It didn't take me very long to realize that she is very detailed oriented and professional. I've never had an experience like the one I received today and it made all the difference. My hair looked great after the appointment, but I was pretty sad to see my damaged curls after years of successfully getting rid of all the heat damage. If there are people who want to get their hair pressed and are concerned about maintaining their curl pattern, I would bring this concern to the stylists. However, I will add that when I raised this concern they told me they do not use any heat protectant and said it did not work. I can't verify if this is true or not, but I certainly have had stylists use heat protectant and I've had no damage to my curls after washing. Personally, I was not happy to wash my hair and see damaged curls with straight strands, especially since the stylists told me that they needed to straighten my hair for trims and that I needed to come in every 8 weeks. On a more positive note, the stylists were friendly, the music was great, and the products were fantastic : ) Since maintaining my curl pattern is a priority for me, I will not be going back for trims. I also waited a half hour after my scheduled appointment time to be seated. I don't mind having to wait; however, it doesn't seem like there was much grace for Pitre Nest clients who arrived a bit late to appointments.

To add insult to injury after cutting her hair short while my home girl was walking out balling her eyes out she proceeded to promote a product that would "help her hair grow " and I quote " since her hair is gone you can buy this it'll help her hair grow thicker" I've done my friends hair before her hair is always been thick up until she ( the stylist) cut it and thinned it out.. It was set up a month in advance and the morning of the appt, the braider did not respond to my text msgs and phone calls. I almost panicked, but then I quickly started looking for someone who could take me THAT DAY. Grace with TABLA was the 3rd braider I contacted. She quickly responded to my text, requesting pics of my hair and what I wanted done. We then chatted for a few, and the appt was set. We connected within the hour and she started on my hair. She is super sweet and super fast. She did my style in 6.5 hours, and I am so very pleased with the results. As long as Grace is in the LA area, she will be my go-to braider. During my first appointment she listened to me as I expressed my hair concerns (I was, and still am, dealing with post partum hair loss). She heard me, understood me, and together we came up with a game plan. Outside of her ability to get my natural hair straight with just a blow-dryer, she has a wonderful personality. One of the things that I love about Share is that she won't have you sitting under a dryer while she does someone else's hair (I absolutely hate that so many hair stylists do that!). Betty provided one of the best braid experiences I've had outside of my family who typically braids my hair. I got small waist length feed-ins. She was on time, professional and even dipped my hair which I'm accustomed to, but I've found a lot of African braiders don't do. We had great vibes, she educated me on the motherland per my request, and we had great laughs. Men have been complimenting me left and right on my hair, it's so crazy. I'll definitely be back.
