Precision did a great job moving my refrigerator/freezer back into position after a remodel. Super professional, careful and extremely neat. I had an issue with my icemaker, that turned out to have nothing to do with the move, but Tony came back TWICE to try to figure it out. Ultimately it was an issue with the icemaker itself. We had a horrible experience when they installed our washer and dryer yesterday. I called and they were very responsive and gave me a quote over the phone for a pick up, install, and hall away for a washer/dryer and dishwasher. I was very clear that there were stairs and my old appliances would have to be disconnected. When they arrived they said the office miss quoted me and did not include the hall away so I said that was fine. They did not use much to protect my floors except of one small plastic mat so yes my floors were scratched. I'm not super upset about that. They broke the valves for the washer. They said it was because they shut the water off for the building at first - but that is the only way to do it - my Hoa always shuts the water off. Then they said the valves must have always been broken but I just did a load of laundry that morning and I had not had any issues in 9 years. It was already 4 pm so I had to pay extra for after hours plumbing service. The plumbers noticed that the dryer vent was damaged when they did the repair. I called the vendor back to see if he can fix it and he refused to do so without an extra cost. He actually asked me to go buy the vent at Home Depot. I asked him why and he said that vent was damaged because there was not enough room but my plumbers showed me that it could have just been tucked in and that it looked like someone just pushed in the washer/dryer without any care. Then he said the plumbers damaged the vent when they pulled out the dryer but the plumbers showed it to me right away. I want to point out that I was in property management for 12 years so I know these plumbers well and they come highly recommended by most property managers. On top I realized that the installer told me that the dishwasher wouldn't fix so they didn't install it and still charged me for the install. All the appliances were from a family member who said it was very weird that he said the dishwasher didn't fix because it was just a standard size. So I was over charged and all the damage they caused cost me an additional $800.00 for the plumber and having someone else repair the dryer vent. read more

What an ordeal. This company sent two guys who smelled like beer. Then they put two old pieces of wood in our cut out to raise the oven. They measured but still installed the wood which was off my an entire inch. They couldn't pull it together to go get the supplies that would work for the job. It was painful to watch. They finally gave up. The worst part was they lied on the invoice stating that the reason they didn't install was that the cut out was too small. The invoice was also signed by them on the customer line. I'm annoyed! This company came out to give me an estimate for my downdraft stove top about a month ago through Howard's appliances. There was specific conversation about cutting the opening longer and aligning the exhaust underneath the counter. Today I got a completely new guy who came to install my appliance. So he had no idea about the previous conversation. Nothing has been put in writing. Then to top it off, the new range did not align correctly so I now have to be charged an additional $55...in addition to the price of the cut. These guys are awesome. My refrigerator got delivered and much like the other posts, the carrier refused to bring in our refrigerator if it is too big to fit through the door. So I called precision appliances and they were able to come in in a day or two. The installers (I forgot their names but were Vietnamese), called me ahead of time, couple minutes before arriving. When they got to my place, they were very professional, measured and tried to fit the refrigerator before taking the doors out. Eventually they had to take the doors out, but were so careful in handling our appliance. They checked everything before they left even cleaned up and took all the plastic covers for me. I would NOT recommend this place. They missed each of the appointments they set up for me, they weren't prepared for the job they said they would do, and they left a gas leak and told me it was normal. They were set up by a local appliance store (Pacific Sales). I needed to change my gas line to install a dryer. They called to set up a pre-inspection, a morning appointment. After I cleared my morning, they called and said they would be there in the afternoon. No rationale given. So, I had to reschedule. That really wasn't a big deal. The technician showed up, said he could do the job, and gave me some suggestions about moving my gas valve and recessing it into the wall a bit. They told me to schedule the work and installation when I knew the dryer delivery date. When I found out the date, I called to schedule the appointment. They have me a time. I didn't hear from them on the date they committed to, so I called them. They didn't have any record of my appointment! So they scheduled me for the next day. When the technician came, he was just going to install the dryer as is, and didn't tell me he wasn't going to move and recess the gas valve. When I asked him why, he said he didn't bring the tools to do the job he committed to! Anyway, they changed the valve to a 90 degree (which worked for me, so that was good). They needed to shut off the gas to the house, but after starting it, they didn't tell me that all my pilots went out, and they didn't do anything to relight any of them. Geez! But, I smelled gas. He said he checked all the fittings, and the smell would dissipate. It didn't. So the next day I called them. They returned my call after an hour and said they wouldn't be able to come until the next day. I'm the mean time, I had to deal with a potential leak. They said they would come the next morning, and call in the morning to confirm a time. They didn't. The next morning, I had to call them. He said he couldn't come until the afternoon! In the afternoon, he said he talked to his boss, and the staff was normal. I needed to run the dryer a few more times and it would go away. So, to end the long story. The gas company finally came out to look at it. The connection Precision made to the dryer was loose!!' The smell wasn't normal. I had a leak! The gas company technician fixed it. Told me that this company did a poor job, and then told me they would have the install faster, cheaper, and they would have relit my pilots and assured no gas leak. I didn't see any urgency on Precisions side to address the problem (that was clearly their fault in the end), which was a safety issue for me and my family. As I said, they didn't keep their appointment times, and they tried to claim the gas smell was normal (!) read more

I ordered 4 appliances from Best Buy and these were the guys they sent. I guess I got lucky. Some of the appliances (including a refrigerator and a stacked washer/dryer) were a very tight fit in a narrow stairwell, but they found ways to get it done, including removing my old appliances. There was plenty to do with all the installation, but they stuck with it until it was finished. Told them it was a 48" fridge and they said as long as it fits through front door it's fine they'll just charge $75 extra to bring it in house instead of leaving it in Garage and an extra $100 to haul away and recycle the old fridge. (They wanted $450 to install, which is not necessary if you have two men in the house that can plug in a plug to an outlet) they were very communicative, confirmed delivery the day before, called the morning of to confirm delivery window, and texted to give me ETA - on that front they were very professional - but then came the bill "No it's $250 for delivery plus $75 and we can't take the old fridge no one told us we are taking an old fridge". We bought a range hood that we needed installed in our house. We called Precision Appliance Installation and they offered to come to our house to provide us with an estimate. Over the phone, nothing was mentioned about a fee for that. After the pre-inspection, they gave us a $55 invoice. At least they applied that amount to the final invoice. Our hood is installed, but it took 4 hours to put it up. The workers didn't have the right sized duct pipe and wanted to put one on that was way too big. My husband eventually ended up going to Home Depot himself, to buy the right size. They also mounted the wall mount up too high and had to screw it in lower again, which leaves us with big black marks and holes in the wall. On top of that, two screws on the side of the hood are not connected. We noticed that they are missing when we tried cleaning the hood. Because the workers had taken off all protective film BEFORE they were done, the hood is full of fingerprints (on stainless steel) that we cannot get off. The photos show what it looks like AFTER we tried cleaning it. For the installation, they quoted us $125 for the electrical work (our wiring needed to be moved) and $145 to install the hood. So we thought that minus the initial fee for the pre-inspection, it would cost us $215. However, once the job was done, our final invoice was $425. All of a sudden, we had to pay $350 for the hood installation, instead of $145. read more

They did a terrible job and now we need to hire someone to come and fit the work they did and check electrical. They damaged my new cabinets and put a huge hole in my cabinets. Under my fridge they put plywood and cardboard to make it level. It is totally visible and looks terrible. We hired Precision Appliance since that's who Howard's Appliances uses for installation. We had a ductless cooktop vent kit installed for our Kitchenaid cooktop. I wasn't sure if the kit would fit under our cabinets so I took some pictures and measurements and sent them to Alex who confirmed that it would fit. The next day, two guys came and installed everything within 30 minutes. What I liked was that we also asked them questions about our other appliances which they were able to give us advise. We also had them look at our dishwasher which was giving us trouble and for an additional fee, they were also able to fix this. Once they got here they immediately removed the old microwave, brought in the new one and the job was finished within 30 to 45 minutes and that includes fixing the vent in the cabinet above that was put in very badly and "bandaged" over the years - without being asked. The bottom line for me is that if I could, I would have Bryan and Tony take care of all my house tasks. I love it when people work together well as a team, do a great job, are thoughtful and careful and get in, get the work done and we all wish each other a good rest of the day! 1.5 stars -- And I think I'm being generous... It may sound dramatic, but Precision really traumatized me with how badly they FAILED at our dishwasher installation. How can a BBB-rated company do such a crap job? We bought a Miele brand dishwasher, and my husband and I went with Precision because they were Miele-certified installers. The Precision techs sent to us were UNQUALIFIED, had no clue how to install an air gap connection to the dishwasher. Regardless of whether an air gap is even really needed for a Miele or not... Either way if a customer wants an air gap connection, the appliance installer should know how to do it properly. The carelessness and shoddy workmanship from Precision was truly appalling... it's not even considered decent by handyman standards! ---Chipped outer kitchen cabinet ---Water damage from loose connections (spraying, puddles, dripping) ---Dishwasher was tilted and misaligned It took them 4 TOTAL separate visits - the initial install followed by 3 attempts to fix. Ultimately they couldn't figure it out, and I had to get someone else (thank you American Kitchens) who came in to fix the mess that Precision made... I struggled between giving 1 and 2 stars for this review. In the world of working with contractors, most would ditch or ignore the client the moment problems start to crop up. While Precision was polite and nice, NICE DOESN'T GET THE JOB DONE. And despite escalating to Nick (the owner/manager) and begging for another tech with more experience on air gap connections. His response was, "All our techs are Miele-certified"...he really dropped the ball, I had no choice but to file a complaint to Miele headquarters. Precision should not have the "certified" or "authorized" installer status, the quality of their work is terrible. The only silver lining was that at least Precision was responsive (didn't ignore us) during the ordeal and gave a refund when requested. But my husband and I shouldn't have had to go through this for almost an entire month. All we wanted was to have a dishwasher that worked, and Precision was an EPIC FAIL. read more

Kitchen installation - range hood with modification, 48" stove, built in drawer microwave and dishwasher. Alex was our technician and he agreed to come out ahead of us ordering the appliances to make sure everything would fit. We have a drop ceiling that makes it impossible to use an in line range hood, and Alex knew exactly what we needed to order and do in order to fit this giant 48" range hood in, in addition to adding a roof jack. He also helped us understand placement of the gas and electrical for the stove. The company was able to accommodate a tight schedule and showed up on time and did a good job installing. They were even able to move this 300 lb stove from the garage into the kitchen. Why 3 stars you ask? Reasons below. - floor protection. I was not home for the installation but we have interior cameras. Throughout the entire process our brand new hardwood was not protected resulting in a lot of scratches and dings. There's even giant chunks of our brand new (solid plywood, not even fiberboard) cabinets missing. - cleanliness. I get that there was a lot of work involved in getting this monstrous range hood where it needs to be, but there were so many dirty handprints on our walls and ceiling afterward. It took a good half an hour of scrubbing and some paint to clean it all up. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, but I do suggest that you stay home and supervise the installation (unfortunately not an option as I was out of town traveling for work). Then you could properly intervene and insist on floor/wall/cabinet protection and cleanliness. read more
