After a game at The Rock, a parent recommended this little ice cream shop, so we had to give it a shot. Located in a small strip mall, sits this busy ice cream parlor. Service was quick and friendly. Plenty of parking in a large parking lot for the businesses in the strip. I went with the creamy coconut ice cream and the vanilla cherry. The creamy coconut is where it's at. Ice cream was very creamy and high quality. The cherry vanilla was ok but the coconut stole the show, so the cherry vanilla was up against a strong opponent. My first time here, and as a person who worked 12 years in the ice cream buissness as a kid I was impressed. The staff was very young but mature, respectful and the cleanliness was on spot. Its hard to find employees today like that in a younger generation so props on their training. Customers were helped promptly and they were patient with people making decisions. The creamery is a family favorite for me. The ice cream is delicious and they are super family oriented. The creamery makes excellent ice cream cakes and has never let my family or me down. However, don't ask them for extra peanut butter sauces as it creates an unnecessary conflict. I have been at other ice cream shops that have allowed me to buy peanut butter sauce as a side and as much as I wanted. When I asked the owner, he was offended I asked and told me I am asking to deplete his supplies to which he won't do. It was a simple - no. Instead it turned into this whole conversation about how I should just buy it online and that I wouldn't be able to get it at a shop. When I told him I have - he laughed and said I probably don't. Dropped by one night from a weekend staying at Legoland resort. Inside of the ice cream shop is not anything exciting. There is a little sitting area with tables for you to enjoy your sweet treat. There is a Wide variety of different flavors to choose from. It was difficult to choose. Decided on the banana cookies and cream flavor and glad I did. It was Delicious! Chester Ice Cream is Great! Take it from a kid who grew up in Yonkers. We had Carvel Cakes... that's it. They were great. Fast forward to 2022- Carvel Cakes are not what they used to be growing up in the 70's. I purchased an Ice Cream Cake from Chester last week for Mother's Day. As soon as the lady handed it to me I knew it was going to be good. IT WAS HEAVY!!! Not full of air. Delicious. Plenty of chocolate crunchies! Highly recommended. Best homemade ice cream ever! Randomly stumble upon it when we were coming back from Legoland. It is soooo good. MUST TRY the blueberry pie and peach melba. Both are seasonal. The strawberry and vanilla taste really good too. They are not too sweet and doesn't leave that sweet aftertaste. Prices are very reasonable. Service was great. Looks like they make ice cream cake and ice cream sandwiches as well. Wish we live closer so we can bring some home!! read more

This great ice cream establishment is located in the Quickway Plaza Strip mall on Rt 17m, just off exit 126 on NYS Rt 17. Their ice cream is simply delicious. They offer many flavors of hard ice cream, not the standard fare made by national companies,but rather a more creamier content made by a custom distributor of high end ice cream from out of state they also offer soft serve ice cream that is excellent as well, again a higher end mix. Chester ice cream is family owned , offers specials I hadn't seen elsewhere and is worth a trip! Everyone there is ultra friendly. As they are located in the strip mall and Not a free standing building , many people seem to by unaware of it. Never a line yet terrific dessert . Prices are very good to boot. First off! Genius to have a ice cream place open throughout all the seasons. Second - my husband went in here and grabbed a couple pints for myself and the kids. He got the blue cookie monster - it was so creamy and so full of flavor and did not disappoint on the amount of cookies it had in it..every bite had chunks of cookies my kids went wild. The mint also creamy and so much flavor...the inside is pristine and very clean. We also shared a milkshake on the drive home that was just as delicious. What a hidden gem! Its just as good as bellvale creamery but open during the winter which is great for these pregnant cravings lol. Im gonna be enjoying these for the next few days and then definetly go back and try new flavors! Very good, happy we decided to stop and try it.
