They do a great job with their arrangements. I have tried getting a few bouquets from other florists over the years, and they consistently disappoint, with droopy, dying, and/or sparse flowers. Here, I was so happy with the result. A bad bouquet can ruin the sentiment, but my wife was impressed. She mentioned multiple times how it was the best bouquet she had ever seen. I went with the Even Sweeter bouquet. I like that they offer three price tiers with slight variations on each design. For a birthday, I went with the top tier, which came to $167 with delivery. It was pricey, but I felt like it was easily worth it. The colors popped. It was a dense and varied arrangement. And it comes with a very sturdy and heavy vase that will easily get re-use. Bonus points for pain-free delivery. I ordered on their website the night before, and around 11:00 the next morning, they arrived at my door almost an hour ahead of schedule. I do wish they would have texted or called when they were on the way, but I was at home, so it was not an issue. Overall, they will be my new go-to whenever flowers are needed. They did an outstanding job providing the floral arrangements for my sister's wedding. I took a million photos of the wedding and reception, and even though the place itself was somewhat mediocre, the flowers made everything so much better. The way that some of the ornate arrangements were placed near the front, and the less intrusive flowers were off to the side, was interesting to me. They obviously have had a lot of experience doing this. Everyone had a great time dancing, eating, and having great conversations. I kinda wanted to take some of the arrangements home with me! I've been to this particular florist on two separate occasions. On both occasions, I had a wonderful experience. I stopped by a few months ago in order to pick up a last-minute bouquet of flowers for a girlfriend who was celebrating her birthday. I was a repeated customer for several years under the previous ownership, and the newbies need a lesson in PR. The florist has reopened under very limited COVID hours (Wed.-Fri., 9AM-3PM). That's OK, but ignoring a customer knocking loudly on the locked front door is not. Nothing on the website states the need for an appointment, which means that the person in attendance (whom I could see sorting flowers) pays attention! I walked three blocks--but suppose I had driven several miles instead? A waste of time on a hot, humid day. Smart retailers are welcoming customers back, not antagonizing them, and the prior owner, David, would never have been this arrogant. I walked in yesterday around 5:00 pm and purchased a loose floral arrangement. I was trying to be sweet for my fiancé who had been traveling abroad and was returning that evening. I didn't have any specific requests so I just asked the guy to make me up something nice in the $50-$60 dollar range. He did and it looked fine to me (I don't know anything about flowers). I paid $53.00 and walked the flowers to my house about a block away. I followed his instructions, cut an inch off the bottoms, mixed the plant food into the correct proportion of water and put the flowers in the vase. They looked fine. It's been 24 hrs and the flowers have all wilted and are nearly dead. Like I said, I don't know anything about flowers but I know they last longer than that. Up to a week in most cases. The guys at the store seemed nice enough at the time. Now I'm just feeling like I got taken advantage of. They could tell I was less than knowledgeable and saw an opportunity to offload their old dying stock. They sold me a bunch of dying flowers, wrapped a bow around it and took my $53. Just tried to call them but they close promptly at 6. I'll be following up tomorrow, to give them the opportunity to make it right. Until then. The review stands. My wonderful bf sent me flowers - but when I got them the first question that came to me was "how much did he pay for these?" 2 roses, 2 lilies, some baby mums and greens, in a fish bowl. Turns out he paid quite a bit, and I saw the picture of what they were supposed to be - I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I called the number on the back and left a message. I spoke with David, the owner, the next day and he was calm and explained to me that online company my bf got the flowers from only gave him a portion of the price of the flowers, so he made the arrangement from what the company split with him. Understandably, David had a right to be unhappy because of a mis-negotiated deal or mis-communication with the online flower broker. either way, situation resolved. I still think it's a little pricey. Otherwise I would've given 4 stars. read more

I go into my spiel about waiting until the last minute and ask Shane if they can possibly deliver today (Saturday) or on Mother's Day. He said unfortunately, they are booked for today but they could do tomorrow. Wait! Did I hear you right? You can deliver on Mother's Day? Yep! Then to boot, I wanted the Zen Artistry arrangement with lilies, orchids, bamboo, etc. He said he doesn't know if they have the flowers but he would check. On hold I go and less than a minute later, he comes back and says THEY HAVE THE FLOWERS for that particular arrangement and it will be delivered on Mother's Day! Ummm. yeah, that happened! Overall a good job. They delivered as promised, on time on a Sunday afternoon. The flowers were mostly as ordered, with one small exception. Four small table centerpieces plus one central buffet arrangement were ordered. The small arrangements were adequate and as described, but the central arrangement looked very sparse with too much greenery/filler and too few flowers. That said, the flowers were fresh, the cost reasonable, and the service was attentive and much friendlier and accommodating than nearby Bethesda Florist who invited a visit and then stated that they were too busy. read more

I was extremely unhappy with not only the quality of my order but also the time it arrived. I paid the extra fee for delivery before 1pm...the flowers arrived at 2:05pm, AFTER my event had already started. And I was MOST disappointed in the size of the "premium" arrangement --- especially considering the $75 price tag. I realize that pictures online sometime differ from what you get in real life but c'mon....it was barely half the size of how it appeared on the website. Literally, among the best florists I have ever used. Highly recommend. (I don't understand why their ranking on yelp is not higher -- their floral arrangements are very high quality -- and their prices are reasonable (well, I am a NY'er -- so maybe my pricing views are distorted -- but my quality review should be spot on). Fabulous florist - if you like to spend a few minutes picking out cut flowers and making yourself a one-of a kind bouquet (guys, it's not rocket science...go the extra step) then use them. Here's the kicker, you get 50% off cut flowers starting Friday afternoon - it makes the place stupid cheap. As for the prices, I don't see what others are saying about it being pricey, I think they're pretty standard and if you get the 50% off deal, its a complete steal. The good- high quality flowers and item was where it was supposed to be on time. The bad-spoke to one of the male designers about graduation wrist lei. My requirement was it was to be red, white and blue in color. Ribbons could be used as a substitute if red or blue flower not available- although we spoke of many flowers that could be used. I left the phone call not knowing what flower/ribbon combination would be used but was assured it would be red, white and blue. When my daughter picked up her $50 lei, it was purple and white not red, white, and blue as discussed. I have previously used York Flowers near by and should have for this. Took the convenient route as University advertised easy pick up on campus for Chevy Chase. Would encourage others to consider other florists in area that actually follow thru on design discussed over phone. read more
