From the road, Chez Café appears to be nothing more than a typical low end type of drive through place which you would think would have a divey interior along with low end truck stop food, but you'd be wrong. It is in fact a very nice super friendly café serving various sandwiches, wraps, salads and desserts which all have that extra special caring homemade touch about them. It's a neighborhood hang wherein most of the wait staff know the patrons and a good number of the patrons know the wait staff. Hence, they are not only super friendly to their regulars to possibly even more so to someone, in this case me, who they didn't recognize. You really couldn't ask for a more friendly accommodating staff, a more relaxed atmosphere or a café with a better Wi-Fi system; be sure to ask for the password. I went for the Turkey Apple Swiss with their homemade raspberry sauce, and I'm glad I did. It was a sandwich superlative in freshness, flavor and taste; one of the best ever. Found this place, and it had a mix of good/bad reviews. Decided to take a chance! Walked in and the ladies were very friendly. Sat anywhere we wanted and ordered the acai bowl, iced cappuccino, brie/bacon quiche and Cuban sandwich lunch combo. The quiche was warm with lots of good layers of brie, flaky pastry, and bacon in it. The Cuban sandwich was tasty and big for a half portion. The acai bowl had lots of fruit and granola in it, was very smooth, and could be easily shared. The iced cappuccino was a 16 oz and plenty for one person. The blond lady in other people's reviews was there, but she was quiet and did speak to a few known patrons. The servers were very attentive and helpful. It was a bit pricey for 2 people, $47, for lunch. The prices are different than what's on the menu. I ordered the lunch combo which was 8.99 on the in-house menu, but the online menu says it's 10.99. I can see why the reviews are so mixed since their menu is not accurate in the restaurant. I looked for the soup selections and it wasn't on the menu either, but the server knew the selections and told me what was available. Overall, it was nice environment with a cozy feel and good food, but I'd check the online menu pricing to be safe. I'll be back since I like all the menu options! read more

I frequent this location and have noticed a decline in taste and customer service. So after paying over $20 for breakfast I asked if potatoes came with my scrambled eggs and dry ass toast to which I was meant with a "no" . This place was so good that I brought my bf with me the next day. I ordered a breakfast panini with sliced turkey and it came with sautéed onions, peppers and cheese. The next day we both got breakfast burritos. I chose the tomato wrap with sliced turkey and my bf ordered a wheat wrap with turkey sausage. These came with the same sautéed onions, peppers and cheese. He also ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice that he claims was better than anything he's ever had. I don't like orange juice so I trust his judgement. The staff are super friendly, the food was hot and delicious and they are pet friendly! They even gave me puppers some treats while we waited. They have a table and chairs out front as well as a pretty little deck in the back under a flower tree. Inside is really eclectic and it looks like a great place to read a book or get some work done. Not the guy with a beard and Levi's... you know who I mean. Had a Breakfast croissant with Ham, Egg and Cheese which came out fast, but skinny ham and a tiny mini omelette egg and basic cheddar. ( Question on processed ham: Why can't any South Florida diners not just buy a whole ham and cut a chunk off, old school? I would drive 50 miles for that breakfast. ) The breakfast was served as a combo with standard American coffee in a big mug. The price for the Combo is about $5.50 plus I noticed a croissant up-charge, not got the bill yet. To be honest honest, the mug and ambiance has saved this from 3* and made it 4*. Please someone offer me a refill? (They received my subliminal request!) Would I go out of my way to come here, no. Would I come back, yes! The staff is super friendly, bright smiles on their faces, they both greeted me the second I walked in and wished me a good weekend as I left. You don't get that kind of service everywhere. I come here very often and Today I came in and I could tell they were rushed a little bit which I understand, but there is no excuse to grab my bagel twice with your bare hands and long acrylic nails which have so much bacteria.
