Not sure how this place gets so many good reviews, it makes it seem like I wasn't even at the same restaurant (yes, I know I was). I went for breakfast on a Saturday and got to sit quickly, that was nice. We ordered eggs over easy. When I cut into the eggs the yolks came running out as expected, but so did the whites! They were barely even cooked! Some of it was still congealed as though heat hadn't even touched it. When we showed it to an employee her response was "oh, you like medium?" NO. I like over easy when it is actually cooked properly. To their credit when we said we didn't want new eggs they took the price off. Frankly we just wanted to get out of there. It didn't help that before the egg fiasco I ordered the corned beef hash and I saw them lug out the giant can that they had to chip the stuff out of on to the skillet. I get that I probably get hash from places that just buy the cans, but seeing it is not exactly appetizing. The bacon was also not at all crispy, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that some diners just don't cook crispy bacon and cater to the soft bacon crowd (monsters, the lot of them). In short, I'd have given a "meh" review and assumed the eggs just got screwed up except for the employee's response that made it seem that "over easy" means "barely cooked at all". read more

I was quite intrigued when a friend recommended this restaurant, informing me about their breakfast/lunch AND Vietnamese menu. I've never been to or heard of a Vietnamese family owned restaurant that cooks America breakfast. We stopped by around noon time on a Saturday before going to work (which was down the street.) There was one server in the whole place, but she was pleasant and attentive while serving everyone else by herself. I was disappointed they weren't serving a few Vietnamese dishes I was planning to order, so I settled for some fried chicken wings (with fries) and a side of hash browns. My friend ordered his usual sausage and egg sandwich which was great. We also ordered a bacon burger to go for a friend and it was "one of the best burgers" he ever had. For the price, quality of the food and service, I would definitely come back when I'm in the area. Only downside: street parking isn't fun in Chestnut Hill so you're lucky if there's a spot in front or on the same street! Otherwise, stop by for a quick bite and you won't be disappointed! For the ladies: the family owns a nail salon that is attached to the restaurant so... kill two birds with one stone. read more

A breakfast place with bubble tea and egg rolls? Yes please. Any place where I can get pancakes and mango bubble tea is the place for me. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is incredibly delicious and fast, the menu is pretty big, and the prices are great. We came at around 2PM on a weekday and it was completely empty. We sat inside and ate, but from what I observed most people get things here to go. Some call it, but most sit and wait. The food is usually done for pick up in under 10 minutes. read more

If I could give this a zero I would. This was AWEFUL. everything was prepared food. The corned beef hash was out of a can. And we were sitting by all the dirty dishes. When we got our over cooked eggs the server simply told us we were incorrect then served us raw eggs instead. Horrible service and we left with a stomach ache. The burger was also horrible. It has an old look to it but once you get your plate, nothing matters anymore. It's cheaper and better from a diner and I'm from Jersey. Other than the bathroom, which is located in a dark basement with antiques, it was amazing. good breakfast /lunch diner they are open from 6am-3pm. run by a nice extended asian family who are very friendly. This is not a gourmet diner, if you are looking for a crab benny or decent hollandaise sauce this is not the joint. They serve basic breakfast and lunch. The diner is clean and the food is always fresh and quick. Smaller place with about 6-8 tables and a long diner style bar, no booths. Def recommend this for a hearty breakfast or a quick luch to go. read more

Quick, cheap, decent food. You know what you are getting into as soon as you walk in. Don't expect gourmet or healthy. Fries are from frozen bag, but still cooked to perfection with a nice crispy outside. Hoagies are ok, but they use a roll similar to Amoroso's, which means they got it 90% right regardless of what goes on the sandwich. They don't take CC, so bring cash. read more

I had the french toast with pancake, sausage, scrambled eggs and potato. I thought everything was great, especially the potatoes- super bomb. I came because the food had good reviews. I ordered a BLT with bacon well-done and received a BLT with tomatoes that were white and inedible,so I asked if they could slice a ripe tomato on the side?They took away my entire meal. They remade the BLT and it arrived bathed in grease and the bacon was fatty and not cooked through, so I asked could they cook it as ordered? I Even apologized.... not sure why but she seemed pretty angry. At this point she removed the plate from in front of me and declared she could no longer serve me. Just to note there are only three other tables in the restaurant and three people behind the counter and she then screams at the server condescendingly- that someone had ordered a bottle of water and while yelling spelled out B-O-T-T-L-E, The server bowed her head and ran into the back.... I thought I had seen it all... Maybe it's the heat?
