They left me alone to disgorge my car to access the tires and supplies, PATCH my tire (requiring multiole refills) and water ( w my soap and brush) to locate the leak! Cleanness and food aside, I have over the last 3 years had to call Safeway too many times to count and get points back because the pump locks up at 1.6 gals. It stops and you can not start it again without a reset, new payment and start all over. Start all over?, but I was on my last 20 cents off per gallon. Staff cant do a thing to give you your Safeway points back either. Called Safeway today to get my points back, they looked at the track record of this problem and will be contacting this station about this problem. They are partners in the Gas rewards. Propane refill- Went in to have my propane tank filled and was told to come back in 15 minutes because that was when an employee would be back from lunch. I came back in exactly 15 minutes and was told by the employee that was originally on lunch that the other employee took her lunch and no one could help me for 2 hours! Super irritating! Although thus location is clean and the food is pretty okay although it is over-priced, the CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE when we tried to buy propane. We were told that we needed to come back in 15 minutes because the extra attendant was on break. So we went and ran an errand and came back a little while later ... And now we were told the other guy was leaving on break. So we cruised another 15 minutes then came back again. We told the attendants we were there and then waited outside for another 10 minutes but no one ever came out to help us. At this point it had now been over an hour now and we had come back three times! We decided we would try the next town over but I went in to get a business card so I could call the manager and/or owner. At this point, I actually heard the cashier complaining to another customer that they had been busy and some guy kept bugging them to buy propane? Really?! I stepped in and told the cashier they had the worst customer service, took his name and asked for the manager/owners number. I left a message for the manager but haven't heard anything back. I recommend everyone go down to the Chevron at Giuntoli Lane in Arcata instead ... They filled our propane tank in minutes and were polite ... and I'm sure I can find another average tasting $9 burrito somewhere else! read more
