -- I wanted to tell him VERY briefly what was wrong with me and what I needed (because, after all, this had been going on for many years -- off and on and not a particularly big deal either), he almost immediately interrupted me and told me what was what and what he would do and what he wouldn't do and how wonderful he was and how wonderful his father was. I finally interrupted him and said, "If you're talking, you're not listening to your patients, are you." I walked out of The Office (after offering to pay my copay for my ridiculous visit). In the 48 years I've been seeing Chiropractors, only one other has deemed x-rays necessary -- and you know, I've had great treatments without x-rays. Oh, that's another thing -- in his long tirade on how great he is, he denigrated all other Chiropractors who don't do x-rays. What a bizarre, rude man -- who doesn't care about his patients waiting in his waiting room. Oh -- and then there was the long conversation -- whispering -- with one of his front desk receptionists -- in front of all his patients who were waiting in uncomfortable chairs. If you want to go through all this 'stuff', be my guest. At least I know that I never will again. What a crock.
