This Chevron is the best on your Grapevine route. Located off the Frazier Park exit, the nicest man in the world, Albert, runs the register. The bathrooms are so ridiculously clean that you could move in with a cot and a hot plate and live there. Gas prices are market rate and fair. Plenty of good snacks and drinks. I paid for a car wash here and the machine was broken. Instead of refunding my purchase, the store refused and would not even give me a credit to use at a future date. There was no sign indicating the car wash was out of service. I had to have my bank refund the purchase due to the gas station's fraud. Chevron with Techron. This is one of our pit stops along the 5 whether heading south towads L.A., Anaheim, San Diego or heading back up north. I usually gauge my gas depending on where our starting point is and this location always seems to be the perfect spot to fill up. And for a Chevron, which is usually more on the expenisve side, the price is reasonable. There's a Subway store inside in case anyone in your group is hungry and the restroom is decently clean. If you don't like Subway, there are other fast food joints in the area to choose from. It's on the side of the mountain so it can get pretty cold during the winter and blistery hot during the summer. Location wise, it's convenient either going south-bound or north-bound. You just have to be careful of the CHP vehicles hiding around this stretch of the 5. read more

They've switched locations; just across the street. Old location now has another gas station. This Chevron gas station is new. A lot more space between the gas dispensers compared to the old location. My pit stop everytime I pass the grapevine: going outside of LA or coming back; conveniently located close to a rest stop as well if you need to take a nap. The Extra Mile convenience store is new: no more fast dood restaurant attached but they have plenty of options for food (junk food). The hotdogs are actually pretty good; try the jalapeño cheddar hotdog (good with tons of relish on mine). Condiments available next to the hotdogs: ketchup, mustard, relish, etc. They also have a coffee section where you can make coffe to your liking: machine for flavor shots, the coffee machine itself, and a machine for the different flavored creamers. Not bad for a Chevron...I do get my gas here a lot when driving to Northern California. You would think that a Chevron gas station in the middle of the Grapevine on I-5 at the summit would be super expensive but most of the time I fill up here it is the same price as my local Chevrons in Ventura County. The store inside is a little on the trashy side and somewhat run down so that is why this location only gets three stars but as I always say I do not go to a gas station for the stuff inside...I go there to fill up my car. There is a Subway inside this location as well. For some odd reason I have never had a desire to buy a Subway sandwich at a gas station. If you stop here to get gas and need to use the restrooms just be advised that the women's restroom is just to the right when you walk inside but the men's restroom is all the way on the other right side of the building all the way around through the subway. I guess they want to get you hungry as you walk by to go pee. Marketing today...I swear. :0) read more

On 04/01/2020 Around 4:25pm We stoped here for gas and Went in to buy snacks, we heard the guy up front (cashier) scream at a customer.... we got our stuff we needed to purchase and asked if we could get some napkins, they said yes and then he starts scream at us. Be careful, this guy seems to have mental issues. Maybe hiring someone with better personality would be better. He does not know how to deal with customers, might mess with the wrong person one day and get hurt. (Note) there was a female cashier as well and she was very nice and respectful.. they need to hire more people like her. read more

This place sucks. I have had to gas up at this location on numerous occasions. The last time I went to the Shell station just across the street. They would not let me use my Shell gas card for some absurd reason. So I came here and walked inside. I grabbed a soda and some chips and asked the attendant to put the food on my Chevron gas card and let me fill up my tank. SURPRISE SURPISE, they won't let me do it. (*sarcasm) So they guy says the same thing crap everyone says these days. He wants me to give him a dollar amount rather than turn the pump on. Obviously I hate doing this but I would rather do this than put two separate charges on the card. The pump ends up not working. Now the guy says that I am not going to be charged for the $50 in gas and I can just take my food and pay at the pump. So NOW I get to fill my tank but I get charged twice once for the food and once for the gas. The one thing I was really trying to avoid! The one good thing I can say about this place is that they did let me gas up. Which might not seem like much but it is more than I can say for the stupid shell station across the street. Because of this I gave 2 stars, but that's the only reason. My advice to travelers is to just avoid Lebec all together. Stop in Gorman or the big truck stop by the grape vine. I avoid this whole area like the plague. read more

Absolutely HORRIFIC Restrooms! Seriously, on the 2000 mile trip that I took, I didn't find any worse. There were flies, and a smell that I would rather not describe (gag). It seriously looked liked they hadn't been cleaned in months. Luckily they had soap and paper towels. The good point was that I was able to get a good subway sandwich, and I saw that the young man washed his hands before touching any of the food - that reassured me that he wasn't relying on washing his hands in the restroom. That was all that was etched in my mind as I waited for my sandwich. The Jack in the Box nearby has cleaner restrooms. That is where I instructed my wife and kids to stop - there was no chance that I was letting them into this chevron. read more

I came here last night and the price of premium gas was clearly posted as $4.09. When I started filling up, however, the pump showed 4.19 a gallon. When I went inside and brought this to the employees attention, she said that one was a cash prize and one was a credit card price. First of all, that is not stated on the gigantic marquee Chevron sign that says $4.09. This is a classic bait and switch. If I wanted a cash prize, I would go to that Arco next-door. On a scale of 1-10 for scariest bathrooms, this gets a 9. It reinforced every fear I have of public restrooms. I was tempted to give in to my asian heritage and stand on the toilet seat to pee. Yea, it's THAT kind of bathroom. When I was done, I washed my hands with cold water...no soap to be found. Almost drove around the corner and put a quarter in the water/air machine to wash the bottom of my shoes off. I won't be coming back here, that's for sure. read more

This place is as expected. The pump worked as you would expect it to with a pay at the pump feature. There were plenty of pumps and some were open. The place was clean enough and not an issue. It's a gas station so can't expect it to be pristine. The gas price was typically California expensive but not their fault. I really had a nondescript experience. Everything went as expected.
