Gave three stars because; Sales dept should be zero stars. To make a long story very short. When I bought my TLX, which I love, I was told I had the best credit score they have ever seen, (840) and offering a 1% loan. After hours of closing the deal, The salesman said they made a mistake and now its a 3% loan! As I was walking out, they made some sort of deal on the price to make up the difference, but I'm not sure, really. Ended up buying the car. Service department gets 5Plus stars. Always quick, honest, even will send a car to pick me up or drive me home if they don't have loaners. read more

Well, sure enough, they didn't disappoint in moving lethargically, making me wait an additional 2 hours without any sort of heads-up or update on the vehicle I bought from them.Now granted, I wouldn't be making this if it were something major like a head gasket, but this was something I've done myself and watched others do, and it should not take this long. I came here because it was complimentary, so I expected at least some urgency with my time. Please plan accordingly when coming here, because your time is not what's valued here... but your money is. Updated 9/26/24 I know you're asking why did I go back to CC Acura after my last experience. Long story short I was having problems with the charging system. I panicked and CC Acura was where I purchased the car. I called to schedule a service appointment. I spoke with Keith who was very kind. I explained to him that the I was having a problem with my charging system, they the TPMS light was on and that I wanted 2 new tires. We went over tire size, etc and he scheduled my appointment for 2:30 that day but to let him know if the tow truck would arrive earlier. I called to notify them that the TT would be there around 1:30 and the rep advised she would notify Eric Sanchez, my service consultant. I received a call from Eric around 3 that day that he would send me a diagnostic report once my car had been fully inspected. I didn't hear from Eric anymore that day which was fine. I waited until 3 pm the following day before I reached out to get a status update. Eric advised they were still running test and that he would get back to me. He called around 4:30 that evening and offered me a loaner. I advised that I would pick it up the next morning. Now we're 3 days in since my car was delivered. Finally, I received a diagnostic report that included 3 things that needed immediate attention. I went through the report and confirmed what I'd like to have done. I contact Eric and inquired if the work would be completed that day. He insured it would so I told him I would not need a loaner but I would need the shuttle to bring me to pick up my car. He was to call me when my car was ready. I received another message around 3 that afternoon stating when the mechanic did the test drive the TPMS light was on which I already knew and had already reported during my appointment scheduling process.i approved to have this replaced. Eric again insured me it would be done that day. I waited in my office to receive his call that my car had been completed. I never received a call from Eric even though he knew I would need a ride. I was sent a text and email at 4:37 that I didn't receive until after 5. I called and text Eric to no avail. I waited at my office until 6:15 with no response. I finally sent him a text saying that I was leaving and I would need my car delivered the next day. I received a text at 7:30 the following morning stating he got off at 5. He didn't contact me the evening prior to let me know my car was ready or arrange a shuttle for me as discussed. There was no communication. I advised again I would need my car delivered. He asked for the address and when I would be available. I told him I was available then. He then text if 10:30 would be too late. I said yes. I got a call at 10 that the delivery guy was on the way. Luckily, he confirmed the address with me because even though I provided the correct address he was headed to an incorrect location. He arrived at 10:30. I was not surprised. Clearly this was a very disappointing and costly experience. The customer service was just poor. Next the cost of service here is outrageous. Even after taking in account that it's a dealer, the location, cost of labor and parts. For example, the cost of plugging a tire $60, rear brake replacement $794, and the TPMS replaced (1 tire) $235. These are just a few examples. I have additional work done was well. I would not recommend CC Acura for your car needs. read more

During the final signing of the paperwork, a charge for an "appearance warranty" totaling over $1000 was included without my prior knowledge or consent. When I pointed out this wasn't on the sticker, I didn't want it, and want it removed, I was told that it was a mandatory, non-negotiable charge and could not be taken off the bill. This deceptive practice inflated the final price of the vehicle and forced me to pay for a product I did not want or agree to. I believe this constitutes an unethical sales tactic. I really wish I had read reviews for this place before taking my car to get repaired. These reviews are poor overall and have many common themes - poor customer service, delays, and outrageous pricing. All in all - seek service here at your own peril. I took my car to the service shop, because it was under one of the locations recommended by GEICO near my area. I had minor damage to my bumper after a car hit me from behind at a traffic stop - otherwise my car was in perfect conditions. After taking my car to the service shop, I didn't hear back for a couple days. I had to reach out to inquire about the status of my car. They came back with an inflated estimate that was over $4000 and included "nice to have" but not "need to have" repairs. GEICO thus deemed the car a total loss, because it is a 2005 model and the cost exceeded the car's retail value. The service shop then refused to repair my car, because they said they don't work on cars designated total loses. When I asked to pick up my car to take it to another repair shop, I was told that I might need to tow it because the mechanics had dismantled the car completely to do a general diagnostic and were unsure if they could put it back together. I was livid, because my car ran just fine before I took it into the service shop. It just needed cosmetic changes to the bumper, nothing structural. Fortunately, I was able to pick up my car and I took it to C&G Specialty Auto Repair in Arlington. This repair shop not only repaired my car in less than a week, but they did so at half the price ACURA was charging. And, throughout the process, C&G kept me up to speed on the status of my car. Don't take my word for it, check out their reviews. They are much better than what you'll read here on ACURA. read more

Waited 3 hours to learn that my broken console would cost $537 plus a latch and labor to replace. Ordered the same exact console for $114 online plus an $8 latch. If I could give less stars, I absolutely would. I came in looking at a used Prius, and I've never been more insulted by the way the manager on duty spoke to me. I tried to reference the current Used Clean Vehicle Credit I wanted to use towards the vehicle, and he brow-beat me insisting it wasn't real, interrupted me each time I tried to speak, and spoke to me like I was an insolent child. Surprise, the next dealership I went to absolutely accepted the credit, and we were able to move seamlessly through the process with class. I've had two services with CC. First was a scheduled service to get an oil change among other things. I loved this service. The representative on my appointment was responsive and very helpful. I used the option for them to pick up and drop off vehicle, complimentary if you're within a close proximity. The other service was through an insurance claim. There were no issues with ordering parts, yet there were delays in getting the repair done, despite the actual work taking a day or two. It did seem like the bodyshop was overwhelmed with the amount of cars so some wait is justified but I waited a month.. frustrating at the least. There isn't a whole lot of communication either. You're told one thing and when you call back to check on the status, they don't pick up. I enjoyed working with Stan and he seemed like an honest (and very knowledgeable) guy. I couldn't tell if the comms issue was him or the office or the fact they were handling too much. Anyway, the repairs got done and was done well but when I got the car, there was still broken glass under the seat. It was near the end of the work day and I didn't want to go through any more delays so I used their vacuum myself to clean up. read more

Would not recommend trying to sell your used car here. Go through private or a used car lot. I got a KBB quote, was then hounded by the sales people here asking to bring my car in, which I eventually did. My KBB offer was multiple thousands of dollars more than what they ended up offering me. But the insult to injury was the customer service. Upon arriving, i was handed off to multiple people, and after evaluating my car, they walked back inside when who i think was the manager was not quiet about his distaste with my vehicle - and I was within earshot. Regardless of the quality of my vehicle, i expect a level of professionalism, and what i heard was disrespectful and rude. It's a business, I get it, but they are also in the business of customer service. Do better. read more

I brought my car here for some paint correction and when I got the car back I noticed all my windows and windshields had some kind of coating on it distorting my vision hence making this a safety concern. I brought it back multiple times for the dealership and they have denied any responsibility and the best advice I got was to replace all the glass on the car out my own pocket. The lack of professionalism and safety concern for a "luxury dealership" has me regretting ever bringing my car here. I even spoke to the district manager and he even said there was nothing he could do as he only deals with warranty and manufacturer defects as this is considered a "workmanship" issue. He referred me to escalate the situation to Acura directly and I've filed a report with them. I've tried multiple things and called in favors from friends in the car industry as I didn't want to point the blame on the dealership. This is not something I could have done nor something "environmental/outside influence" as they claimed. You get far superior service at the Hyundai dealership near the street! Just SAD. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH!!! I WOULDN'T TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP I began my search for a Certified Pre-Owned Acura MDX on the Acura.com website. It made it easier to search for the vehicle across many Acura dealerships at once. I found a MDX located at Chevy Chase Acura and clicked on the Contact Dealer tab. I immediately received a confirmation email stating that the dealership would contact me within 24hrs. The vehicle was a 2020 MDX SH-AWD w/Tech Pkg Vin#:5J8YD4H57LL010284 Dealer Stock#: PL044416A Mileage: 35099 Price$29000 I was contacted the next morning by Michael Dadson from Chevy Chase Acura about my inquiry. I stated that I had a trade in and would like to see what the purchase price would be after my trade. I received a purchase order from him but there seemed to be a problem with the original price of the vehicle. The price had jumped to $36998. I asked where the disconnect was because the price on the Acura.com website was $7998 less than the price on the purchase order. Michael Dadson replied: "Where did you get the price of $29000?" I then sent him multiple emails showing the $29000 price. I even went back to the confirmation email that I received from Acura.com to make sure that I wasn't mistaken. I click on the link in the email and sure enough it took me to the Acura.com website and there it was...$29000. I didn't get a reply from Michael Dadson for 3 hours, so I called him. He stated that his manager told him the there must've been a clerical error that the actual price was the one on the purchase order and that nothing could be done. i asked to speak with someone in charge but I still haven't received satisfaction. I then went back to the Acura.com website and the new price was now on the website, but when I click on the links in my original email it still said $29000. I'm glad that I didn't make the 2.5hr drive to find out that I was a victim of a "BAIT AND SWITCH' tactic of this dealership. I feel that even if it was a "Clerical Error" ... Something I like about this location is that they also include free car washes, snacks and water in the waiting room, I think wifi. I added a photo. I haven't had any issues with the car except the navigation isn't great. It could use an update maybe but I haven't taken the time to figure out how to do the update. This was my first time here at Chevy Chase Acura. I already had a prequalified loan from Capital one and that is what led me here. I don't live anywhere near this location but I decided to take this ride down 95 and get stuck in traffic ( That's another story) So there were no major issues. Everybody was nice. I already knew what I wanted and had a deal before I got here so that made things better. The wait time was so long. I am not sure because of Covid but I hate waiting! we waited in the waiting room at least an hour just looking around. I will say the waiting room was super clean. You could probably eat off the floor. You could smell the bleach and I actively saw at least three people cleaning, sweeping and mopping while I waited in the waiting room. I had a rental car from Hertz and they were nice enough to come and pick me up. It took a minute for my car to finally be ready. I am not 100% sure what they were doing. Funny but my car also drove much better when a took a test drive. By the time I signed those papers and it was mine it felt like it drove a little different. So the NUMBER ONE THING that I had a major problem with....... THEY DID NOT FILL my tank up. I have NEVER brought a NEW car and my gas tank wasn't filled completely. It was only 75%! I am a little disappointed. read more

We were having a hard time finding an RDX with the options and color that we wanted at a fair price. We had to look at 6 different dealer locations with 4 of them promising to deliver in about 4 - 5 weeks. Looked from Virginia to New York. Thought we had a good deal, but some were standard slime "Put a deposit down and we'll let you know the cost when it comes in" was a statement by 2, another wanted $4,000 more than what we paid flat out (ridiculous). Another said they had the RDX, but really didn't, they finally got one shipped it to MD, but by this time we were done with their doubletalk so we looked here. Ultimately Chevy Chase saved the day and we paid about $2,000 off the sticker with the incentives. Our Salesman Fred and Manager Ralph made it all happen and relieved our stress by making everything go smoothly. Ours was a trade in / new buy, and this dealership met the Carmax quote for our trade. The manager made the whole deal work without a financing incentive, which would have been fine, but we didn't really need. Bottom line; I highly recommend these folks (I hardly give 5 / 5 stars ever). They do have inventory new and pre-owned, unlike the others, struggling to get some cars and SUVs. Bending the window frame and scratching the door trim outside and inside. I have the photos. They stole my OEM rear Acura black chrome emblem I bought that I had left in the car to install later. When confronted I found it was said to be a warranty repair item sent back to Acura. How? It was my personal property. How can they replace the emblem, send one back, lose mine, and claim three equals two? The service tech understood at the time and ordered my stolen replacement. Made an appointment for an oil change .... Appointment time was 12:30pm ... got there 12:17 .... Checked car in ... went to waiting room. This was my first time here so I was like let's see how they do. 2:10pm nothing !!!! I text the service advisor and ask on the ETA And I get a list of repairs that they recommend @ 2:15.... My car had not even been attended to 2 hrs in until I text to ask on the ETA. I do expect to wait , but what's the point of an appointment? I was running late so I walked down to pick up car oil changed or not .... Took 10 min to figure who had my RO... it was terrible and the service guy was kinda rude ( he did not know I could hear him and he said ...she can wait.) I will not be going back. We had been told the car we were interested in was being repaired and that they would let us know before our 6pm appointment if the car was complete. At 3:30pm we were told the car would be ready. We get to our appointment at 6pm and are told the car had been sold. Now, we had spoken to sales people and other representatives multiple times that day. They had our numbers and could have easily called us to tell us that the car had been sold. At the end of the day this is just rude. read more

Then they want to run everything through their online system without actually talking to you about it. Very difficult to get a hold understand and ask questions I was told my rotors would be replaced verbally, and they were not replaced. Only the brake pads. I have been a fan of CC since I bought my rdx here over two years ago... it's very low mileage but I bring my car here for service anyWay (over an hour drive).... I had an aPpointment forr an OIL CHANGE At 9am and supposedly a "special customer" with Acura care and paid maintenance plan... I admit I was a few minutes late but it's about to strike 11am and still no car. Have asked twice (after being told at 945 my car was done but tHat was apparently the wrong car?) if there's a delay and just being told waiting on paperwork. Sorta comical since r im staring at a sign that says service for minor things guaranteed under an hour... hmmm. Makes me sad to post this, but I'm now 1-2 hours late to work, so the $ I saved from the oil change is more than lost. read more

The body work they ended up doing to my car was decent, but they overcharged me by a few hundred dollars and they took about a week longer than they initially told me it would take. When I brought my car in, they refused to give me a price quote. I should have left immediately, but I figured they are a big Acura dealership so I should trust them. Big mistake. They later called me with a price quote that sounded reasonable so I agreed to the service. But when I went to pick up my car, they stated a price that was a few hundred dollars over what I was told on the phone. I had no way to dispute it because I had nothing in writing. I am guessing this is one of the reasons they don't give price quotes when you drop off your car. That way nothing is in writing and they can bilk you when you pick up your car. Frankly, I have never dealt with a car dealership that swapped prices on me when I went to pick up my car before, but I guess autobody shops don't have to rely on repeat customers. read more
