A gas station has to be pretty bad for someone to take the time to write a review about it. This is the last time I will ever go to this station. Most of the card readers are broken. You'll have to go inside to pay, or keep moving your car to find one that works. I have 3 toddlers, which I'm not unloading to go pay inside a gas station. Today I got a working card reader on the 4th pump I tried. They never have paper in their machines to print receipts. They are always more expensive than surrounding stations. I went to this location at 0530 this morning. The lady at the counter saw me but refused to acknowledge me, while I waited patiently outside the locked doors. After a few minutes, I decided to knock so I can give her my cash. She signaled telling me to wait as she continued to complete personal and non-business related matters. It looked like she was organizing her lunch box as she proceeded to the back room leaving me in the cold. After several more minutes of waiting outside, the lady never came out and I decided to look for an alternative method of paying. Thank goodness that I found an extra credit card in my car. This lady had no sense of customer service whatsoever. She needs to realize that customers waiting outside the door to pay only takes a matter of seconds. She couldve taken my cash and allow me to pump. However, she decided to prioritize personal matters over providing customer service. She wears glasses, heavy set with black hair. If anyone has had their car damaged at this car wash, please leave a review. I highly recommend NOT using this car wash. My Toyota Tacoma was damaged pretty badly in this car wash (see pics). I purchased my wash at the gas pump, then got in line, with cars in front and then behind, pretty much boxed in. Apparently, they posted signs warning that they're not responsible for damage, which I admittedly didn't see. I spoke to cashier, then Mercedes the manager, who then had me call Kim at their office. I explained that when I purchased the wash at the pump, there was no warning either on the screen or on my receipt with the carwash code. She said I could have driven on through (not entered my code) and come back to get a refund (after waiting fifteen minutes to go through) after I'd seen the signs warning me that I was going through the car wash at my own risk. Anyway, I go to car washes all the time, have never had an issue. They wouldn't compensate me for the price of the driving light and bumper cover and an hour of labor to repair. Very rarely do they have fresh soapy water and good squeegees for cleaning windshields, the Chevron Downtown by Safeway is the best in town for that. This Chevron has much higher prices than all the gas stations nearby, a quick stop but I avoid coming in when I'm really low. Today they were 30 cents higher, on empty it'd be $5+ more. You get what you pay for and that's true for the car wash at this gas station. This review is specifically for the carwash. I came here yesterday to fill my gas tank and knew it was going to be a nice week without a rain cloud in sight so why not get a car wash while I'm here. I bought the ultimate car wash for $13.99 and it washed my car pretty good. It didn't clean the corners or my rear view mirrors, but for the price and time it took to clean, it was worth it to me. The car wash code does expire a week after you buy it so if you don't plan on getting one that day then don't buy one. If you're expecting an 100% clean service I recommend driving down Tennessee and go to the car wash service there. You'll be paying over $50 plus tip. read more

Car wash was expensive, and shut down. With no indication to anybody who is at the pumps where you pay for it. I went inside to request a refund and the attendant - Gary - pitched a fit and refused to assist me with my refund because I moved a parking cones 6 inches near his car. He insisted that I leave the store immediately and come back the following day and speak with a manager. I found no way to contact a manager from what is available on the outside of the store. Gary refused to give me any assistance other than telling me to come back the following day. read more

I wish I could give this station no stars. Their pumps are always slow no matter what time of day you go there. I'm sure the owner knows this but doesn't care to service his pumps. I was there yesterday to buy gas and the pump didn't automatically shut off when my tank was full so gas was spilling out of my tank. I paid for extra gas that I didn't use. They really need to overhaul their pumps. This is the closest gas station to my house and on my way to work. I try not to stop here and would recommend that you not give them any business either. read more

This is the closest gas station to me for convenience. I would totally boycott this place too. However, when my tank is low I have no choice. Dumbest gas station ever. Filled up gas and they don't have a restroom. WTF?!? A gas station without a restroom?

This is the closest gas station to my house. I will say they've gotten better over the years. A few tips for this place though... 1. Don't come right when they open in the am. It will take you incredibly long to pump your gas. Their pumps need awhile to warm up and get going in the mornings. 2. Beware of the lady that works here mid afternoon. She doesn't give a flying rip about anything. She looks so miserable. I try to come in the mornings when the younger guy is working (mike I think). 3. They don't take large bills. Period. Don't try and convince them. 4. Befriend the gentleman at night (the Hispanic looking one) and you'll always have conversations of his day that drag on just to keep your company. He is nice but sometimes you've got other things to do. 5. Their car wash is ok. Better than it used to be. read more

Horrible customer service. I bought a car wash asked if it didn't get my car clean enough if I could run it through again the manager rudely said "no" I'd have to buy another car wash. When I asked for the owners number and name I was told by the cashier that I didn't want to talk to him he wouldn't be helpful and would tell me not use their car wash. Their prices are the highest in Benicia. There receipt doesn't have a phone number either to the store or to chevron customer service. The cashier states that they are an independent store so they don't if known how to get ahold of chevrons customer service. I wish I could put pictures up of the condition. Car Wash Theft Paid for the basic wash last week but had no time to do it. Went today and code was invalid. Look at the receipt and its "expired"! A car wash expires after a week? Where on any of the signs does it warn you that? Isn't it fraudulent to sell you something with an expiration date you can't see until after you've paid for it? Went in the store to try and reason with the attendant; "True" he said his name was. He was very rude and accusatory and refused to give me a new code so I could get the wash I paid for. Someone (Dirk Fulton still the owner?) owes me a wash (or owes my employer - it was a work car) $8. Don't think I'll buy any products there ever again. read more

Pretty decent place, but I find this place to be just a little bit overpriced. I highly recommend heading down the freeway a bit down to the Valero which has the best prices in town due to the refinery not even a mile away from the station. But this business is good if you are just headed home or really really need gas. read more

Easy to access off of 780. Gas is always more expensive though than any other station around. Car was is ok, though it has brushes which can damage paint. I only go here when I'm almost out of gas due to the price. Don't forget your Safeway club card to save money. read more

Car wash is old and does not do a good job. There are often pumps not working and prices are a bit high.

This Chevron has gas prices about .20 - .25 cents higher than any other nearby Chevron station.

Often not open when advertised. Gas spills everywhere, no paper towels to clean up. Water for windows filthy every time. Garbage stinks and not emptied often. Not a pleasant experience. I only use it in emergencies. Enough is enough, step it up a notch Chevron! read more

Being located at a freeway access point, their prices are expectedly higher than other stations. I could live with that for the convinience but, their carwash absoultely sucks! Don't use it whatever you do. Not only are their carwash prices way too high ($8, $10 & $12) and they don't give you any discount on the fuel purchase for purchasing the wash, the thing is always out of wack and leaves your car wet and like you just rinsed it off with a hose instead of well washed and dryed! I've been dumb enough to try it twice, just to see if they actually upgraded anything because the sign said, "new management" and "new soft brush wash". Well, there was nothing new about it. This gas station is the worst! First, they never have any receipt papers at the gas pump. Second, the service attendants inside are horribly rude! And third, when a pump is out of order you would think they would have common courtesy to put an "out of service" label for people to know the pump isn't working!
