The place was pretty busy with tables mostly occupied. We were ordering to go and the wait was about 10 minutes or so. We both got the poke bowl and these are the steps. 1. Select a base - Sushi rice, Brown rice or Spring mix salad. 2. Select 2 flavors. There are about 12 options of Ahi, Salmon and Shrimp. It was my first time and I always like to go with their recommendations, which is Furikake Bomb Ahi and Salmon Bomb. Great names because they were bombs! 3. Select Loaded Options aka toppings! I like that you pick a style which includes a set of toppings, instead of selecting the toppings individually. I bet that saves a lot of time. We both got the Delilah's Style which has seaweed salad, cucumbers, surimi crab, wonton chips, edamame, mangoes, massago, furikake and unagi sauce. If you like it spicy, I would get the Tropical Style with spicy mayo. Ahi and Salmon were fresh with mild (but tasty) seasoning that's not too much that you can still taste the fish. I absolutely love the wonton chips. This is not the typical wonton chips. Incredibly crunchy and thicker pieces. The toppings are vibrant, fresh and delicious! The portions are generous. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Next time I go back I want to try the sushi wrap and musubis. This is a hidden gem in Davis.

Didn't remind me of steamed buns but more like white bread loaf mildly toasted. Kaya toasted: A This was great, it had pandan kaya with coconut and ice cream to top off a brick toast.

Chicken Cutlet with meat sauce over rice: if we are getting at least two items, this is for sure one of them. Excellent flavor on the peppery batter on the juicy chicken and the meat sauce and pickled veggies are an excellent combination. 3. Zha Jiang Mien: First time trying it. Two of us liked it. May get, again, next time. We usually prefer the blacker Korean style sauce, but this was pretty good, too. 4. Beef roll: think thinly sliced beef with fresh veggies rolled up in an onion pancake. Now, the one thing that they don't do like the old truck used to do is load up with sauce. The old truck used to drown your bowl in sauce whereas now they're a little more conservative, but I imagine you could ask for more if you wanted more. The bowl itself tasted good. It's not going to be the best Halal food that you'll get in Davis or anywhere else in the world, but it tasted nostalgic, and I really enjoyed the whole thing. My husband who is currently on campus more than I am noted that the storefront gives you more food than the food truck at the silo. He also said that the food tasted better here.

The dishes we tried were: - I12 Dan dan noodles: 5/5 super tasty and flavorful, but quite spicy - G2 Sautéed green beans: 5/5 simple but soooooo good! - D1 Griddle cooked fragnant cabbages and pork: 5/5 again pretty simple, but very tasty and well cooked! - E7 Hunan style sauteed beef: 5/5 excellent, so tender and juicy and well seasoned. - I3 Farmhouse stir fried pork with rice noodles: 4/5 very tasty, but the texture of the rice noodles were a bit too slippery for my taste. - E16 Ma Po Tofu: 4/5 the sauce was amazing, but the tofu texture was a bit too soft and strange for me. - G4 Shaoshan stir fried shredded potatoes: 3/5 I didn't have a problem with this, but didn't particularly enjoy them either. Not something to go for again. The potatoes are kind of half way cooked. - C1 Laotan boiled fish with pickled cabbage: 1/5 the fish itself was tasty, but the soup itself was super salty like drinking ocean water!
