We had a horrible experience when they installed our washer and dryer yesterday…read more I called and they were very responsive and gave me a quote over the phone for a pick up, install, and hall away for a washer/dryer and dishwasher. I was very clear that there were stairs and my old appliances would have to be disconnected. When they arrived they said the office miss quoted me and did not include the hall away so I said that was fine. They did not use much to protect my floors except of one small plastic mat so yes my floors were scratched. I'm not super upset about that. They broke the valves for the washer. They said it was because they shut the water off for the building at first - but that is the only way to do it - my Hoa always shuts the water off. Then they said the valves must have always been broken but I just did a load of laundry that morning and I had not had any issues in 9 years. It was already 4 pm so I had to pay extra for after hours plumbing service. The plumbers noticed that the dryer vent was damaged when they did the repair. I called the vendor back to see if he can fix it and he refused to do so without an extra cost. He actually asked me to go buy the vent at Home Depot. I asked him why and he said that vent was damaged because there was not enough room but my plumbers showed me that it could have just been tucked in and that it looked like someone just pushed in the washer/dryer without any care. Then he said the plumbers damaged the vent when they pulled out the dryer but the plumbers showed it to me right away. I want to point out that I was in property management for 12 years so I know these plumbers well and they come highly recommended by most property managers. On top I realized that the installer told me that the dishwasher wouldn't fix so they didn't install it and still charged me for the install. All the appliances were from a family member who said it was very weird that he said the dishwasher didn't fix because it was just a standard size. So I was over charged and all the damage they caused cost me an additional $800.00 for the plumber and having someone else repair the dryer vent.

When I asked them when they could come out to fix the door, they sent me a form to fill out with the details, including my credit card number. They told me they would contact me after payment was processed to set up a date to come out, which was totally unacceptable to me. As a general rule, I don't pay for services not yet rendered, and in this case, not even scheduled. I pushed back, but they stated this was company policy. After reading other Yelp reviews, I found that this company collects payment up front, but frequently doesn't follow through on promises as far as dates when the service/install is to be performed. In the end, I decided to look for another company. My recommendation would be to move on to another business who can conduct business in a normal fashion. Too many negative reviews on promises made but not kept.

They also came and picked up the desk and delivered it back here as well... this was a risk for us because we had reached out to a handful of companies a couple years ago and looked at their work online and was just not happy with their work. A long overdue review for CustomBuilt-Ins…read more We can't thank Doug and Eric enough for everything they did for us. We had a water leak in our kitchen Memorial Day of 2025. Repipe complete, then the builder came in. The project was to replace the island, lower cabinets of one wall, and repaint the kitchen. They took our check and started. Then virtually no progress in June, July, August, September, and October. I eventually drove to their shop to get my cabinets as they were unable to return them. We reached out to Doug at the beginning of November and he said they could help us out. They custom built and installed our island. They rebuilt our custom kitchen cabinets, and finished the kitchen painting. We were asking them to come in and finish a project that they had no history or familiarity with what we wanted, right before Thanksgiving. Doug and Eric spent time talking and working with us so we were all on the same page. Schedules made, notification messages of arrivals, and we always had a clear understanding of what will be done each day.
