One of my go to gas stations mostly since it's on my way out of town. 12 pumps with long hoses if you can't get gas cap side next to pump. Normally I don't review gas stations unless they are really yanky or have champagne service while filling up. I mean, they are gas stations, right!!!! As heading out of town we pulled into the dreaded pump #7. The slowest pump in town. Seriously, I shaved this morning and by the time I filled up I had to go home and shave again. The location is ideal. The parking and pump access is great, as there are 12 pumps. The snack bar is okay. There's many many drink choices! Now... for the extra cost of gas, the leaf they can do is have windshield fluid and squeegees at every pump!!! This is a pet peeve to have to walk around a and look for a squeegee and fluid... what's worse is half the time they only put out water :( No public restrooms. read more

Not sure if they change ownership or not but gas price here has increase alot more then other gas stations around the area while customer service has equally decreased came here on 1/29 at around 3pm, clerk at the front counter (middle age man) dint even bother to look up to help me, i wanted to pay cash for gas he was to busy looking at his phone. I waited one minute before i ask him are you done looking at your phone he just mumbled and still dint want to help me so i simple left and went to the gas staion next to them. My car was running empty and so was I so I headed here as I do so often. I like to fill up my car with the good stuff... and particularly convenient are also the best almond croissants on the planet just across the street at Crispian bakery. This Chevron is convenient to the highway and in a relatively safe neighborhood. Been here probably 100 times over the past 6 years and it is always a pleasant experience. I've been here early in the mornings and late at night. It is kitty corner to the Marketplace. So once I filled up my car I filled me up at the Marketplace and headed to Feel Good bakery for a sandwich and fruit tart. This is a convenient one stop shop. read more

My favorite place to fill up in all of the bay area! This place is by far the CHEAPEST out of all the name brand gas stations especially in Alameda. I mean, Costco and Safeway are cheap but they don't have Techron in there. Also the window cleaning solution has a pleasant smell to it. The only thing I don't like about this place is the location of the air and water station, it can be dangerous because its so close to the entrance on the Park st side. I'm definitely enjoying the the cheaper gas prices right about now and wish they could be like this forever... but they will probably go up ::sigh:: YES for cheap gas prices!!! read more

Knocking a star off from my previous review. This station have been my go to station for the past few years. Top Tier, right off the bridge, very convenient. Now I have noticed the pumps here are insanely slow and I only have a 13 gallon tank. I tried both the half tigger and full trigger - they both seem to pump at the same speed. Makes me think if the filters here are being replaced at a regular basis. Needless to say, I'd be going to a different station now. read more

I am a repeat customer. Been coming to this gas station for decades. Today I came to pump gas. I stuck my card in and I had to go in to see the cashier. The cashier was very rude. He asked me if I saw the cone laying on the side in front of it. I didn't know that meant the pump was not in service. He could've stuck a sign on it or had the words out of order in it rather than saying go see cashier. After our conversation and his tone of voice I got in my car and drove off to the one on Webster. I had been stuck I I-880 for over 2 hours because of an accident and needed to find a restroom. I found this place and topped off my tank (it was 1/2 low) and went inside to use the restroom but didn't see one. The lady was in the back and I asked her if there was a restroom. She was so rude and just pointed to the side. So I went outside and walked over to the toilet area. Yuck, what a filthy nasty place to relieve yourself! If I thought I could make it to a Starbuck's or somewhere else I would have left but my bladder left me no choice. They decide the best time to have the gas truck give them a refill is Monday morning at 8:00, shutting down two pumps and one exit. They have a sign on the pump saying "Some transactions will be declined for your safety. See an attendant." My card always declined at the pump, goes through fine inside. They do accept Safeway gas rewards though. read more

This is my Chevron of choice when I'm in Alameda. I always pump gas at the same pump but I can't remember at the moment which number it is lol The workers here are nice. No complaints yet. There is A LOT of space between gas pumps. If you're gassing up in the center pump and you finish and there's a car in front and behind you gassing up still. This is my station of choice. It's very busy here. They have bathrooms. You can wash the windows here. The place is clean. The people are nice. Their prices have always been the best too. I like their gas as it is of best quality I have ever used. I use diesel and I'm always looking at the pump prices. read more

This review is of the GAS and the GAS ONLY. I have the joy of owning a high performance turbo car and unfortunately I live in California. This means, the highest octane I have access to is 91. For anyone that cares about the octane of their gas, then you understand that a higher octane will allow your ecu to advance timing while avoiding pre-detonation. IE make more power. For whatever reason the 91 octane from this gas station doesn't seem to actually be 91 octane. Or at least, not as good as other 91 octanes I've used else where. I know because I can monitor the engines knock sensors via the OBDII port. Every time I fill up here, my knock sensors go crazy and I can see the ecu begin to retard timing. For most cars, this isn't an issue. An ecu will retard timing, producing less power, but protecting the engine from harm. But when you own a high performance vehicle, you want ever last HP you can get. As a result, I warn anyone who has a high performance vehicle or cares about the power their car is producing to avoid this gas station. read more

I used to be a BIG BIG BIG fan of this gas station. Reasonable price, CLEAN station and AWESOME people work here. I always come to this gas station for drinks or maybe gum before my daily commute. I also had the pleasure exchanging pleasantries with people who work here as well. They are nothing but nice, hardworking and decent people. Unfortunately, the owner decided to sell his gas station to Chevron. From that point forward the culture and the morale in this gas station went down hill. The people are still smiling and as courteous as ever but the "mom-and pop" culture and personality is gone. Under the old management, customers input would be implemented immediately and there was great interaction between customers and the people who work here. Under the new management, things move a lot slower and less personal. It seems like the employees have been prohibited to use their common sense and judgement and have to ask for confirmation from their new "Queen" before making any decision. As long as the old crew is still there, I would still come to this station. But I'm afraid it would be a lot less frequent than what I used to. It is sad to see family operated gas station have to surrender to big corporation like Chevron. The demise of family operated business in Alameda will definitely lessen the charm of small cities like Alameda. I have nothing against multi national conglomerate like Chevron. They are the necessary evil. But I choose to spend my money as much as possible on local and independent merchants. But that's just me. read more

Stopped to get a quick gas card. Woman at counter ("Kammy") asked me to pay either cash or debit. I paid debit and after entering my PIN the screen read "Approved" for $50.00. Kammy attempted to process the gas card but couldn't get the balance she had charged me to load onto the card. She then asked me to swipe my debit card one more time. I refused since she had already charged me $50.00. She insisted the transaction had not gone through. I stood there, called my bank and they confirmed over the phone the transaction had hit my account. Kammy still refused to do anything. I called the Alameda Police who advised me to wait a few days to be sure the debit had hit my account and if it did, I should come back and ask the merchant to reimburse me. Three days later I went to talk to a whole new set of characters. "Wing" told me there is nothing he can do to help me. He refused to do anything and told me to call a number for their offices. When I called a woman answered in what I can only assume was Cantonese. The case is still pending with the Alameda Police Department. read more

Always come here whenever I'm in the area and need gas. Prices are usually pretty good. Station is large, has lots of pumps and a fully stocked store. Clean and service is quick when I've needed it. This stations roof is VERY tall, so big trucks to tour buses can fit. ( They sell diesel ). Great for me. read more
