A few coworkers pointed it out and encouraged me to reach back out to the salon to touch it up. They reminded me that it was not worth what I paid and I should get it fixed. I emailed the salon and their response was they could book me a touch up appointment with no discount. That because we were out of the one week window they were not willing to do anything. Very disappointed! I was hoping to be a long term client.

Then I found out the haircut cost $85 dollars lol, he mentioned it while blow drying and my HEART WENT IN MY THROAT, I mean I paid the money and everything but wow that was pretty pricey for just a trim. At least I got my money's worth though, he did use a lot of products and did a nice job.

Cheveux Studio is by by far the BEST HAIR SALON I've ever experienced. It is high-end without the snootiness...it's elegant, modern, stylish and intimate & relaxing. You feel like you don't want to leave... Hilary, the owner, is fantastic. She's been cutting, highlighting and styling my hair for many years. I trust her so much I can't imagine going anywhere else. She is smart, fun, easy to talk with and her work is beautiful. I look & feel stylish and always like a million dollars when I leave. I love my hair and get compliments on the cut and color all the time. Hilary's team is also very knowledgeable and personable. During the pandemic when salons were re-opened, I was hesitant to get my hair done as I am immune compromised ( black mold illness). After checking out Cheveux's pandemic safety protocols I knew I'd be safe there and scheduled my next appointment. This gave me the little boost I've been needing. Cheveux has gone way above and beyond to ensure safety & protection, at the same time providing state of the art styling in a super comfortable atmosphere. The safety protocol includes taking your temperature outside, everyone wears a mask, customer appointments are limited so it is less crowded. Hand sanitizing is done before and after each customer. Work ventilation is excellent. Drinks and food are not allowed. Styling stations are well spaced and surfaces and tools are constantly disinfected. So some good news for everyone in Marin during the pandemic... you can have your hair professionally styled at one of Marin's best salons and be safe too! read more

Behind every stellar enterprise stands a woman and at Cheveux Salon that woman is Hilary Young. Her superior talents as an entrepreneur and stylist have been well-established in these pages. She also donates countless hours and products to clients undergoing chemotherapy and dealing with hair loss. In short, when I think of Hilary, a wonderful bit of dialogue from "As Good as it Gets," comes to mind (paraphrased here) in which Melvin says to Carol: "I might be the only person on the face of the earth that knows you're the greatest individual on earth. I might be the only one who appreciates how amazing you are in every single thing that you do and in every single thought that you have, and how you say what you mean, and how you almost always mean something that's all about being straight and good. I was lucky enough to get to see Rachel during the short time salons were open in July and I have to agree with the other recent reviewer, that they are really taking the health and safety of their clients very seriously. They certainly are going the extra mile with the precautionary measures. We wore masks, Rachel took my temp, and my chair and surrounding areas were all thoroughly sanitized. It was just me and Rachel in the salon, but I think that the layout of the salon is ideal for keeping separation. The stylists have their own walled-in "stalls". I felt completely safe and would have no issue being in there at the same time as other stylists/clients. Kudos to Rachel and the salon. I hope that they are able to open again soon! read more

I have followed Eran from salon to salon. She has been at Cheveux for a couple of years now (at least) and is a wonderful colorist and stylist. I arrived with an absolute emergency of a mess, a cut off all your hair, how did I get here, MESS. Major chemical/product damage, it was not viable. I was fully resigned to a short bob for a complete restart, but she was able to use her skill to come up with what she called a "custom haircut" and that's exactly what it was. Where the texture was once straw/sandpaper, is now silk. I cannot recommend Susan enough! If she can make sunshine come out of THIS experience, I can only imagine what she is capable of working with other clients.
