Costco is usually a pleasant experience. I mean how bad can it really be right? You go in, grab your stuff at a great price, pay and leave. So what makes the difference between a good and bad experience? The employees! We had the pleasure and displeasure of getting checked out by Brian and Sam. As I was placing the items on the belt, one item accidentally hit Brian's hand as it toppled onto his side and he gave me the dirtiest look ever! Like dude, relax and don't be such a dick! Sam on the other hand was so pleasant! He was playing with the kids, helped us put our stuff on the belt and was courteous and friendly the whole time. It doesn't stop there! We ordered a half and half pizza before going in, they said, "it'll be ready in 20 minutes" so we think ok, it'll be ready by the time we come out. WRONG! We finish our shopping, head to the food court, yet I'm met with another asshole with an attitude who says "it'll be ready in 20 ..." like WHAT?! So then I asked him to give me whatever is ready and then comes another dirty look acting like I'm asking him to reinvent the wheel! I've been to this Costco many times and this has been the worst experience so far! What did you guys do to your employees today, @Costco?!? read more

So, pretty much everybody knows...The hot dogs are a delicious treat for a great price! I believe the average price for me, over the last 20 years, has been about $186. Perhaps, there will be a day when I can just go to get one hotdog and a coke for $1.50; that is if I don't get sucked into the warehouses front door!! read more

The deal on the hot with a drink is amazing. You cannot get a cheaper deal on that. The price on a slice of their big pieces pizza or a whole pizza box is also great. You're just limited on the toppings because it's only cheese or pepperoni now. This Costco hasn't changed to Coke yet so it's still Pepsi here. The customer service is great especially now that you can come during the executive hour so it's less busy. read more

A first time to this Costco after our son and daughter-in-law recently moved into their Simi Valley home nearby. A convenient stop when we need a Costco visit while in the neighborhood. This is by far the worst Costco food court in Ventura County. After this experience, I will not be ordering pizza from here again. Bear with me, it's long. To start, they rarely answer the phone. It took me six calls just to get through and place my order. I finally placed a half-and-half pizza order at 5:55 PM and was told it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. That seemed reasonable, so I went shopping while I waited. At 6:30 PM, I got in line and showed my receipt and name for the order. I was told it would be another 10 minutes. I waited by the pickup window, and after those 10 minutes passed, I showed another clerk my receipt. He then told me it would be five more minutes. At this point, I was already getting frustrated. While I was still waiting at the window, another customer came and stood next to me. A clerk came out with a half-and-half pizza, looked at her, and said, "Half and half, right?" She replied, "Yes! That was fast," grabbed the pizza, and walked away. I immediately told the clerk, "I think that was actually my pizza that you just gave away." He looked embarrassed, went to the back, picked up an unbaked pizza, and put it in the oven. He then told me, "Sorry, I just had to put a fresh one in. It'll be six quick minutes." I reminded him that at that point I had already been waiting about 50 minutes. He apologized and said to wait there and that he would call my name when it was ready. However, he kept my receipt and told me it was fine because he had thrown it away and would just call my name instead. Six minutes passed--nothing. Then another five minutes went by. By this point, the clerk who had been helping me seemed to have disappeared, along with the other employees working the window. Eventually, someone came over and asked what I was waiting for. I explained the entire situation, and he asked for my receipt. When I told him one of the clerks had taken it, he looked confused. I also mentioned that I had now been waiting over an hour for this pizza. He simply placed the pizza on the counter and said, "Okay, here you go." There was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation. I understand the pizza is only $10, but the lack of organization, communication, and basic customer service made this experience incredibly frustrating. It simply isn't worth the hassle. Costco should do better. read more

Decent Costco , but super busy at times but now costco has quick self check out so there really isn't a line . I left my card in the car once post gas purchase and it was easy having the manager look up my account they did it while i was in the quick check. Since this costco is in Ventura County the liquor prices are much lower as well as the gasoline. Don't bother trying to get gas here if you don't have a physical Costco card on hand. No matter what I tried the digital scanner will not register my account. In order to get the phone at the correct angle and close enough to the scanner it triggers Apple Pay to pop up your wallet and block the barcode, which makes the app completely useless. It's so unreliable I don't even bother trying anymore. And there have never been any attendants out when I've been there to ask about it. read more

It was $3.999 a gal for regular gas, which I think is reasonable for the area. Regardless, I I believe there were 6 lanes with two pumps on each side, so 24 spots! read more

Best time to fuel up here is before they close at 7:30 pm. But, if you have to during earlier hours, You wont wait long. They have 8 lanes I think and if the patrons will have some patience and not jump into the front of the 2nd car to fill, 2 cars can pretty much fill up at the same time. This is one of the most efficient Costco Gas Stations in the Ventura County area. I make it a point to always go when I need to fill up. The prices are always reasonable, and the line goes by relatively quick. It may seem like it is always busy, but I don't think I have waited more than 10 minutes ever. Often they have the side exit to the right (as you're leaving) open in order avoid the crowded Costco parking lot. If you ever need help with any of the pumps, there are always Costco employees walking around to assist you. I have even gone there right as they are about to close, and the attendant will leave the pumps open for an additional few minutes so that customers do not get turned away. If you're ever in the area, it's always a great idea to stop by; just remember your membership card and VISA credit cards, as well as All debit cards are accepted. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge 34 This Costco gas is right off the freeway, making it very accessible whenever I'm in the area. The lines are long, although I've noticed they move quickly. Can't beat the prices here plus, when using the Costco Visa card we get refunds at the the end of the year which is a great perk. Hoses are quite long and reach either side of the car. Can't beat the prices, for sure. Stopped by yesterday while running other errands in the area. They were quite crowded at the lunch hour on a Thursday. They have many gas pumps, so the lines move fairly quickly. Must have Costco card to use the facilities. They now accept VISA credit cards, having ended their long-standing deal with American Express. There's normally an attendant roaming around should anyone need assistance. What's not to like about Costco gasoline....besides the long lines and the 80 year old man in front of you who wants to wait until the person in front of him is finished before he pulls away from the pump. Besides that everyone loves the low price and decent quality petrol. One drawback from this loc is they only have two pumps in each row instead of 3 or 4 at other locations. They're on average 20 to 30 cents cheaper a gallon than the cheapest places and low quality gas stations around anyways. Costco gas is a great place to get a little discount on your gas prices. They are always cheaper than the other local gas station. They do only sell regular and premium gas, so if you are looking for the mid grade, go somewhere else. This station is very nice but gets super busy during peak hours and you will have a long wait. I like to go early in the morning and later in the evening. Try to avoid the gas station on Saturdays as it gets crazy busy! There is usually an attendant around to help you if you are having problems with the pump, and in my experience, they have always been super friendly and helpful. You will need your Costco card and just like inside Costco, they only take American Express or your debit cards. No Visa or Mastercard taken here. read more

Tips: 1) Avoid the weekends like the plague. If you visit on a weekend, you may want a tent and pillow so you can camp out while you wait. 2) Use the far right lane. The one lane feeds into 4 pumps so you will get through quicker. 3) Remember your Costco card. If you don't have it, you're going to have a bad time. (The attendant can probably cut you some slack, but it'll be embarrassing and time consuming.) If you're cost conscious about your gas money (and who isn't with these California prices and taxes?!) Costco Gas is the best bang for your buck. Would be 5 stars but the wait can get pretty annoying. read more

The mid afternoon holiday weekend lines were not outrageous, but a longer wait than a typical gas station.
