I stopped to fill up here purely for the convenience. You can't beat its location right in front of the on-ramps for the 5 going both north and south. That said... prepare to pay an arm, a leg, and maybe another leg. This is easily some of the priciest gas in San Diego. A quick heads-up if you're hopping onto the 5 South: the road leading into this station is a one-way, so be extra mindful when exiting the parking lot. Choose the wrong exit and you risk pulling into oncoming traffic trying to get back to the freeway. Overall, I appreciate the location for the convenience, but the gas prices are definitely among the highest in the city. CHEVRON EXTRA MILE STORE Absolutely horrible customer service. We walked over from our hotel nearby as it was the closest and most convenient for snacks. The attendant was crass, rude and could care less if a customer was there. He refused to speak during anyone's transaction. You had to look at the cash register screen to know your transaction amount. I would never step foot in this store again, and highly recommend no one else does either. Creepy dark uncomfortable neighborhood. There appeared to be some type of supervisor standing nearby when we walked in, but that didn't affect the behavior of the attendant. We were there during swing shift, around 8 PM on a Friday night (8/26/23). One thing, he treated every customer equally as bad, so he wasn't playing favorites. As I received my change from the attendant, I smiled and stated to him, "Thank you for shopping with us, we appreciate your business. Please come again soon!". There are tons of shopping options in the San Diego Little Italy District. I'd never recommend this dive to anyone. From looking at the other reviews, I'm not alone. This Chevron sits in downtown San Diego, right off the 5 freeway entrance and exit. The gas station is small, sitting on a small lot along a major street. I came here for some gas on my way into the area, before dinner. Fortunately, this station was not too packed, and I was able to fuel up fast. The prices were a bit higher than other stations in the area, but we were in dire need of fuel, so I didn't care much to go scavenging for deals. I've stopped by the convenience store as well, which offers the standard amenities. They are well places in this city, but if you're looking for a bargain, I'd say head elsewhere. read more

I went to this location at 12:30AM on 04/14/24 because unfortunately Ralph's decided to close early tonight. The cashier had a major attitude but I didn't need him to assist me for the most part which was fine. But there were no bags for the pastries and I asked if there were more and he said they were sold out if they weren't there. Not sure how they can be sold out of FREE bags for the merchandise but ok. He didn't bother to check. I had to split my transaction because I was getting snacks for coworkers and I guess that was too much to ask because he snatches the receipt off the register when I asked for it. If he hates his job that much he shouldn't be working customer service. I hope the owners are aware of the type of people they are choosing to represent their business. I won't be buying anything from here again. This experience is actually rated 0 starts but Yelp requires at least 1 to post the review. read more

Gas was higher then usual. Because if course it's Down to and right by a freeway on ramp. What I'm irritated about is their drinks. The mango smoothie I swear tasted like carrots. The strawberry one had no flavor at all. What originally looked like a new spot for drinks just blew up. My review is for their air pump. It is a rip off. My low pressure tire indicator lit up on my way to work. I stopped by to use the air pump. "Whoa! $1.50!" I had no choice, my tire needs it. I was not sure which tire needed it so I measured all tires and was surprised to find all of them below 28 psi. I quickly pumped them up to 33 psi and went on my way to work. For good measure, I checked the tire pressure again a few days after within the same week and this time the tires were cold (not driven). Three tires measured 37-38 psi. One tire was 31.5 psi. Obviously, one tire had a leak while the rest were good albeit overinflated but no leak. Obviously, the air pump at this Chevron station is not callibrated. It advertises "Free air check". The gauge can be used to check tire pressure without paying $1.50 but if it gives erroneous reading then one is forced to pay plus over inflate tires. Management, have this pump recallibrated. Otherwise, you are stealing from customers through fraudulent reading. read more

It's not the workers fault that the owners are so cheap that instead of having min wage coverage they actually make the employees close the entire store which makes for poor customer service. Let alone the fact that the employees are the ones that have to deal with the irate customers. Boo for the non- American owners & yay for the single moms that only get part-time hours. 4 Stars Pulled in to fill up on gas and get a few things while we waited for our hotel room. This has to be one of the cleanest gas stations and THE CLEANEST Exxon that I've been to. Outside walls/fence had mural type painting of different fish, and one of the employees was actually cleaning as we pulled up. The store has everything you need.....including lucky lottery tickets (mine won.......just a ticket though), and Yemane had a great attitude while ringing me up. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced,I went to buy some snacks today and put gas in my car when I went to pay I asked the cashier if I could use the restroom she was probably having a bad day because she had an attitude said it's outside in Spanish,went outside the door needed a key went back inside she rudely said they are cleaning the restrooms went back outside the cleaning lady even before I asked her a question was pointing to go asked inside,went inside the cashier said lady i said they are cleaning so I yelled in English apparently you are not understanding me no one is inside the restroom you need to unlock it!!!!
