Arrived here on a Saturday at roughly 1145AM. Immediately observed quite a few patrons and a good amount of seating and vibrant decor. We were immediately greeted - I ordered a Spicy tuna wrap to go. Surprisingly, the order came out within 5 minutes which was appreciated. Gave me a chance to take a few bites prior to an event I was attending at 12PM. MAN it was delicious! The portions are well worth the price. It was so good, I plan to go out of my way and grab another in a week or two. I'm sold. Ya'll need to open one up in the Roseville area - I'll be a regular! Thanks!
Food: 9/10 Service:10/10 Ambiance: 7.5/10 The sushirito is the reason I came here and it did not disappoint. The person helping me substituted everything I wanted and personalized the sushi burrito exactly how I wanted. So much flavor! Loved the wasabi and ginger on the side too.
I got the 4 Flavors family meal for like $52. You get 4 different poke choices at 1/4 lb each. My favorites were the salmon bomb and furikake bomb ahi. It fed my family of 4. This place is the closest thing to real Hawaiian poke. Service was fast. The worker gave us good recommendations since it was our first time. Location is good and parking wasn't too tough to find on the street. The store had plenty of seating. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Davis.
Stopped here for a quick lunch while my pup was at the vet. I ordered a Poke bowl, with half traditional ahi and half spicy ahi, "Kali style". The fish tasted fresh, and the flavors of the "Kali style" complimented each other well. I especially liked the flavor from the wonton chips, which added a nice crunch and were fun to eat with the poke on top. The cucumbers, however, were a miss for me. The flavors didn't quite work with the rest of the bowl, and I would have much prefered fresh cucumbers. Overall it was a satisfying meal with a decent portion for the price.
Poke was really fresh and the portions were very generous. This would be one of the better quick grab poke restaurants around the area. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars was because poke was just regular and nothing that stood out. But I would definitely recommend this place if you want some poke.
I dined in with a party of 7 on a Saturday afternoon and it was filled with patrons, which is a great sign to me. The staff greeted everyone who entered the store. They were extremely kind and helpful with our large order. We didn't wait long for our food to come out. Clean restaurant with large dining tables and high top tables. The line area does get a bit congested, especially if you're using the fountain soda machine. If you're waiting on your to go order, and there are no free tables, you're kind of just standing around trying not to get in the way of people walking in/out of the restaurant. I wasn't a fan of the shrimp tempura, but everything else tasted great. We all can't wait to go back to try other menu items and poke flavors.

I also don't remember their poke bowls being so big, but it was a generous amount of food and no shortage of toppings. I really liked the poke that I picked, but my only complaint is the actual cuts of fish had too much of the muscle left. The pieces with those were too chewy. Service was really great though and the food came out super fast. The teriyaki chicken plate was a very generous amount and lasted for two meals for both our kids so I definitely liked that! The prices are still very fair here compared to other poke places so I highly recommend coming here.
One of the best poke spots around! The bowls are huge, packed with fresh ingredients, and definitely worth the price. They don't skimp on the portions, so you leave feeling full and satisfied. Everything tasted fresh, the toppings were plentiful, and the flavors were amazing! The service was great and they were very patient when answering questions. There's lots of seating and plenty of tables to sit with friends.
Friendly service and plenty of tasty options in downtown Davis! Went here for an early Thursday dinner with my husband. We were excited to try it since it had many great reviews and the pictures made the food look delicious. There's street parking around the restaurant. Inside, you stand in line and say your order once you reach the register. They call your name when your order is ready. They had 6 or 7 tables from what I remember with high chair and regular chair options. You can get a cup of water for free. Utensils are on the tables. Here's what we ordered: * Poke bowl with 2 protein choices $14.25 - Note, you can opt to do a small bowl option with 1 choice of protein. You can add toppings for $1 each or pay for their topping combos. We found this poke bowl to not be the best value since no toppings were included in the price of the bowel. My husband was not a huge fan of the fish and said it did not taste like the poke he used to eat growing up in Hawaii. He said it was lacking Hawaiian salt. * Soft shell crab sushi wrap $16.50 - Huge sushi wrap split in two! This was delicious and had a good amount of soft shell crab in it. It tasted like a handheld sushi roll with soft shell crab. I loved it. I ate half in the restaurant and then reheated the other half at home the next day. I enjoyed this a lot and would order this again! I'm giving 4 stars since I don't think the poke bowl is the best value compared to other poke bowl places I've visited, but I loved the sushi wrap and highly recommend it for a filling meal. I plan to come back sometime and try the sashimi sushi wrap, one of the bowls, or the poke nachos.
Poke place with a large variety of fresh fish options and very deliciously marinated. Their ordering method is a little different than other poke places. You first choose the size of your bowl, your scoops of fish, and a "style". The style includes a certain amount of toppings and sauces that you definitely want to add to your bowl. They also have wonton chips which I feel is a little more unique. Very large portion sizes and delicious ingredients. Employees are also all very nice, friendly, and patient. Definitely worth a 2 hour drive to!
We have been wanting to try this place after scoping out all the good eats in the area. My daughter will be attending Davis so have been exploring the area. This cute little gem did not disappoint! The poke was fresh and was reminiscent of Hawaii. My daughter got the poke bowl with 2 types of ahi, I got a zesty salmon burrito, hubs got the chicken teriyaki bowl. After a few minutes our food was ready. Staff were friendly and helpful offering samples. The portions were so generous and prices were very reasonable. For 3 meals and 3 drinks it came up to about $50. Food was filling, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend if craving fresh poke. We met Monica the owner. She was so sweet and friendly, made us feel at home. Please support this family business, truly a gem and we will definitely be back again.
So one thing that should be clear is this is not a "build your own" poke place like other local traditional offerings. I did not know this going in. For $15 you get a bowl of JUST rice and fish with additional upgrades available for an additional cost but no customization. The service was great but my bowl was severely lacking for the cost and it wasn't super clear at the counter this was the case. I had thought I would order and receive the option to add on to my bowl. For $5+ more you can select options that get closer to a poke bowl with topping and add ons. (I noticed at the end of my meal a small white board to the left noting that you can customize for an additional $1 per topping and sauces but this was never mentioned at the register) The fish was okay (spicy salmon) with flavoring and green onion but the rice was hard and crunchy, from I'm assuming sitting out too long or in the rice cooker for extended period of time.
Solid spot. I would rate it the best in sac county personally. Honest rating is a 7.9/10 for flavor and overall if comparing it to Hawaii. Cant get better Hawaiian style tho in this area so 5/5 stars for it being the best. Workers are super nice and friendly. Probably college kids but yeah they give samples and good recommendations. You can do add ons for toppings but I just like it with the marinade over rice personally. Maybe add green onions or seaweed I've been back once since when I was around Davis and would come back
My son have been raving about this Poke spot. He said it's just as good as the poke we had in Hawaii. I have to agree! We came on a Sunday around lunch time. The place was pretty busy with tables mostly occupied. We were ordering to go and the wait was about 10 minutes or so. We both got the poke bowl and these are the steps. 1. Select a base - Sushi rice, Brown rice or Spring mix salad. 2. Select 2 flavors. There are about 12 options of Ahi, Salmon and Shrimp. It was my first time and I always like to go with their recommendations, which is Furikake Bomb Ahi and Salmon Bomb. Great names because they were bombs! 3. Select Loaded Options aka toppings! I like that you pick a style which includes a set of toppings, instead of selecting the toppings individually. I bet that saves a lot of time. We both got the Delilah's Style which has seaweed salad, cucumbers, surimi crab, wonton chips, edamame, mangoes, massago, furikake and unagi sauce. If you like it spicy, I would get the Tropical Style with spicy mayo. Ahi and Salmon were fresh with mild (but tasty) seasoning that's not too much that you can still taste the fish. I absolutely love the wonton chips. This is not the typical wonton chips. Incredibly crunchy and thicker pieces. The toppings are vibrant, fresh and delicious! The portions are generous. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Next time I go back I want to try the sushi wrap and musubis. This is a hidden gem in Davis. read more
Poke, poke, poke, I love me some Hawaiian deli style poke! This is the only spot I know of in Northern California that serves it deli style. I got the traditional poke and the sweet and spicy poke. Service was very sweet and efficient too, they were patient with me with all the questions I had. Next time I am in Davis, I will definitely be back! read more
What feels like a local mom and pop shop serves quality poke bowls. Being that it's in the middle of farm land has you question if the poke is gonna be good and it surprisingly is. Not your super traditional Hawaiian poke but definitely combines familiar flavors but also includes some Asian fusion. The bowls are massive. The wife and I split one and is plenty of food for two. We picked a poke bowl with two flavors and choose a "loaded option". The "loaded options" are preset toppings at a fixed price. We choose the tropical style, which includes: seaweed salad, cucumbers, surimi crab (imitation), wonton chips, avocado, masago, furikake, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. The two poke flavors we choose was the spicy salmon (spicy mayo) and furikake bomb ahi (think sesame oil ish based). Overall great food. Staff is friendly and helpful. It comes out fast. Interior is very modest and is a pick up and quick eat spot. Exactly what you come here for. They also have other things on the menu like musubis, sashimi's, fried dishes, to try. If we're ever back in the area we'll make sure to stop by. read more

Love how big each piece of fish was and they were fresh. Amazing flavors. I got two proteins (and I'm not good with spicy but not completely weak) and the fish/shrimp wasn't too spicy. However, the sauce definitely had a kick and my rice was spicy because of it. Definitely want to go back and try out more flavors. Good Friends, you will always be famous !!! Good Friends is my absolute favorite spot for poke in Davis/Sacramento because of their portion sizes and fish quality. I always order the tropical style which comes with avocado and wonton chips. This place doesn't offer as much customization as other places, but there are 4 different topping styles to choose from. My favorite fish to order has to be the furikake bomb ahi and spicy salmon but you can't go wrong with any of the options. I believe you're able to sample the fish as well. The service is great and the food doesn't take long to come out after ordering. I always leave with leftovers because of how big the portions are. read more

Fresh large-cut fish, generous size (can share one for two people), not overly complicated menu, well seasoned, and delicious! The wonton chips are the best! I've walked by this place so many times before, and now I'm wondering why I never bothered to actually try it! I came after work on a weekday, and the line wasn't very long. The menu is simple and straightforward, yet offers a good variety of different flavors of salmon and tuna. I tried both the spicy salmon + spicy ahi poke bowl and zesty salmon sushi wrap and was pleasantly surprised with both. Great value for the price and very filling! Can't wait to try the other flavors next time -- this might just be my new go-to place for a quick poke meal! read more

Stopped by today after my class, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. Parking can be a little tricky, as expected with this city lol. I ordered Poke Nachos, a Poke Bowl-- Delilah style, and a Triple Sashimi Sushi Wrap. In total, after tip, it was about $65. I think it's comparable to other places. My sister and her girlfriend enjoyed their food, they said they wish it was more seasoned, but they would come back. I had the sushi wrap and I LOVE it so much I'm already drooling about the next time. It was tuna, salmon, and albacore sashimi. The wrap was filled with so much, I was actually very surprised. For $17, absolutely worth it! The ladies at the counter were very kind and helpful. Our order was ready in less than ten minutes, which was so convenient. It was pretty busy inside, probably because I came during the lunch hour but a great place to grab a bite to eat in-between classes! read more
I love this poke place! There's always many college students and residents of the city enjoying this place in downtown Davis. On a weekend evening, I grabbed some poke to-go, as almost all the seats were taken, and people were actively coming in and out. I tried two poke flavors: Furikake Bomb Ahi and Salmon Bomb. Each additional topping is not included in the original price, and so I added some toppings including seaweed salad on top. The salmon bomb was also rich, smooth, and nicely balanced with the seaweed salad. The ahi was fresh and buttery, with the furikake adding a nice salty crunch that brought the bowl together. Portion sizes were generous for the price. This is a reliable spot for poke in the area that's flavorful and has delicious sashimi! read more
My favorite favorite favorite poke spot everrrrrr!!!!!!! Literally nothing compares when it comes to the freshness of the fish, the flavors, and the toppings. Workers are always super nice and do not skimp on the fish. Quality is always consistent and I have eaten here many times. My favorite are the furikake ahi and salmon bomb combined with the delilah style. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food that you get. Plenty of seating as well to sit down and enjoy your meal with friends. Can't recommend it enough! read more
*** Vegetarian Review *** Located 1 block off Russell Blvd in Davis, this place offers some great vegetarian options for a poke spot. The environment is fun and the staff absolutely live up to the restaurant name. Sidenote - going there during the colder months, they do not skimp on the restaurant heat. It's like you just came off the slopes and walked into a ski lodge for some hot cocoa by the fire. So appreciated and I wish all restaurants would take their lead. Would I Come Back? Heck yeah. 2 for 2 on the bowls. Fully enjoyed my experience here. Four Tips for first timers: 1. Be prepared to customize. They have a variety of bases, mix-ins, and sauces, so don't be shy about building your perfect bowl from the ground up. They don't charge if you want both unagi and spicy mayo. I like to order the teriyaki sauce on the side and they give you a generous amount (see photo). 2. Parking is free for 3 hours (8a-6p, Mon-Fri) in the nearby parking garage. Two hours free (8a-6p, Mon-Sat) on the street. Since it's not in the crowded downtown core, there is typically hassle-free street parking, making it a perfect grab-and-go lunch spot or park-and-wait dinner spot. After those stated hours, there are no parking limitations. The garage is free all day on the weekends and Holidays. Street parking Sunday and Holidays. 3. Try the tofu! As a vegetarian, I can confirm their preparation is top-notch--it's soft inside, but the batter they use once it's fried is awesome! It's a similar outter crunch to how Quickly makes their tofu, but this is so much better. To keep it crunchy, do your best to eat in. And if you eat in, use the lid from the container to place all your tofu and crispy wontons there to keep it nice and crunchy and preserve that texture. I have taken this to-go - live about 8-10 minutes away and the tofu loses about 70% of it's texture. Still very good, but not like eating there. 4. You get to choose your base for the bowls. Sushi rice, brown rice, or spring mix. I've had them all and find that it's way too much rice for one sitting. So, the perfect balance is half the rice of your choice and half spring mix. Teriyaki Broccoli Tofu Bowl ($14.50, Grade A): This hits the spot with a savory, sweet teriyaki glaze. The tofu is truly the star - I can't talk about it enough. Perfectly steamed broccoli. Mango Avocado Bowl ($14.95, Add tofu for $1, Grade A+): Island life in a bowl. Creamy avocado and sweet, diced mango. Seaweed salad, handful of edamame (that's a lot), and pickled cucumber. For texture they top top the remaining space of the bowl with wonton chips and the drizzle everhing with unagi and spicy mayo sauce. Again, spend the buck for the 3 rectangles of fried tofu. I haven't asked, but I wonder if for an extra buck, I could add another 3 pieces to the bowl. Next time ... I tend to eat fairly fast, but this bowl takes time. So many ingredients to pick through and each one compliments the other for a satisfying and balanced meal. This dish gets my full recommendation Bottom line. The ingredients are ridiculously fresh, the service is fast and friendly, and everything is priced exactly right for the quality and portion size. If I were to guess, my mango bowl weighs about 2 pounds. Great place to bring visitors to show off the town. read more
Great poke with even better prices! Lots of seating inside with a few tables and high stools. Easy to order at the counter and they'll call your name when it's ready. You can get two flavors of fish in your bowl for $13.95. The two scoops are as big as some of the large/4 scoops in other Bay Area poke spots for a fraction of the price. The fish is also great and not fishy at all. I preferred the salmon bomb and spicy salmon over the bomb ahi and spicy ahi, but you can't go wrong with either one. I do like how they have pre-loaded options to choose from so you don't have to pick out each topping yourself. read more

Poke Bowl Traditional Salmon, California Salmon Loaded Delilah's Style -- delicious and fresh salmon accompanied by fresh sweet mangoes and wonton chips and delicious unagi sauce. Good friends is still my favorite poke spot in NorCal to this day! I live 30-40 minutes depending on traffic from Davis and would drive there just for Good Friends. The portions are huge and the food never disappoints. One bowl is enough for two, even three meals. They give you a huge portion of fish. I personally like the spicy ahi, but the oyster ahi is a second favorite. They also let you sample so don't be afraid to ask. Service is also nice and friendly. They have plenty of tables. Parking is a bit hard to find sometimes as there is only street parking. read more

I am craving their sushi burrito, it was made to perfection, I can't wait until I am in the area again to come back here. This location has plenty of seatings and it looks like a good spot to meet up with friends and/or study. The service was quick. I am not from Davis area. When I went there, UC Davis just had their graduation so there was lots of people. Despite how busy it was there was great service from everyone and you can sample the poke. The food was great and I would come more often if I was in the area. The space was clean and roomy when it's not too busy. Not much to say besides the food and customer service was awesome! read more
Getting good friends poke is now a tradition with every visit to Davis. I love how fresh the fish is and their portion sizes. It definitely satisfies my cravings every time and leaves me wanting more! I got a tropical style poke bowl with traditional salmon, and salmon bomb. I also substituted the seaweed salad for more of their pickled cucumbers. My brother requested the same and got Delilah's style toppings. He also asked for an extra scoop of salmon and the employee was nice to ask if he wants it in a little container, which he did. They have plenty of utensils available for customers to grab and go inside the restaurant. The poke bowls can use a little more sauce and seasoning sometimes, so I would mix in my own siracha, kewpie mayo, and a small spoonful of soy sauce to make it perfect! read more

Best poke burrito I've had in a long time. The service was great, plenty of seating area and clean restroom. The triple sashimi was super fresh and the albacore was a standout. It's so flavorful you don't even need much sauce. Just a heads-up to wasabi lovers the sides are small, so grab an extra one or two. Can't wait to come back and try more items! read more

The Hawaiian Spicy Chicken is their spiciest offering for chicken. It's not very hot though, it has some good kick to it though. Maybe they'll make it hotter for you though, just ask
