I lived on Madison Street between Solano Avenue and Buchanan Street, so this gas station was SUPER close to me. It was in a perfect location if I needed to fuel up going to or returning from work/school and chose to take Marin Avenue. It was also a perfect location if I was off for a longer driving adventure and needed to fill my car's tank before heading out. Gas prices were consistently solid and the gas station on the whole cleanly. Pumping stalls were easy to pull in and out of. Yeah... the car wash wasn't very good when I used it. Though I was also trying to get off some sap that dripped on my car when I parked it under a tree near campus while at work one day. This was (and is) no ordinary sap, it is still on my car years later and requires some special (for me) supplies to get it off. So for the time being I have given up the fight and accepted the clear and horrible smelling tree sap as a permanent decoration on the exterior of my car. The car wash here did a decent job of getting grime off my car. Didn't hit every nook and cranny, but a good start leaving those places for me to clean later by hand at home.

Club Mallard is easy to pass by - but for me I recognize it as a landmark of sorts. Right next door you can find a gas station with fair prices. They are not the cheapest in town but they aren't two dollars more per gallon like some random gas stations. A small discount is given if you pay cash. I always use credit and I get a small percentage cash back. I think its a toss up - do what makes you happy - and for me that is a convenient streamlined payment process. I've never had any issues with credit card theft. I usually do tap to pay at a Chevron and I think that is harder for Kriminals to tamper with. I think its always best to take a pump that is closest to the windows of the minimart too. I don't know much about the minimart - I never went in. I hear that is the only place gas stations really make profit. Sort of like selling drinks at restaurants.

They are very busy, but always take the time to chat and understand what is going on with our cars, as well as give us sage advice on how to keep them running optimally. We had a problem with an unknown noise coming out of our Subaru, and they spent quite a bit of time driving it around and disassembling suspect areas. We couldn't pinpoint the issue, but Said laid out all the potential worst-case scenarios, none of which were terrible, putting us at ease. I don't recall that he charged us anything. Another time our Prius had a flat, just before Thanksgiving, and even though they had lots of cars to work on, they still squeezed us in and got it going again so we could make our holiday travel possible. All pricing is very reasonable, and as far as I can tell, below what most others would charge. They are honest, and try to save you money by not doing unnecessary repairs. Stopped by on my lunch break the other day for a quick car wash…read more When you arrive, you have the option between two lines, cash/card and card only. The line with cash/card takes you to a window where your transaction is completed by an employee and the card only line is a self service kiosk. Both lines move very quick! You have two options: $10 standard wash or $15 premium wash. I went for the standard wash since I didn't need anything fancy! Just need to get some dead bugs and bird poop off my car. The whole experience from check-in to check-out was less than 8 minutes! I felt that the dryers at the end of the car wash are exceptional. No streaks left behind and my car was basically fully dry. I was even able to roll my windows down within 5 minutes of leaving with no water streaks! It was a little tough exiting the car wash since the tunnel releases you right onto the Main Street (San Pablo Ave). A bit bummed that they don't offer vacuums to use or a vacuuming service but it's okay! If you're looking for just a quick wash, this is the place to go!

You can check their website ahead of time for what each service entails but to be honest, I love that there are only two choices ~ in our world today we have so many things on our mind that taking endless options off our list is what I want and need. Love a good $10 deal at 8am! When you arrive you're placed in one payment lane or the other if busy, but truly all you need is to know which service you're doing, pay, and you're on your way. With solid service, a solid clean, and hours that accommodate most, this is my local spot. We always turn on fun music during the wash itself. It appears there are also vacuums you can park pre/post wash to utilize on your own. Also on the website it looks like you can get the app and purchase 'unlimited advanced' or 'unlimited ultimate' washes for a monthly set price. That's cool and convenient! There aren't too many car washes like this in the East Bay still ~ leave me a note if there's one you love to roll through windows up and the jams playing!
