The sandwiches are much better than I expected, especially from a liquor store. I ordered a double roast beef with added bacon. They use Agostino Bakery rolls, which are also used by Dan's Super Subs in Woodland Hills. The bread is soft, and it was cold (refrigerated), so 0.5 points off for that (Dan's steams their rolls). The sandwich was assembled with skill, and I also ordered a side macaroni salad. Again, quite good. Wow, sorry to say I've been driving by this market for 10 years and never thought to step inside. I assumed it was just a liquor store and when I had seen signs that they had a deli I felt unsure. Finally over the weekend I was looking for a meal that wouldn't break the bank and was close to home. Wanted to try something new and these guys popped up on my door dash. I figured it was worth a try and I always want to support local, especially a little independent market like themselves. I can't rate my overall customer service and ambiance experience as I didn't go in but I can acknowledge that my order was made super quickly and got to me correctly and clearly made with love. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is simple. It's a market store sandwich. It was definitely a good easy spot to grab a bite but people claiming these to be some of the best sandwiches around? I think they need to get out more...lol. I would say for a market casual sandwich I was super happy with the quality and portions. These sandwiches are exactly what you would expect them to be and I was impressed given that I didn't know much about this place. If I had to recommend a sandwich definitely go with the Tuna Sandwich as so many had written about. It was really good! The bread was perfectly soft, the tuna flavorful, and I appreciate that when you ask for mayo they dress the sandwich nicely, I'm a saucy girl. Overall it was a good sandwich for sure. My only upgrade is to pay to add extra tuna, the bread is so bouncy and soft but thick that the tuna kinda gets lost in the bread. The portion size was still plenty generous, but next time I'll pay to add double. Would have made it perfect. Definitely get this sandwich if you come, it was done right. I'm happy to say I tried the gyro. It hit the spot but I also wouldn't necessarily get it again. The highlights were that the bread was soft and they loaded this gyro with meat, much appreciated! The meat tasted fine enough but I've had better gyro meat around town. Also I do agree the sauce just wasn't for me, a little too thick and not the traditional cucumber yogurt sauce that I normally like with a gyro. Some will not mind this, I am just particular about my gyros. Again, the portions though were super impressive. All in all for a small deli market, this place has solid sandwiches and are worth checking out if you're in the area and wanting to support local. read more

Just finished up giving my dog the micro portion of meat from a $10.00 Pastrami sandwich that wasn't fit to eat, my dog even hesitated. the very thin sliced meat was horrific and buried with paper thin slices of onion, tomatoes and a mere hint of shredded lettuce. They are very generous with 2" half stale sesame seed bread that's as dry as a popcorn fart. Based on other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one disappointed. Alas, I place my order and it's ready when I arrive. I was excited to unwrap the "beast" of a gyro upon my return to the office, but alas, was a bit disappointed. The Gyro had an abundance of veggies and yogurt sauce, and the gyro meat was cut thicker than usual, but unfortunately it wasn't packed. It was mostly veggies and the sauce, so the meat was lacking. Came in on a Sunday, had to wait about 5 minutes until the cashier told the girl behind the counter to take our order. She was slicing up tomatoes and seemed new. Ordered a large club to share with my wife. Pretty simple order: everything except no pickles on one half and no mustard on the other. Did well on the mustard but forgot the pickles. All in all, once our order was taken they were attentive. The lady in charge (cashier) was very nice. The sandwich was alright. The portions were generous and the beer selection was good. Wow a hidden gem! Would not have known this deli existed if I hadn't gone in, I'm very glad I did. The deli is inside a little market/liquor store. I came around lunchtime and there were a lot of people ordering sandwiches/lunch. They take your order and in a few minutes you have your lunch. They work fast and efficiently and once you've gone once you pretty much get the hang of the process. The selection isn't big, all the usual things are on the menu, turkey, tuna, etc. but the real standout is the Gyro. Wow wow wow. It was so good that I almost wanted to order another as soon as I was finished. The owner of the deli is a very nice man named Hazem. He has great pride for his store and seems to know his customer quite well. When I spoke to him he had informed me that they had just opened a location at the Pacific View Mall and invited me to try it out. I stopped by but didn't order anything at the time but when I do I'll make sure to leave a review, and if it's anything close to what I had here at Woodside then they've got a customer for life!
