I shopped the lowered level, looking to purchase the cut watermelon, in which Ive found to be great from Whole Foods. However, today they only had 2 very tiny cutlets of watermelon (not even a quarter of a whole watermelon) for $3 each. I did find that they had whole watermelons for $6.99 on sale and I grabbed one. With this being Memorial Day weekend, but a nasty rainy day, it was very quiet and calming shopping and checking out experience. Parking is free if you make a purchase, as a validation slip to use at exit to the garage will be provided. They regularly sell expired or near-expired items (as in 1 day). I showed the stock personnel about a popular pasta-based meal kit that was more than a week past expiration and they left it on the shelf, I spotted a day later. 2. Make sure the advertisement sign matches what you are buying - they do shady things like moving the items over from the sale tag so you are confused. 3. Check your receipt. These guys are tricksters and sheisters and will swap out items at every chance. At times I have found more than 50% inaccuracies on my receipt. Of course, I have to wait forever in a line to contest with customer service. 4. Worst beef E-V-E-R. Been cooking beef for30+ years - these animals are not well. Inedible & rock tough no matter how you cook, and zero flavor. Subpar distributors/farmers. Go to GIANT. 5. Beware of shopping here. I am not sure how they have not been shut down by OSHA/FDA.

However, I was able to find parking quickly and enter to a smiling and uplifting welcome into the store; plants outfitted with sunglasses. Pretty warming and mode lifting to enhance the shopping experience. The patronage was pretty busy with shoppers; yet they were calm and respectful of space and others. I love the flower assortment at Trader Joe's and as always its my first pit stop. I was able to nab some cool charm flower bouquets. Their flower selection today was skimpy. The blueberries were a bit on the small side for "jumbo" label and price. I grabbed a few fruit selections and meat and without delay checked out and into my car with easy and stress-free. A nice rainy Memorial Day brought shopping ease and enjoyment.

They were only $5.99/lb and staring me in the face so I tried a smallish container in case there were too spicy for my tastes. Once I got home and tried them I knew I would be back for more. Grauls also has delicious cakes although the bakery told me they do not make fancy cakes now. When i showed them a picture of a fancy unicorn cake we ordered from them in Feb they said they don't do that anymore. We ordered a cake from them anyway, and it was still delicious, but I guess they no longer put all those pretty frosting flowers and decorations all over the place and it's just a normal plain cake you could get at any supemarket.

I like the international foods section where they have Goya products (I prefer the calamari in marinara) ! I also tried 2 ginger 'shots' (1 of which I tried while I was on the bench inside the Giant) while I was and they were very spicy ! ...But good lol. They also carry Rao's products! I happened upon a security guard inside the Giant and I confirmed he carried a gun (because I think I saw it as I walked in). It turns out he is an employee of a private security firm that won business with Giant and he is armed due to his private security firm 'allowance'? He said he also 'carried' all the time off of work. I was shocked that he was armed in Giant (a grocery store!) and said something of the sort. I think it 'overlord' to carry a gun in a grocery store. If this is the case across the country why are they possibly arresting, beating, shooting people maybe for 'stealing/shoplifting' a little bit of food or baby products! Maybe people have no money and need a little assistance while maintaining their freedom and maybe they have a brother who would pay the bill... all humans need to eat but first and foremost they need cash to live. I wonder if this armed security guard(s) have ever given cash to the homeless... anyway totally weird, Giant and security firm (company) ! They are scaring everyone! And they are not kind. I do like that they have added the self-checkout-- this has decreased their lines considerably. I am really hoping that they bring back the baskets, not having them provides less options for shoppers and is disappointing.
