    Pastor Tacos
    Melody D.

Pastor tacos were great! Service was friendly and super quick for a Saturday during lunch hours. There's some seating inside of the gas station but this is more of a take out location versus a typical sit down restaurant.

al pastor, barbacoa, lengua on corn tortillas

Stopped by Fuel Town with my boyfriend on his recommendation before a Stars game on Saturday and was blown away by the price and quality of the street tacos here! I love me a good street taco and was very excited to try these. Boyfriend recommended the lengua and barbacoa, so I got two of each, and I was also curious to try the al pastor, so I got two of those as well. I'm normally a flour over corn tortilla person, but with street tacos I always want to keep it simple and authentic, so I usually get them with corn tortillas. There was a little hiccup after I asked for no cilantro and they included it anyway, but they fixed that quickly for me. All the tacos came out piping hot, and the corn tortillas were chewy and moist. The al pastor was deliciously spiced - it's billed as "spicy pork" in English on the sign, but it's not particularly hot at all. The lengua was also tender and flavorful, but my favorite of the meal was definitely the barbacoa. Juicy and melt in your mouth, it was perfect with the corn tortillas and the grilled onions that came on the side. No cheese or extra frills needed! I'd love to come back and enjoy these tacos again in the future; I also hear that on weekdays they have a elotes lady selling corn in a cup outside the gas station, so I gotta come back again when she's around to try that as well!

I paid $4 tip upfront. They charged $1 per extra salsa. Burrito wasn't wrapped. They left my complimentary salsa open. WASTE OF MONEY DO NOT GO HERE

Burned egg. No cheese which I paid 50 cents for

Used to love but now they are sooo rude. I tipped two dollars. T even a thanks. Eyes rolling at me. I ordered egg potatoes cheese taco and to steak tacos. No cheese in my egg so I asked the girl who tried to charge me for cold cheese on a now cold taco. Eggs burned (browned scrambled eggs taste wiNo apologies. Later I saw I already paid and tried to show her. And she tried to give me cheese. She spoke English but rolled eyes at me again and when walked off she told the story about it to her coworker and they had a nice laugh. I'm done. Also why does the corn guy not start till after noon. This place used to be my fave but has gone so far down hill with service and food.

I went out of my way just to try their tacos. I like that they are open 24/7 and there are no time restrictions on breakfast or lunch. Their tacos are very reasonably priced but if you love cheese like me, be prepared to pay an additional $0.50 per taco. I have always skipped the cheese when I get their tacos. If you are not a fan of the raw onions, you can ask for grilled onions or you can get both. Cilantro is premixed with raw onions so you can't have one without the other. Their beef fajita tacos are so juicy and delicious. The rice and beans are ok but nothing special. They offer red and green salsa with each taco but I always ask for their green salsa with my tacos. It has just enough kick but not too spicy. Be prepared to bring cash if paying at the window or you can go inside to the counter and pay for your meal with a credit card. This is my second favorite place for beef fajita tacos. Great tacos and excellent customer service.

Unusual place at a gas station. Very good food. Not a special occasion place. Convenience gas station with a taqueria. Had spicy pork taco and carnitas tacos. Enjoyed it.

Reason #100 why we can't build a wall around Texas? The tacos!! Fuel town is this small little drive up shop attached to a gas station that serves up all kinds of tacos. Its absolutely amazing! The meat is so well seasoned and tender. My favorite is the beef tacos, which is the best beef taco(& possibly taco) i've ever tasted. And the price only makes it better. $1.69 per taco. It comes with onions on the side and i only needed three tacos to feel full. Great bang for your buck! I have to mention that the taco sauces included are easily the best taco sauces i've ever tasted. Even if you aren't craving tacos, they have breakfast and even a burger/fries combo for only $3. All in all come here from an all around experience with good tacos, sauces and cheap spending. Food: 5/5 Bang:Buck ratio: 5/5

There are a ton of taco places in downtown Dallas and I'm not talking like new hipster taco joints that serve tacos like "Hawaiian shrimp" I'm talking actual street tacos that only have 3-4 kinds of meats that are usually chicken, barbacoa, and al pastor. There's a ton of them! But Fuel Town tacos stand out and certainly are the cream of the crop. What makes them so yummy to me is that the meat is always juicy and there's really great flavor to them. The barbocoa tacos are the bomb dot com, I remember the first time I went to Fuel Town, I had gotten off work around midnight and was looking for some food. I ordered the tacos, drove away and then when I ate them tacos man oh man I inhaled them fast, almost contemplated driving all the way back to buy some more. I returned the next day and ordered another round of tacos, pretty sure I'm addicted to them here. The tacos come with raw onions, cilantro, lime and cooked onions! The salsa that they give you is also the perfect kick to finish off the whole taco. I will say that since it is downtown Dallas there are occasionally a few homeless people who hang out around that taco place, but I can tell you that it's worth all the trouble going down there to get one! My goto order is 2 barbocoa and 1 al pastor taco all on corn tortilla!

3 taco combo no beans as per my request

Put your preconceived notions aside and go get some tacos and rice from this place. I opted for the three taco combo plate and I just asked for all rice no beans. So so so good! Crane Asada is tender and cut super fine so it just melts in your mouth. I got two of those. The barbacoa is as good as other yelpers say it is. Flavorful and juicy. Go to your atm get 20 bucks out and you and the missus can have a good meal. Trust me.

    Beef and pastor taco

Some of the worst tacos I've ever had. Bacon and egg not pictures was awful. Bacon was hard and cold. Fajita was very salty and almost like shredded beef. Grilled Onion were super cold could taste the cold grease.

The kind of tacos you expect to get at a gas station that sells tacos if you've never heard about it before (think gas station sushi). Not impressed. Purchased 3 tacos for $1.69 each ($5.49 total including tax) and got three very soggy tacos in return. I don't see myself every craving this place or wanting to go back for some quality tacos that won't leave you with an upset stomach. My biggest complaint is how soggy my food was, they literally ripped when I picked it up from the container because of how wet the bottom was. So much oil, fat, and sauce at the bottom it was kinda gross because I could roll it to one side and have quite bit of liquid pool at the corner. The flour tortilla was recommended to me but it really wasn't all that- very doughy and sticky (probably from excess moisture). Would stick with corn next time. Purchased one Barbacoa, one Pollo, and one Beef taco. Stay away from the Barbacoa- it was so slimy that the texture made me gag. Didn't help that there were lumps of fat in there too, barf. Pollo (chicken) was dried but still retained a lot of flavor. I would probably get this one again if I went back. Beef had little to no flavor. Didn't even finish it. Just bland, very dry. You get One Lime plus the "red and green" sauce with grilled/sautéed onions AND raw onions. Wish there was more cilantro with the raw onions than they provided. I love onions but they were cut too thick, kind of hard to stuff into such a little tortilla anyway so it kind of overpowers. Location is at a Chevron Gas Station which is pretty well maintained for being off 35 and in the medical district. You can pay CASH ONLY outside or pay inside at the cashiers' line where you'd purchase gas if you need to pay with CARD. The cashiers will hand you a receipt which you take to the indoor window that's next to Subway. Wait time was less than 5 minutes not bad for lunch but breakfast time is madness- lots of working professionals trying to get a breakfast taco so plan early. Open 24 hours is also nice but I just don't see myself going back here for lunch tacos unless someone else wanted to. Might try the breakfast taco next time Wanted to purchase some Elotes but the people at the cart were gone and I needed to run. The cart is not always there. Small cup = $1.50 Medium cup = $2.50 Large cup = $4.50

Grease that dripped out from me taking a bite.

Was in the area looking for a late night bite and came across this spot. Was a little on the fence--tacos from a gas station but what the heck? Let's try it out. You can order from the window outside or go into the gas station. Either way you have pay at the actual gas station counter. The lady who took my order wrote it on a sticky note that you take to pay and then bring the receipt back to her to retrieve your food. I ordered 5 steak tacos, with cilantro, onion, cheese and sour cream. The cilantro and onion were already mixed together from earlier prep. I would've liked pico too but they didn't have any. They had tomatoes but they looked old so I passed. The cheese and sour cream were an extra charge. The presentation looked good and the tacos were surprisingly good as well. Squeeze a little lime on it!-delicious! They were just really greasy. Also, the onion-cilantro ratio was off as well (too many big onion chunks and not enough cilantro). But overall it was really good and I was surprised. Would definitely go back. Don't judge a book by its cover!

That said, this review is really for people who aren't familiar with CVS or the U.S. drugstore setup. For locals, this is honestly an ideal CVS. It's clean, extremely organized, and very self-explanatory. Everything runs efficiently, and people move in and out quickly. Even when several customers walk in at once, checkout is fast and there's never a real line. It's one of those places where errands feel painless. The only real downside is staffing. There usually isn't more than one employee on the floor, and they're often busy stocking. If you're from out of town--especially if you're unfamiliar with self-checkout or need help navigating the store--that can be frustrating. While the layout makes perfect sense to locals, it might not feel as intuitive to someone visiting from outside the U.S. So while I'd absolutely recommend this CVS to locals for its efficiency and cleanliness, I wouldn't necessarily suggest it as the easiest option for international visitors or first-timers. Yes, it's a little weird to review a CVS--but that's my honest take. i

This is what corner stores are like without the movie tie-in slushies, crew uniforms and district managers: dingy and random. If you want the 7-11 experience, walk a block and a half in practically any direction and soak in a few thousand watts of fluorescent lighting, bright signage and wide aisles. If you want to get your coffee, smokes, giant can of beer, scratch-offs or soda amidst Girls Gone Wild DVDs, weed paraphernalia, blaring r&b music, the terminally unemployed and a micro-casino operating dodgily in the back, then Cost One is for you. The operators are nice guys, and best (worst?) of all, they allow dogs, so you can get coffee while you're out walking your pooch. The coffee is delicious, too. Pricing is seemingly random, but there are some items you can't find anywhere else in downtown. They have some cheap sunglasses and a little "tobacco accessories" section (including scales, pipes, papers and blunt wraps), if you're into that. Mix tapes from local hip hop artists are available at the register. Oversized white tees and other Dallas-themed apparel can be found in racks by the front door. Parking is surprisingly easy, but you're probably walking here. In case you're driving, there's metered parking around the side. This place is a little slice of East Dallas injected into downtown. I would give it five stars, but interacting with the homeless in an enclosed space can get a little sketchy. It also closes early for a convenience store. Still, my favorite convenience store in the city!
