On the outside it looks like a Chevron station but when you enter inside you feel like you are at a K Mart that ate a 7-11. Head to the restroom and you pass through the clothing department. Try and relieve yourself and you are distracted by the announcement of a blue light special on the jerky aisle. Why gas stations feel they need to become Sam's Clubs is beyond me. We stop here because most of the time the restroom is clean. Gas is high and the occasional I-5 dumper that will stink up the toilets causes me to only give this place 3 stars. Worth the visit? If you gotta go or on a clock like me, it might be the best around. Just be prepared to pay more for gas and occasionally overcome the stink of an I-5 crapper. read more

This Chevron Station Owner or Manager should be FIRED and employees trained to treat Customers with respect. Stopped for fuel during Thanksgiving week and had a 13 year old Great-Granddaughter and 10 year old grandson with me. They needed to use the restroom and the clerk at the counter Hollered Bathroom Closed!!! NO WATER as a lady just walked out of the bathroom. Both had to Pee behind the building were Construction Crew next door could see them. I have been a Chevron Card Holder since I got out of the Army some 50 years ago and this made me sick to my stomach. Theses people are Hateful !! DO NOT STOP HERE FOR ANY REASON!!! I always like to review gas stations here on Yelp when I'm on a road trip. I guess it gives me something to do while my boyfriend does all the driving...muwahahaha. Aside from the fact that I use Safeway / Vons gas rewards, I like that this station has a low-price incentive to use cash. I laughed when I saw the existing photos of the unclean bathrooms on here...luckily, no puddles of urine on the floor when I entered. There's 2 stalls in the women's, and 1 stall / 1 urinal in the men's. And even a bench outside of both, if you need to wait for a vacancy lol. Jasmine, the employee at the counter, was very friendly. She re-booted the lotto machine just for me! I appreciated the gesture, because she could have easily told me it was broken & shooed me away. But she didn't :D so thank you, Jasmine. I hope I hit the jackpot lol. She even told me "have a nice day" as I exited. A great experience at a seemingly mundane stop. read more

This Chevron always has a big sign inside saying that the restroom is closed. No other Chevron does this. It's obviously intentional because they done want customers to use it so they don't have to clean it. Go to the Arco next door. read more

Right next to Carl's Jr, they sell my Jumbo seeds! Original, Ranch, BBQ, Hot Mexicali, they got them all. I've stopped in this little gas station to refill my tank, but the main reason is for my seeds~ The fuel prices aren't exorbitant like other I-5 stations and the place is clean. read more

This is my go to stop for snacks and gas on my way up to NorCal. It's conveniently located off the 5 freeway and the staff are always friendly. The taco food truck outside is a nice addition as it tasted really authentic. Considering, the limited restaurant choices nearby, I was pleasantly surprised of the quality and value of the Mexican food. I will continue to stop by on my way up and down to NorCal and continue to support small businesses. read more

Oh. My. Gosh. The bathrooms are HORRENDOUS! There are 2 stalls. One has used tissue piled 2-3 feet high, and the other reeks of fish. The soap dispenser is nearly empty, and there are no paper towels. It looks as if this bathroom hasn't been cleaned or tended to in months. The faucet handles are rusty and spin 360 degrees, making it hard to turn off. If it wasn't an emergency, I would have gone to Arco next door. It can't be nearly as bad! My son said the men's bathroom was just as bad. I would have taken pictures but I had to get out of there because of the smell! read more

Just like how you have your "home" gas station that you know, love, and always go to no matter what (almost) ... this is my track day Chevron that I always end up at ... no matter what! I guess there's nothing particularly special about it. The entrance is steep and the exit is just as bad, you can see many scrapes from the plethora of lowered cars that have attempted to come through here and failed. Also the prices are ok, and the pumps are extraordinarily slow. But despite all of those things ... there's definitely something nostalgic about this Chevron for me from my first visit to Buttonwillow almost a dozen track days ago. It's well lit, I think that's about the only good thing it's going for it! read more

This place is easy to arrive at since they are right at the exit of the 5. Lots of pumps. Good driveway to get in and out of. McD is down the block for fries and a coke. So, yes, the men's facilities are terrible. Not much they can do about it. It's the clientele that are pigs. But it still is gross. But the most gross thing this time was the older guy that works there. He didn't wash his hands after exciting the stall. I was at the "stand up" porcelain hurrying to finish do that I could get to the sink before the person in the stall. Well, I washed up first and then suddenly someone burst out of the stall and out the door. I exit and see it's the older guy in suspenders with greying hair and beard. ***My trip to this Chevron was better than what I experienced at the Arco next door since the Arco pumps' debit card machines did not seem to be working (maybe you have to go in the store to pay there); still, the gas at this Chevron was much more expensive than Arco and I believe there is an additional cost per gallon if you use a credit card; this Chevron is conveniently located right off the freeway*** I think there are a few free parking spots available if you just need to pick up a snack or drink. read more

Clean the restroom! Chevron has a reputation for clean, stocked restrooms. So not happy to have stopped here while traveling.

Sadly, this review is my first 1 star review, ever. After pulling up to the station and getting all connected at a pump... it simply wasn't working. I hit the Help button a few times... no answer. I hit it a few more times and then decided to go in. When I went inside, the cashier was talking it up with a local about local gossip and was selling her a lotto ticket... this transaction took more than 5 minutes. 5 mins doesn't seem like much, but when you detect the apathy for this girl to do her job and rather just sit there and talk... Arg!! Even the customer kept looking at me and looked as if she started to feel badly for me. Finally, the cashier is all mine... As I'm talking with her and her 20 hickies around her neck I explain my situation. She seemed upset and walked out with me to the pump. So far so good right? As we make it to the pump, she waived her arms and said, "I don't know" and walked away. WALKED AWAY! Um, Hey!! You wanna tell me to pull up to another pump or anything? My next move was to drive to the Arco next door. I was willing to 20¢++ more per gallon at Chevron too but I simply couldn't tolerate the employee there any more. read more

Worst gas station ever. We needed to pump air in our car tires and I went in and asked for them to turn it on. They said we needed to have been a customer first and pump gas. I let them know it's California law that air and water is free. The attendant was adamant their ownership felt different. There were signs up everywhere stating bathrooms were for customers only too. (Thankfully that wasn't needed) There are about 5 other gas stations next to this station, I encouraged you to go to them. By the way: it is the law in California that gas stations give free air and water. read more

Wow, usually you count Chevons to be on the nicer side when it comes to gas stations, not so much this one. I stopped here on one of my countless drives up and down the I-5. The credit card machine wasn't working and it told me to go inside to pay. There were no other pumps available so so I go in, give my pump number and pay. The lady behind the counter couldn't have been more oblivious, she had a bluetooth headset in her hear and was flipping through a magazine. I go to my car and tried to pump but it wasn't working. I went back and checked in with her and she said everything was fine and to try pumping again. I go back, still not working. I start to worry that she approved the wrong pump. I go back a third time and follow up, she still says everything looks fine that its pumping. I ask her which pump she authorized and of course it was the wrong one and proceeds to blame me for telling her the wrong pump number. As an aside, I tell her that I used to work at a gas station summers growing up and that telling the wrong pump number is one of the most common problems customers do, I always double check before I go in to pay. When I used to work at a gas station, I was trained to always ask a customer which was their car to double check for them because if you get it wrong its on the attendant ...NOT THE CUSTOMER. The attendant has to eat that cost out of their pocket (as I had before) because it is neither customers fault. I explain all this to her and she finally relents and authorizes a credit, but tries to short change me on the amount that the other costumer pumped. Again not cool. I took my credit and just went to another gas station. read more
