This Costco gas is a little bit difficult to get in and out of. The entrance to the main lot is difficult, and the gas is in the South end. Getting in is difficult enough, and the lines are a little confusing. I have seem people almost get in a fight when they felt someone was cutting them off. This is often the cheapest gas in the area, so it can get crazy during peak times. When you go to leave, it's difficult to turn left across the entrance lane. Try to use the rows closer to the cliffside, and even turn right and go out along the backside of the building because that's a better exit. read more

If you go before the store opens, then you will see almost no lines. It makes getting gas super convenient on my way to drop off my daughter at school. I typically stop there between 8-8:45 am and can be in and out within 5 minutes. Sometimes, I will go in the afternoon before the after school rush around 2-3pm. The lines are minimal and there are even workers helping to direct traffic into the shortest lines. Once you get to the pump, the prices are significantly cheaper than any other gas station in the area with either regular or premium. Thought Costco gasoline was overrated. Welp. I was wrong haha. This place is always crowded but the lines are always moving. Just be proactive and avoid the lines on weekends and you'll be in and out in no more than 10 minute. Not a fan of how they set it up the lines though. As it leads to congestion for other cars just trying to enter the parking lot or get around the cars waiting in line. My car seems to be happy with the quality of the gas. It feels like it runs smoother when I use Costco as opposed to other stations. I do wished that they had more signage about not going back into your car as you pump gas. Thought that was common knowledge but apparently not. Sometimes there are people asking for signatures. Usually for half way decent things. That's one way to pass the time. I usually go and get a pizza and then get in line for gas. Prices are generally twenty or more cents less than other places. Sometimes I don't have my membership card on hand and so I need to call over the attendants. Always worth the visit. This location is busy but very convenient. Less crowded than normal Costco's since they don't have all the other things that aren't considered business. Stopped by here for gas on our way from La Jolla to downtown San Diego. Because of the lack of land, Costco could not layout the parking lot for both the store and gas station ideally. This results in A LOT of congestion trying to get in AND out of the gas station. Like all Costco gas stations, one must enter through one direction and exit the opposite. There are 4 islands, with the left 3 having 3 pumps (each pump having two nozzles) but the far right one only having 2. (Meaning there are 22 nozzles total). But unlike other Costcos where each island side gets its own queue, there is only space for 2 cars side by side for most of the queue. Choose the left lane: it goes a lot faster. As expected, some folks refused to drive around to fill an empty spot up ahead, but instead waited for the car in front to finish (because they did not want to deal with having to parallel park). Once you are at the station, though, it's as easy as tapping your citi costco card and filling up. Getting out is also very painful....you are forced to drive through the main parking lot and cut through a main entry point either patiently waiting for someone to let you through, or just carving out a space. Most other costcos smartly has an exit just for folks just wanting to fill up. This set-up would really benefit for a human to manually direct traffic. Not sure if it would be worth coming here just for gas, day after day....the congestion would just wear you down. read more

I always get my gas from Costco as they offer the best prices. You can check their website/app for current price and they also post the gas price as you are walking into the warehouse. The lines here are long, but it usually doesn't take too much time if you choose the right line (which I seem to always choose the one where people don't know what they are doing). The hoses will reach either side of the car, so you can go into any line. They also have lighted signs above so you can see which pumps are available. And yes, please don't wait for all the cars to move to get to the middle or front pump if they are open; the lanes are big enough in between so that you can move up and back into that spot. They only offer 87 and 91 and only accept Visa CCs. If you don't bring your physical membership card to input, you'll have to ask one of the attendants to scan (after you show them your digital membership card). They do not have squeeges to clean your windows. The layout of the location makes it difficult to exit the parking lot from the gas station. You have to make a left out where there's usually a line of cars entering the lot, so sometimes it can take a bit to find an opening to leave. read more

I bought a box of white peaches several days ago and left them outside to ripen because they had no aroma and were stone hard. Today I had to throw away 3 out of 10 peaches because, although there was no sign of ripeness on the outside, the inside was brown and mushy. Have these peaches been irradiated or how have they been treated to be so unnatural? I think the customer needs to be told about what process the fresh produce is undergoing before we choose to consume it.
