I've only used the express wash, but it is better than the one at a gas station I normally use. For the price of a standard wash, they do a bit of a pre-wash with a big soapy wand, and that seemed to help knock off a lot of dirt. Finally found a drive thru car wash near me. I usually go to wild wash in van Nuys but this place is a Greta substitute. From what I recall, from Tuesday-Thursday they have 1 dollar off specials from their selection of car washes. The line can be long and you'll need to approach the alley via the first mini street if you're going southbound on balboa. You can only form the line facing south in the alleyway. It can be a tight squeeze but it's worth it. They accept credit cards and cash. There is an attendant who will first scrub your car once it's latched onto the conveyer thingy. I always tip 1-2 dollars because he's there all day scrubbing cars. They also give a wet wipe for cleaning the interior. Like other reviews have said, the air dryer isn't the best so you should dry your car in the residential area with a cloth that you own. I don't think vacuuming is free like other places read more

The wash attendants are usually friendly. The best way to access the wash is going through the alley way on Balboa between the tire center and what use to be Education Station. There is a line off to the right before driving up to the wash, wait for the attendant to signal before driving up. Tip the attendant for a stronger scrub down. read more

I know there are some car washes out there that will offer a more thorough hand wash for a couple bucks more, but this place is so hassle free and fast. This is a horrible car wash. I bought the top of the line wash package with all the bells and whistles. My car came out soaking wet which resulted in droplets stains. There were neon colored stains where the tri color wax and bright green soap hadnt been rinsed off. And I had these disgusting blue rivulettes runnin under every seam of my car. ( I.e where the doors were under the edge of the good and trunk) etc. So I drove back to talk to the attendant who was especially creepy with his mustache and awkward stares. anyways i asked him to run my car through again even if it was just a rinse. It is a drive through wash so I never go there expecting to get a detailed job done. Oh my god, I do not like being in the car while this is happening but this place does the trick. You just roll on it, tell them what you want, then put your car in neutral and ride the ride. Afterwards, your car is going to be look at least 5 times better. I've only tried the self wash and it's pretty neat. It's $2.50 for every 4mins or $10 for 16mins. There are several hoses that do different things: Tire/engine cleaner, pre-soak, soap, rinse, rainbow foams, sealers, clear coats and air dry. All you have to do is pull up your car to the cleaning area, deposit cash or use a credit card, and start washing. There's a nob which you turn that activates the different stages of cleaning (the nobs corresponding numbers and descriptions are on a poster on the wall). When you're done just hit the stop button. If you want to vacuum your car you have to pull it up to the next slot and it costs $1.25 (coins only!). Also, they have vending machines which you can buy towels (I would bring my own) if you need to dry your car more, air fresheners, armoral, etc. (coins only). The self wash is basically like washing your car in the drive way but with all the things you need provided. Also yes, you may get a little wet. I recommend this to people who like do it yourself things and want to get precise with cleaning. Otherwise, they have an express wash for people who rather do that. read more

This place is just horrible. Very bad customer service! I came here a couple of months ago when my car was brand new and they ended up scratching my windshield (in front of the drivers side). When I tried to speak with the supervisor about it he yelled at me saying it was probably me that did it and I didn't even notice! Obviously my car was brand new and at the time I was checking every inch of it everyday and I would have noticed a scratch in front on my windshield. When I tried to speak with the supervisor they closed the door in my face! As far as everything else, they left soap on my car and there was still dirt on the drivers side of the door. This is my go to car wash because it's cheap and efficient. With the Yelp coupon, you can get a $4 car wash and be on your way. There's an employee that pre-scrubs your vehicle, so that $4 goes a lot farther here than at other drive through washes. Sure, it might not be the best wash and your car probably will not sparkle like Beyonce afterwards, but it works if you just need to get rid of some regular dirt & dust. I didn't notice a significant difference between the basic wash and the more expensive ones, so I'd suggest just going basic and drying off the wet spots with your own towel. Again, don't expect a miraculous wash and be disappointed like some of these pretentious reviewers. The wash is definitely worth it. If you don't like dropping $15-20 and waiting 45mins for a car wash, well this is the place for you. read more
