Open 24 hours conveniently located on Lake Ave south of the 210 freeway and north of Colorado blvd. It's definitely a life saver when you're running on empty and don't have to travel too far from your nearest exit. Large ample space in between several gas pumps directly underneath a well lit ceiling soffit with bright fluorescent lighting well enough to give you a moon tan LOL. Each island has trashcans, paper towels and squeegee with debit/credit card reader. No mechanical services at this location, only a walk up one person Kiosk structure selling limited items along with a vending machine. Air and water available for a nominal fee but we all know through our gracious state of California, ask for free services and they'll be happy to bypass and activate air compressor and water. Aside from your typical filling station, you do get to park on top of a nice brick weave pattern floor which gives it character with that reminiscent old California Spanish décor you see along Orange Grove and Prospect as you approach Arroyo Seco PKWY 110 south. 3rd party ATM machine if you're seriously seeking fast money. I can't believe I'm reviewing a gas station, but I am. :/ This location is one of the cheapest in the area. Off peak hours, after 9 a.m. and before 4 p.m. during the week, I find, are the best times to go. Nice place to gas up before hitting the freeway. read more

I just tried to add over 8 gallons to my car and my car needle is still at empty. When I expressed my concerns with the employees they started laughing and said this had never happened. I told them it had never happened to me but it was odd since I just spent $34. They said the pump was fine and said to wait five minutes. I waited and nothing. Then they said to drive around because my needle was probably messed up. My son is late to swim class because of this and they didn't even treat the situation with concern. On the contrary they treated me horribly by yelling out take pictures of her license plate and the car at the pump. I was so embarrassed. Literally never felt so humiliated. I have her voice recording too.smh!! read more

Poor review due to the manner in which their pumps function. I have used 3-4 different pumps at this gas station, and they all act in the same manner. On a near empty tank, the pumps "click off" at maybe half a tank full every single time? I cannot get more than 5-6 gallons before it clicks off like it would normally do when full. Then you have to manually hold the handle, and it continues to click off every 10 seconds or so. Due to this, not convenient and takes too much time. read more

This use to be the most cost effective gas station around this area, even though it was only a couple blocks south of the 210 freeway. I don't reside in this area anymore, so I can't say that statement still stands. Located next to Ralph's on Lake Avenue, this station is always busy. However, there are multiple entry points, if you're traveling north or south on Lake, entering the station isn't bad. The other option is from Union.Unlike other gas stations around that have convenient stores, this 76 only offers petrol, lotto tickets, cigs, a few snacks, and a coke machine. Need to clean your windows while gas is pumping? This is one of the few gas stations I have found that always has paper towels. Need air in tires, they've got the machines to do it. read more

Gas prices are consistent with the other local gas stations in the area. Pretty good amount of items in the market. Always the same guy who works during the day and night. Friendly and maintains good service. It's just gas and I personally don't like getting it, but sure feels good when the tanks full! read more

CHEAPEST GAS IN PASADENA! Gas is expensive in the "DENA". This place is at least five to ten cents cheaper than any other surrounding gas stations. Only other cheap place is Arco... which is ALWAYS crowded. read more

4 stars price 1 star too many crazies lurking This is by far the cheapest 76 in town. The one at Hill and Walnut generally runs about 10 cents more, and the one at Glenarm and the 110/Arroyo Parkway is somewhere around 20 cents more per gallon. The station is large, and has ample pumps. This does not stop it from being permanently busy! UGH! I can get past that and the idiots who drive in there and dont pull forward or pull too far forward, but I cannot get past the people knocking each other out to wash your windows! No joke, saw two "transients" arguing about which of them got to my car first to ask if they could do it for some spare change. You see this credit card I am swiping to pay with, it doesn't shoot change out! EF! I go here ONLY for their prices. I try to bring my husband so he can fill up for me, and I WILL NOT go here at night by myself for any reason. Not gonna happen. read more

Beware the gas station trolls after dark! My family has been going to this gas station for years, because it is convenient and it tends to have good prices, at least for 76 Stations. However- we try not to go here after dark, because this location is plagued by a homeless, forced-window-washing population. We call them the trolls. Not very nice, but if I don't want my F-ing window squeegeed, leave my F-ing window alone! Some of them are super-creepy and/or rude. so i've been told by a friend who lives in pasadena that this 76 offers the cheapest gas, which is true! i usually do my redbull run at the gas stations... but sadly this gas station only offer drinks for your car, not for yourself. no convenient store to be found at this gas station. happy car, sad me. boo. read more

How can you not rate this place 5 stars. This station has the reputation of being the cheapest in Pasadena for a 76 station. The Mobile down the street competes and usually has the same price. Of course Arcos are the cheapest around, but you can't use credit cards. My classic does well on this station's 87 octane. read more

Only reason I give it o e star is because it's the only diesel around. Highest priced diesel in southern CA. Today (9-16-11) it's $4.79. 20 cents higher than Gorman, CA. For comparison, Chino 76 is at $3.99. Most places, and I fill up daily are around $4.19. No convenience store and inconsiderate people who take the diesel pumps first even though they take gas. read more

yes i've experienced better and it was this place a couple of years ago. that was back when they had the cheapest gas for miles, but now, not so much anymore; the mobil station up the street is around the same price. however for you nostalgia buffs they're still open 24 hours and the same old stiffs still sit behind the bulletproof glass in their little retail-less corner hut. as long as they're on duty, you know you're on your own. this review is more a warning that if you would get creeped out being hounded for spare change by the teams of ewoks staking out the pump islands all night then you should fuel up elsewhere. read more

This gas station always seem to have good prices, compared to the other local gas stations. However, I hate when I pay at the pump here and can never get a receipt at the pump. I always have to go to the window and ask the cashier for a receipt. They request your credit card in order to give you a receipt. I've asked several times about this problem and they don't seem to care. I like this station's good gas deals, but I hate to be inconvenienced because some time there's a long line at the window to get a receipt. So, I'll give 4 out of 5 stars for this gas station because everything else if fine. read more

I never look forward to coming here to fill up, but do you ever find your car with the gas light on after 50 miles and you don't want to risk that extra 5 more miles to reach home. Those are the times I gas up at this 76. The value of this 76 is in price and location... nothing else. It's so cramped that it can't even fit three cars between two pumps, and there's only like 8 pumps I think. If you're lucky, you might get a whiff of some bbq joint nearby to neutralize the gasoline smell. Lovely huh. This gas station also seems to attract people who are looking for a helping hand (change, food, etc.) for whatever reasons. read more

I'm not sure anyone else has said this yet, but cheapest gas in Pasadena! But in all seriousness it really is. That and if you're looking to hang out with some homeless people this is your place. I'm actually fine with the ones who are here and feel safe even when I stop on my way home from a big night out at 4 in the morning and they come hassle me for change. But if homeless people bother you then definitely don't come after dark. read more

I was forced to stop here when I was down to less than a gallon left in the tank. It was a monday night, around 11pm. I pulled in and there was one other car pumping gas. I saw two women stumbling around the attendents window...obviously high or drunk or both. One of them spotted me and started towards me...I quickly locked my car and put my card in the machine to pump my gas but she got to me before I could hide in the car again. She asked for money...when I said no, she said she would clean my windows. I said no again and I had no cash...she said she would take my pennies. I said no again but she wouldn't walk away, so I got back in my car while the gas pumped. She finally went back over to the other woman and they both were chit chatting with the attendent...I didn't see him or her at all but this is unacceptable. Two more cars pulled up but they both parked and went to the window to purchase something and the women harassed them as well, right in front of the window. When my gas was done, I got out of my car and the other woman now came over and harassed me again. I was so uncomfortable that I didn't even get a receipt! These two women were OBVIOUSLY under the influence and the gas station just let them harass people. Plus the gas prices were 20 cents higher than stations only a mile away. Never coming back. read more

I was traveling through Pasadena when my tire pressure gauge came on. I needed to put some extra air in so I asked the attendant to turn on the air pump. she said "you have to pay". I said "no, you're supposed to provide air to your customers as part of the service". Again, she told me I had to pay. I will NEVER stop there again. The most rude, unpleasant and unreasonable person I've ever met. read more
