This gas station is running a blatantly deceptive pricing scheme and I will absolutely never return. The giant price sign on the street advertises one price for gas, but when you actually pull up to the pump the price suddenly jumps $0.30-$0.40 higher per gallon. That is not a small difference -- that's a deliberate bait-and-switch. Most people notice the street sign while driving and pull in expecting that price, only to find out the real cost once they're already at the pump. When I went inside to ask about it, instead of fixing the issue or even acknowledging the deception, there was just a cheap piece of paper taped inside with the "real" prices listed. So apparently the plan is to advertise one thing outside to lure customers in, then quietly reveal the actual inflated price once you're already there. That's not transparency -- it's a scam. This kind of shady practice completely destroys trust. Gas stations know exactly why those large street signs exist: to show the price customers will pay. If the pump price is different, the street sign should reflect that. Anything else is intentionally misleading. Between the false advertising, the ridiculous price difference, and the dismissive attitude when questioned, this place clearly does not care about honest business practices. Since this location is close to Costco, I find that often times their prices aren't as crazy as other gas stations in the area. So, when I need to fill up and my wife isn't with me to share her Costco card, this is the location I stop at to fill up a few gallons. This location also has a ton of pumps. I've never had to wait for one to open up. That's another great perk. I will say, however, there have been times when I've gotten to a pump only to see the dreaded 'pay inside' alert. But that's never been the case for every pump so I've easily been able to move over to another one (because, let's be honest. I'll run out of gas before I go inside when I have a card with me to buy gas at the pump). read more

I stopped by this Chevron gas station because I was at Northridge Mall picking up my order and had about 20 miles (estimated) left of gas in my car. I wasn't going to fill up all the way but only a little so I can get home and fill up at the 76 near my house that I always go to. I went to pump station #8 and you could barely see the screen because it was scratch up. I tried paying with my credit card but it said to see the cashier inside. I went inside and pay with my card there. The cashier was wearing a mask and his accent was strong so I could barely understand him when he asked me a question. I asked him to repeat what he said and by the third attempt, I finally understood that he was asking me how much I wanted to charge on my card. This is THE FILTHIEST Chevron gas station I have ever experienced. I've been pumping gas here and buying car washes for about four months straight. This place has been consistently disgusting in so many ways. In addition, they are frequently out of many essentials for just pumping gas and getting a car wash. For example, during today's visit, which prompted this review, they were once again out of paper towels at every pump but one. There are twelve pumps at this location. I shouldn't have to go on an Easter Egg Hunt for paper towels. They were also out of receipt paper AGAIN. This means I have to go inside to request my receipt with my car wash code on it. That's not the primary purpose of a convenience store. Besides all that, I've requested the bathroom key three times in four months and every time I have, they reply, "it's out of order" with no apology. That bathroom is likely never available. If a gas station can't provide a bathroom to their regular patrons, why should they spend their money there?!! Last, the station floors where you pump your gas are always beyond filthy. I mean absolutely disgustingly filthy. They look like they haven't been steam cleaned or power washed in a decade. The last time I pumped gas here, I had dried vomit under my feet that was sprayed all over the pump area and nearby safety pole and looked like it had been there for a week. Nothing is appealing about this location. I feel like I need to wear a hazmat suit to pump gas at this place. If the Chevron corporation can't hold their station owners to some reasonable standards, it might be time to abandon loyalty and switch to a company with standards. This place sucks, they say they are open 24 hours and they definitely are not. I understand that some places close their doors and have someone at the window but this specific chevron stops selling beer at 9pm for starters. Stopped here to get gas after my physical therapy appt for dizziness and pulled up to pump 2. Put my card in and my passcode and when it asks if this is a debit card it said to go inside. Finally the man looks up and gives me a look letting me know i am a inconvienience. He walks over and say something I cant understand (no speaker).
