Let me set the scene: It had been a long day on the lake. A phone was lost in its murky depths, over reacting was occurring and spirits were low to say the least. Alas, pizza was in our sun burned and slightly dehydrated future... because what can pizza not fix?! (Besides a submerged and never to be found again iPhone...) I popped online to see who delivered to our airBnB-- and wouldn't you know it, Chevy's did! I went to their website and ordered seamlessly. We got a cheese, pepperoni, Hawaiian (with house made Canadian Bacon) and the true star of the show, The Ruebens -- Corned Beef with 1000 Island sauce as the base and loads of sour kraut. DELISH. I found pricing to be steep. $14 for a 12" cheese with thin crust? That being said, it came within the hour, the order was correct and the pizza was piping hot. And while the overall vibe of our group was still 'whoa is me the lake ate mom's phone' -- Chevy's brightened our mood and filled our bellies. This was hands down the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. I had very low expectations going in. Cuz let's face it GF pizzas are a hit or miss. The crust was crispy, not hard or gummy. Great chew and flavor. The toppings were top notch and flavorful. We got bacon, ham, sausage, pepperoni and fresh garlic. You have to get it with fresh garlic! Cheese was great. It was piping hot when we picked it up. The naked wings were simply seasoned, juicy and flavorful. We are only here for a week or so. Plan to reorder before we leave. We got two GF pizzas for three and could not eat the second one. The person who took my order was nice, too. They sounded super busy. Pizza claimed $9 for a small, was charged $12, plus an upsell on a garlic cheesy sauce that was over powering and gross without knowing it cost $2 for this ramekin of sauce in a plastic to go cup. Chevy's made our first night in Osage Beach very memorable!! It was late, and we just got in town. Even though the kitchen was closed Bret, the owner prepared our pizza and wings! Sweetest people, we talked to him and our waitress Amy quite a bit, and just loved them. Pizza was great, perfect crispy crust, and the wings omg!!! There was lots of meat and so crispy!! Make sure to ask for the pizza crack, you'll be glad you did! Adjacent to Chevy's is Ford's (non-smoking) that just opened a few weeks ago. Great environment, fun atmosphere. My FAVORITE food place at the lake!! AL's Wings are a MUST.....! Dry rubbed and always hot, they have never let me down. The pizza is also a must..thin, crispy, and loaded with fresh toppings! This is not a family friendly place and it is not a restaurant in any sense of the word. This is a hole in the wall bar that apparently has a small metal pizza oven and a deep fryer. Kudos to whoever posted the pictures because it fooled me and my wife. I tried to give them a chance and asked the guy what beers they had on tap. He looked at me like I was an asshole and said "Well we have most of the domestics and a spattering of others but only cans." By the way there is a $10 minimum if you want to use a debit card. We were super excited to try this place especially because it's veteran owned and I'm a vet. I have limited mobility due to my knee so we were excited when it said they delivered. The lady who answered the phone asked for the address, then she said where's that (which according to gps was 6 miles away), then she says nope we aren't delivering at the moment but if you come in I'll give you a free beer. If I wanted to drive I would have hopped my happy ass in the car and headed there. I wear a knee brace and it's a struggle to get in places especially when I'm in pain. Don't advertise you deliver if you don't, and don't ask for an address and then decide you don't deliver. How that looks is either A. You don't want to be bothered, B. You are too lazy o deliver, or C. It's a marketing thing to get people to call you offer them free beer and then they come in. I'm a business owner and I actually do what I tell my customers I will. That's called backing up what you say. I understand that shit happens like no driver, someone called off, etc however that isn't what happened.
