I always come to chevron for my car wash. I like how they have the little shaded area in case you want to wipe down your car more or clean the interior. They used to have vacuum's but they are no longer there. I pay $8 for the ultimate wash. It's card only.

It's an OPEN AIR car wash. So cool

It's very strange to have a bit of a crush on a car wash, but last night's impromptu date at this Chevron station really surprised me. I had no plans to get a car wash. I've been burned so much by that ONE Shell gas station / car wash on Poway Road (you know who you are), the ONLY business to which I would give a 1-star review after several repeat visits. Those experiences have been so bad that I've pretty much sworn off automated drive-through car washes in-house at service stations. But sometimes you just have no time to go to a full-service car wash, and you've had it with the curtain of dirt on your vehicle, and so you say hit the "YES" button after filling up your tank when you're asked if you want to add a car wash for a few extra bucks. Cruising up to the car wash entrance, I immediately knew I was in for something different. A treat even. There was no roof to this open-air wash. And there were robotic arms shooting streams of water, spinning and spraying around the car ahead me, zipping back and forth like artificial intelligence. It looked new and modern, like something out of the 22nd Century catalog of car washes. When I pulled in slowly, there were green-lit signs on each side clearly outlining how far to drive in/out/stop and also to tell me what stage of the wash we were experiencing: 1) Cleaning, 2) Washing, 3) Polishing, 4) Surface Protectant, 5) Spot-Free Rinse, 6) Air Drying, and 7) Thank You (how polite!). A car wash has never been so, so...communicative. Usually you just sit in the darkness of your soap-and-water-engulfed car and wait, wait with the gear in park while you let the machine do its thing. One of the best parts was when the robotic arms raced back and forth across my Camry's panels, sending the cleanest, strongest, wettest downpour of water I have ever seen from the inside of my glass windows. I'm so used to a dribble here, a dribble there, but I was elated how these little hoses were really getting the job done. Wow. No malfunctioning, no confusion, and no time wasted as it was fast and easy, done in just a few minutes.. I got the "Basic" wash for $5, which had everything I needed, except a wax, although it did include a "clear coat protectant," which time will tell if it really does anything to keep my car looking clean. For $7, you get the basic wash plus the wax. I've never seen my car look so clean after an automated wash, so chances are I'll be back here for a second date next time I'm in the area. And if I don't, at least I had a lot of fun last night.

Always well kept. Clean Inside and out. They offer Car washes here, with vacuums. I Come her every morning in my way to work to grab breakfast or a fountain drink. Service is great, not to overwhelming for a morning welcome lol.

I always frequent this Chevron because its central, and the closest to work. Not to mention its next to all the major freeways, 163 and 805. The prices here are definitely not the cheapest, but it always fluctuates. I love how largely spaced the gas stations are from each other which gives a lot of room for movement. It gets packed sometimes, but its moves quickly. Not to mention their awesome drive through car wash which is lowered car friendly. It doesn't get every little spot clean, but does the job good. Get the deluxe car wash for only $8.

Wax on, wax off....who doesn't like to have a sparkly, clean car free from tree sap and bird droppings to drive in? On days that I really do not have time to wait for a full-service hand car wash, I would hop on the I-163 North Freeway and visit the Chevron gas station located on Balboa Ave. Easy access from both the I-163 North and South ramps, and also close to Sonic Drive-In for tater tots and Convoy for boba! This review is only for the car wash service at Chevron. Back in the 90s when I went on car washes with my mom, the giant whirlpool brushes banging and shaking the entire vehicle always gave me the heebie jeebies. Today, I prefer my car washes to be gentle and less like being engulfed by a sea creature! hehe...The touchless Chevron carwash machines are seriously built by top engineers around the nation, with elegant robotic arms that jet out solution and reagents at an optimal force and softwares to help run the mechanics properly. The color codes and large signs are interactive and help guide how far to pull in during each stage of the cleaning process. Be sure to pay inside at the gas station first to get a code for the car wash. As of June 2016, there are three packages that ranges from $5 to $8. The Basic Wash ($5) is a foam bath and dry. The Delux ($7) includes foam bath, clear coat protectant, spot free rinse and dry. The Works ($8) includes rinse, foam bath, tri color polish, surface protectant, spot free rinse and...wait for it...spot free rinse! All packages come with a Thank You when the process is complete. I love sitting in the car, listening to my jam and watching the rainbow color polish getting squirted on the windows. I didn't actually time it, but you can be in and out of the wash in less than 10 minutes (if there are no other cars ahead). The Chevron touchless car wash is a convenient and quick way to get that top layer of dirt and dust off your car temporarily until you have more time on the weekend to visit a hand wash service. Truly recommend it. Heck, I even wanted to drive back in again just to sit through the fun! I also saw that the Costco on Tech Center Dr has a similar touchless car wash, I would really like to try out and see if it is just as fun!

This is possibly one of the nicest 7-Eleven stores I have been to in my life. It was clean, it was organized, and it was stocked. Something that I am not accustomed to. Even though they are well stocked, it doesn't mean the selection is vast. It is somewhat limited to certain brands and of the items they do have you don't get to choose a better one because of that. I feel like that might because of the size of the store as it was not a traditional store set up. That's probably the biggest drawback of this location. The size is limited because it is located on street level of a newer building. Street level is a bit of a stretch as the entrance is on the side street and down a small hill. Customer service was great. The employees working were helpful and swift with the transaction. Able to watch the store and answer customer question while checking my items out.

The pharmacist is always kind, helpful and happy, as are anyone else at the counters. Way better than than previous pharmacies we've used. This store gets a bad rap because of all the homeless looting the store - emptying its shelves. It's a daily battle, they've tried security at the doors, but for whatever reason they don't have it anymore. They should permanently close off the door on Kettner and create a booze only counter with the liquor behind it, not accessible to the customer unless they are buying it at the booze counter.

It appeared that the wide variety of selection was set for libations rather than other items in the store. For the footprint of the store it seems that there just wasn't enough room in house to accommodate that. Like I said, because the libations took up a solid two aisles. That meant that the rest of the aisles were left to have items fight for counter space. Unfortunately on both of my visits here I did not find what I needed and had to venture elsewhere to get those items. Customer service wasn't too bad here, they were attentive to the needs of those in the store, but at some points they appeared to be bothered to help you at first. It is what it is. I view this more as a community convenience store than a Rite Aid. I suppose if you live in the neighborhood it is better than trekking to wherever to get a quick item.

I usually come here for a quick, fast , and affordable car wash, and it is convienently located near me. The gas area is tight and limited, but eventually, you can squeeze in even on a busy day. They have quite a few gas pumps and some store parking up front for the personnel, not needing gas. Inside the store is spacious and clean and they sell many drink varietys and snacks. They offer alcohol beverages and tobacco products as well. As for the car wash, it is built in the same space as the gas station. You can easily pay for your car wash while pumping gas, or you can just pull up to the car wash area and pay with a debit/credit card. There are 4 options for the car wash ranging from basic to deluxe, and this time, I went with the standard basic option. The car wash uses high-pressure water soap and also has scrubbers to get your car looking beautiful. The dryer has vents blowing from the left side and right side with a 60-second timer. At this time, you are allowed to change from park to drive and slowly go through drying off all excess water. Overall, it is a great gas station to go to and pick up some snacks and gas for the road and, of course, a car wash to get your fresh ride looking squeaky clean. There is a vacuum and air for your tires in the station for an additional cost. The customer service is always good, and the service is fast as to where you're in and out to continue your day.
