    In my ever lasting search for a car, I read a Yelp review about Ourisman Honda in Bethesda. Thank you, Kathryn for leading me to Christie. I called and made an appointment to see Christie. When, I say ray of sunshine, sweet as candy, and very honest and helpful. That is Christie and she is knowledgeable about the brand. I really enjoyed my test drive of the Honda CRV. It was a great ride, but I am a little hesitant, of the size. I will be going back to drive it again and maybe try some other models. But, I had to give a huge shout out to Christie. She is a real gem.

    Now that my child is grown up, I decided to trade in my mini van and get a hybrid, subcompact SUV. My dad said "Get a Honda!" So, I drove 3 miles from my house to the Ourisman Honda in Bethesda. Christie Prass met me, smiling at the door. She and I spent a good part of the next 3 afternoons selecting my perfect car! She was patient, kind and knowledgable. We had two cars to choose from and we took them both for fabulous test drives. Once I picked out my car, Christie introduced me to the staff in the finance department who expertly walked me through the financing options and trade in details. I am very satisfied with my experience at Ourisman and look forward to seeing Christie every time I go in to get my oil changed.

Will was our sales consultant who was happy to show us around the vehicle and take it for a test drive. He was happy to answer any of our questions and demonstrate the different features on the vehicle. We left the dealership that afternoon to sleep on our decision. The next day, Sunday, we were heading back down to dealership when Will sent us a message that the vehicle we were interested in had been sold. We decided to continue down and take a second look at another BEV Volkswagen we had considered. Will again showed us around the vehicle and pointed out one feature we believed was not available because other times we looked at the car other dealerships didn't know it existed - reclining the third row of seats. It made a world of difference in the level of comfort when sitting in those seats and something the Volvo allowed for. The actual purchase process was very straightforward and absent any of the pressure for add-ons in the finance office. Sure, they mentioned the things you would expect - extended warranty, paint protection, etc. - but a simple "No, thank you" was all it took to move on to the next thing. Which brings us to the Sales Manager, Paul. We had one concern after the purchase of our vehicle that was overlooked by us during the sales process. We'd have opted out of it had we realized it that Sunday evening. We raised our concern with Will and he looped Paul into the conversation. Paul understood our concern and without question agreed to take care of it promptly. The team we worked with at Ourisman made for one of the best dealership experiences we've had. Thank you.

Before coming here, I used Toyota 355 in Rockville, but after a very disappointing experience there, I decided I would never return and began looking for a dealership that truly values its customers. This was my second visit, and once again Ben Thurston exceeded all expectations. In addition to my scheduled maintenance, I asked him to look into some damage on my wheels that I believed should be covered under my service plan. After reviewing the situation, Toyota initially determined that the repairs would not be covered. While I accepted the decision, I expressed my disappointment that the wheels on a truck I purchased for nearly $90,000 were already showing significant wear after less than two years. Rather than simply delivering the bad news and moving on, Ben took it upon himself to explore every possible option. He contacted multiple wheel contractors, discussed the situation with his management team, and even reached out to Toyota on my behalf. He genuinely cared about finding a solution and never stopped advocating for me throughout the process. In the end, Ben was able to secure approval from Toyota--not just for one wheel, but for the replacement of all four wheels. That outcome was far beyond anything I expected. Customer service like this is rare today. Ben went above and beyond in every sense of the phrase, demonstrating professionalism, persistence, and a true commitment to customer satisfaction. Because of him, I will continue bringing my vehicles here for service and will recommend this dealership to friends and family without hesitation. I have leased and purchased two vehicles at this location and I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience both times. The vehicle I wanted was in stock, appointment available to test drive AND take home the same day. The wait time was minimal each time. I was there maybe an hour tops, if that. Alex at the finance office was ultimately what cemented my perception of Jim Coleman Toyota from my prior experience at the sales department. He has assisted me previously for my lease to own conversion and I felt like I received a fair deal. The second time I was back to lease another vehicle, he has gone above and beyond so I can have the plates from the state of Florida. This helped tremendously because it helped reinforce and establish my home of records that is out of state. The service experiences I have had at this location has been consistently exceptional-- fast, minimal wait times, and appointments available when convenient for my schedule. It was also really nice that I never had to arrange an alternative ride. They'd give me an arranged Uber ride home or to work so the disruption to my schedule was nonexistent. The service advisors always kept me in the loop and communicated frequently. So I was never left wondering what is going on with my vehicle or when it would be ready. If I ever return to the region from out of state and need to purchase or lease another vehicle again, I know I would go straight to Jim Coleman Toyota. There's simply no better dealerships I would vouch for in the area.

    I am being a bit generous with the stars if only because of the price I paid for the car. My goal…read morewhen entering was to buy an inexpensive car for my "old man going to church on Sundays" car. In other words, expecting to only put around 7k miles on this car each year. I am also a tall guy so tried out the K4 and K5. Could not fit in a K4 and did not want an SUV or electric since that is already our primary vehicle. Would have been happy with a 2025 but ended up with a 2026 K5. Bought it since it was AWD. I did not know when I went in that they even sold an AWS sedan. So, a nice surprise. Also, the only one they had. Purchase was early December 2025. Pros, 1. Salesman was good, polite, and fairly clear. 2. Once we agreed on price, process was fairly quick. 3. Finance guy only tried once to sell me the useless expensive add-ons. When I told him to move on, his only response was, "not even the GAP insurance." When I said no, he completed the paperwork quickly. 3a) If he had not moved on quickly, I would have walked out. 3b) Note, I purchase GAP insurance through my insurance company, not a dealership. 4. When the tags came in, a nice young man from the dealership put them on for me. 5. Overall, about as good a buying experience as I could ask for. Cons. 1. After sale communication. There basically isn't any. No follow up at all. About a week after the sale, I texted the salesman to ask a tag question. Also to follow up on my request for handicapped plates. I have a hang tag and was not sure if they could get it for me or not. No response. I called the dealership to ask when they would arrive. Was told 4 to 6 weeks. 1a) this turned out to be accurate. About 2 weeks later I called again to inquire (4 weeks from sale) and was hung up on. 1b) Received a tag and title refund check in the mail. No other explanation. So, I went to the dealer to ask about it. Found out my plates were there. No one communicated this to me. If I had not gone to inquire about the refund check, I would not have known the plates were in. (See #4 above). No definitive explanation for the check other than either they overcharged me or could not do something for me and so refunded. I am not going to argue over returned money, but it would have been nice to know exactly why I received it. 2. Biggest con. There is or was a $1,000 rebate for financing through them. I did not care about interest rate etc. since my plan is to pay off the loan immediately. Confirmed, no pre-payment penalty. Both salesman and finance guy stated I could pay off the loan immediately if I wanted. No one said anything about keeping the loan for 90 days. However, I know about this from reading and checking things online. I do not want to screw anyone out of their rebate or kickback or whatever you call it, so, since I was in the dealership anyway, I asked specifically since the first payment is due in a couple of days. The person I spoke to then informed me that if I do not keep the loan for 90 days, I will be charged the $1,000. No idea if this is correct or not. Regardless, I will keep the loan for the 90 days and then pay it off. However, if this is true, I am not happy that this was done. Was it an "honest mistake" or an attempt to get some profit from me by basically cancelling the rebate? I will not speculate, but either way, not a good thing to do. 2a) To his credit, the man I spoke to told me I could pay off the majority of the loan, and then just pay interest on the remaining principle over the next couple of months. Makes sense, and if I had thought about it more, I would have paid the bulk of the loan the day the account was created at KIA finance. Summary Not a painful buying experience, what I think was an excellent price. All the people I spoke with at purchase and subsequent visit, polite and professional. No after sale communication. I had to initiate everything for follow up. Be wary of their finance/rebate deal. Make sure you understand all the terms and conditions.

    The car is great. This dealership seemed great at the time. But I would not buy from here again,…read morenor do I recommend that you do so, for one simple reason: They lied to us. We were in the market for a new car last year anyway, but decided to move up our timeline to qualify for the federal EV tax credit before it expired. During our experience at Ourisman Kia, we explicitly told the agent that that was why we were shopping then. We also asked to confirm that the vehicle, a 2025 Niro, qualified. We were repeatedly told that it did. It does not. When the IRS disqualified our claim to the $7,500 tax credit, I spoke to three separate people at Ourisman Kia who apologized, essentially admitted their mistake or deception, and indicated that some sort of amends would be made. But when I finally got in touch with the general manager, who took several days to respond, he said Ourisman Kia would not be providing any sort of relief, even while conceding that it was entirely possible that we had been misled. The mistake or deception was verbal, and I admit that it's on me for not researching the tax credit more thoroughly. And we do love the car. But in the end, whether intentionally or in error, Ourisman Kia gave us bad information that ended up costing us $7,500.

Fitzgerald didn't have the model or color I was initially looking for but Elaina took me on an evening test drive on a different model (Outback Premium) and I was won over...I'm a Subaru fan now for life! My car has not had any issues and the entire purchasing process went smoothly. I also continued to bring my car here for oil changes and maintenance and appreciated the waiting area (always stocked with coffee and snacks) and good service. Once or twice I've had to wait longer than expected but it was easy to check in with the associates at the counter for updates (and I had brought plenty of work to do). I also discovered in the waiting area some heart-shaped postcards on which you can write a brief message for cancer patients...thought that was pretty cool and enjoyed writing a few encouraging notes.

    I took my car in for service for some dashboard warning lights. Two days prior, I'd had the oil…read morechanged by a well-respected mechanic. When I left the service center after my repairs, I smelled burning, but I had just entered the highway during rush hour. My oil light came on, and I called the service center -- they told me to drive back. I was able to pull into a gas station instead, where the mechanics found that my oil had leaked under the hood and I was, as they put it, about a mile from losing my engine. If I had done what the Subaru center told me, I would have destroyed my engine on a highway during rush hour. The gas station cleaned up under the hood as best they could and had to add $67 worth of oil. I called the service center back, very upset, and was told someone would call me in the morning. The next day, I left a message, sent two emails to the service directors describing what happened, and answered my advisor's follow-up text about my experience -- and days later, no one had returned my call. I asked to see the service video they routinely record during work. No one responded to that either. On top of this, having done my homework on my car, I found the dealership had tried to sell me a diagnosis for the Starlink backup battery -- on a car with no active Starlink subscription, a system I don't have and clearly don't need. As for the oil: I have documentation from the mechanic who changed it days earlier showing everything was in order, and I'd been driving the car without issue since. I also have the receipt for the $67 of oil I had to add after leaving the station. Regardless of what caused the oil issue, the people at this service center did not care enough about what happened to me to even return my call. I will be lodging a formal complaint.

Even though it's a smaller shop, they have a comfortable waiting area with free coffee, snacks, and water, which was a really nice touch. They took care of my oil change and filter without an appointment and finished in less than an hour and a half. What really stood out to me was their honesty and generosity -- they even told me my next oil change would be free, which I've never experienced before. I've been to dealerships and many other auto service places around the Washington area over the past 20 years, and I can truly say this level of service is rare. This was my first visit, but based on this experience, they've earned my five stars. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend them!
