This Chevron lost my buisness. Filled up my car, spent $100 plus bought a $12 car wash. The car wash was great until the end, the dryer didnt work. Fine, not the end of the world. Walked inside hoping they'd let me run my car dripping car through. No, not without paying more? The attendant was trying to charge me $5! He saw my car was wet and my receipt. Wtf! Go across the street to ARCO for gas and car wash, they are super cool cats and know how to run buisness. read more

If you're traveling and need to use the restroom I would stop here. We stopped here both coming and going. Restrooms were clean both times. Attendants were friendly enough. The gas, drinks, and things were a bit expensive. read more

Just a horrible place. If you run out of air, the attendant will not turn it on for you unless you spend $15.00. This has station hires employees that are heartless to stranded people who lost their wallets and phones. Get ready to be embarrassed and call the police for air. I beg of you to not stop on by. Most likely, the gas attendant scams and rigs the pumps because there is no sense of civilization with these people. read more

Nice location just off the freeway. The surroundings were clean and well-maintained. Prices were comparable to others in the area. Shopping centers are nearby. Good place to stop to re-fuel and stretch the legs and use the restrooms. read more

Chevron - The Front - Gas Stations Near Me - Newbury Park, California

I stopped here last week when my gas-light was on and pulled up to a pump. I was sort of surprised by the price (it looked very high at $4.79) but I needed gas so I swiped my card etc. Well, it gave me an error or something and didn't want to work so I got back in my car and drove over the freeway to a competing gas station and paid $3.29 there! $1.50 less per gallon! WTF? Seriously, Chevron. I see several people who have reviewed this station with the same complaint. I hadn't come here for gas before and it looks like I won't be coming back. Wow, great chevron. Beautiful roses flank the grounds, the restrooms are clean & smell good, and the men working there are friendly, courteous, and bilingual (at least). Best stop on the 101! Carwash too. Yes this review is serious -- these guys actually take pride in their little Chevron and their gardening skillz are to be envied. read more

I have a mixed review here. I am going to stay at one star, more later. In short the station is great, they are a top notch facility. Lots of choices, fully stocked, car wash, etc... Well kept and very clean. Why the one star you might ask? Well, I work and live nearby; I am offended to see someone take advantage of people - on average their gas is $1.00~$2.00 per gallon more then the all other local gas stations (probably the state too). At random moments they go to normal and competitive pricing, but that generally only lasts a day or two. Do yourself a favor, cross over the freeway and there you will embark on normal fueling prices!!! It's less then 100 yards away. read more

Aside from the crazy gas prices being 20 to 30 cents more than other nearby gas stations, the convenience store was clean and organized. Even had great Halloween decorations at the front area of the store and bathroom. Cashier was very nice and friendly, too. read more

If you're looking for a great little rest stop off the 101 North then exit Wendy drive, but if you're looking for descent gas prices, definitely exit Borchard as you will have a broader selection for gas brands and prices. But aside from the high gas prices, this gas station has tons of snacks and clean facilities. In addition, has a "working" air/water station. If you happen to need a car wash and vacuum it is available as well. Overall, good gas station. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! Stopped here for gas only cause I needed it before heading down the grade to go home BIG MISTAKE! I proceed to fill up and the thing notified me it was full. I then proceed to get in my car and who guessed that my tank wasn't even FULL! I go inside and ask the manager and he try's to give me the run around! Get in my car half filled pull on the freeway not even two minutes on the road and my bank notified me of FRAUD!!!! They tried to get $100 from me but good thing I asked for my receipt!!!!!!! This station is nice enough, but watch out for the prices! Today I went to the Chevron on Borchard, and they were $3.79/gallon. I then drove past this station, and they were $4.49/gallon!! With the Borchard Chevron being less than a mile away, why would you buy your gas here? read more

The gas station is dirty and the staff is disrespectful. Go across the bridge to the other stations. The gas station across the street will help you in a more respectful manner. Do not go to this Chevron because they charge .25 cents for matches if you do not buy cigarettes from them. Watch out for their gas prices! Usually 75 cents to a dollar or more expensive on each grade of gas than other nearby stations. I think that they try to catch out of area travelers off guard with no other station within eyesight. Do not assume that they offer a fair and competitive cost just because it's a Chevron station. I'm embarrassed for them and hope that there little scam is exposed. Chevron should not allow this to happen at one of their stations. read more

If I could pick no stars I would. I stopped by there to get gas because my tire was low and I was on my way to Home Depot. I just needed air and asked my wife to go in and ask for them to turn it on. She asked the attendant Lalo and Rosie to turn it on and Lalo said it was $0.75, he didn't offer to tell her the air is free due to CA state law with fuel up or a purchase of ANYTHING at the store. He just told her it was $0.75, which she relayed to him that she had no exact change. She asked for his night managers name...he said she wasn't there and refused to give it. ridiculous. So, I got the store manager's name Mariela Chavez. They really need to train their employees to know the law and ASSIST customers. read more

This Chevron has the best mini market of the three gas station on the Wendy off-ramp, but be wary of gas prices. They manipulate them day to day to catch you unaware. They can routinely be about $0.70 more per gallon than the stations on the other side of the freeway. Today they were priced at $4.69/gal for regular. The 76 station was $3.99. That's more than 10 bucks extra to fill your tank! Their 91 octane is usually about $0.20 more per gallon as well. Tomorrow they may have the same price as the other stations. They have their entire shop decked out in Halloween decorations, including the bathrooms, floor to ceiling, wall to wall! SUPER nice people. Never left a review for a gas station before, but I stopped here to get gas and munchies for a long drive and these people and their festiveness totally made my day. read more

This gas station is a joke! $1.10/gal more than gas station less than a mile down the road (both right off fwy). Two stations across fwy are $1.00 less a gal. I understand price off fwy should be more both this is ridiculous. I live in Newbury Park for 20 years and I will not spend one .01 at this place again. These people are crooks. They set the price @ $4.69 ($1 above the other gas stations)! Unsuspecting motorist will check the sub dollar portion of the price and drive in and fill up. This is my first one star review. Do not pay for a car wash here! Not only does the car wash not work and clean your car fully, but when you come out of the car wash and your tires, windows, and sides of the car have still splotches and stains and it doesn't even look like you even went through a car wash, you go to the owners/manager and they actually said they remembered me and said that I asked for a free car wash. This was my first visit to this Chevron station/car wash and Newbury park. so I know they didn't know me and I was in absolute shock that they would accuse me of that so I I have to believe that this is been a problem that has been brought up in the past with other customers. They actually argued with me and all I asked for very politely wants to go through the car wash again. But either way to look at the car and saw all the spots and stains and dirty wheels etc. and argued with me that I would have to pay for another car wash. I have never been in such shock before that someone would argue that that's the way it is at a car wash and just suck it up. I stay cool and calm and I told him I wanted a refund because I had to go somewhere else to get my car washed. It took all that to get them to finally let me go through the car wash one more time.The integrity and honesty in my opinion is negative stars at this location.
