Overall, this place has been pretty consistent over the years. My family and I have been coming here for about 10 years, and they have updated the menu a bit over that time. Whenever my in-laws are in town, they always want to come here because they love diners. Even though I live here, I don't typically come unless they are visiting. The food is good, always fresh and prepared to order, but for me, it's nothing particularly special. With so many restaurants offering more variety and different flavors, this isn't somewhere I would go out of my way to visit. That said, my in-laws absolutely love it! Sandwiches are their favorite, although we have also come once or twice over the years for breakfast. They are from Jersey and love cheesesteaks, so they really enjoy the Philly here. The fries are thick and crispy, which is another plus. Service is always nice, and the restaurant is clean. They have both countertop seating and booths, and I like that they are open early and stay open late. Overall, it's a reliable diner with a menu that keeps my in-laws coming back. read more

What a treat this find was while driving back up north from Ft. Lauderdale. As we drove in we were immediately taken by the look. It was a silver diner reminiscent of Route 66. When you walk in you are transformed back to the diners my parents took us to as kids. And what's funny, it has that same diner smell. You know that, we make great hamburger" smells. Brought a tear to my eye. We went during breakfast time. My wife had their Benny. She is kind of an eggs Benedict snob, she when she says it was good, you can take that to the bank. Frankly, her face lit up, so I knew. I went old school with some eggs and bacon. Good stuff. The coffee was a hit for sure. And hash browns were perfect. Crispy outside, soft inside. What was really cool is the family atmosphere. We came in and it was like Norm coming into Cheers. Like they were happy to see us. Then some chats in between coffee plus made us feel right at home. Being from NJ, diners are a staple. Before heading to Miami, I wanted to stop and grab a bite to eat before departing in my cruise. Moonlite popped up as a favored suggestion and said hey, why not?? Glad I made the choice! First thing I noticed is that it was packed and that's always a great sign. Staff were friendly and cleaned a table off quickly for us. Lastly, food was phenomenal. Grits were made to perfection. They gave great portion sizes as well, couldn't even finish the whole omelette. The look and feel of an old style diner is spot on so 5 stars there. Service is prompt and friendly. Four stars here. I ordered the two eggs platter. Comes with buscuit and hash browns witha choice of meat, I went for the bacon. Scrambled eggs were good. Buscuit was warm and soft in the middle and firmer on the outside as it should be. Hash browns should be a bit more crunchy and the bacon was a little brittle. The four slices were small so it is more like two regular size slices. So that gets a two stars. $9.95 is a good price though. If in the area I'll come back again to hopefully raise my review an additional star. read more

Stepping in to this diner is like stepping in to the set of a movie; you half expect Sam Jackson to show up at any time! We had breakfast: hungry man for me, and it was delicious. The pancakes were the highlight of my meal; soft but hearty and yummy to the last bite! Complementing it all was the great service provided by Kristin, who made sure my mug never ran out of steaming coffee and was absolutely professional and friendly. It was almost noon, yet I wanted breakfast. I am always driving past Moonlite Diner, telling myself one day I'm gonna stopped there and have some breakfast...well, today is that day. I appreciate diners that offers all day breakfast. With me not being much of an early bird, I don't have to feel the pressure of eating between the normal breakfast hours. Upon entering the diner, I was greeted by the server who led me to an available booth. The diner definitely had that early 80s vibe with retro pictures and signs along the walls. I took a few minutes to overlook the menu as the server came back with my drink. I saw that they have French toast on the menu, but if I wanted anything with it, (eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, etc) it's an additional charge for each....that's messed up. Not wanting to take up too much time, I ordered the French toast and added eggs...just because. When the food arrived a few minutes later, I started with the eggs which was scrambled nicely. Added some salt and pepper for flavor and was enjoying every bite. The French toast was alright. It didn't have that cinnamon flavor that I absolutely love and I also noticed that the bread was not coated in egg batter....which is the main part of making French toast. Why make something if you're not gonna make it right?! I originally was gonna give this review two stars, but the eggs was delicious, the service was satisfactory, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I came here for a birthday breakfast for my daughter and we had a great experience. This is an old fashioned diner with old school decor and great service. Our waitress Sarah was super sweet and even made the staff sing to my daughter for her birthday. I ordered the hot fudge milkshake which was amazing and the hungry man. The servers were nice while I waited and they were cleaning which was nice to see they weren't just sitting since they were so empty. I like the look of old school dinner just had a cool vibe. I got a Reuben sandwich that was really got although a little small and has a side of tater tots. Everything was delicious. Went yesterday for the first time with my cousins. The waitress was very friendly from Long Guyland. Three of us come from towns near where she was from. Anyway, back to the place and the food. The restaurant is definitely very vintage and has a great, homey vibe with booth seating and counter like the old days. Two of us ordered the cornbeed reubens, and two shared a casear salad and veggie burger. My reuben was truly delicious. The meat was like real corned beef, not the pre-sllced kind that often comes from lunch spots who buy from restaurant supply vendors. It was served on marble rye toast with sauerkraut, swiss cheese and thousand-island dressing. It came with coleslaw and fries. The fries were delicious too. It was a truly satisfying lunch and I would definitely return if Im in the area again. What a nice surprise it was to check it out and have such a lovel experience. read more

This afternoon I ate at the Moonlite Diner after a 14 year absence. As there was no hostess to seat me, soI sat at the counter. My server, Teena R., apologize for the inconvenience. She was a very good server. I ate the Club Sandwich with real mayo. I have not had a Club in years, especially one with real mayo! The sandwich was delicious, and huge! The French Fries were just okay, probably frozen from a bag. I had Apple Pie with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and whip cream for dessert. The ice cream was really good! The apple inside the pie tasted great. I did not care for the taste of the crust. The ambiance of the diner, itself, was very authentic to olden days. So, when you go, ask for Teena R. as your food server, because she is the best, in my opinion. She was attentive and very hospitable! Christmas Day breakfast at 230pm Stephanie, our server in her Christmas pajamas was too cute. The staff is extremely friendly from the cute hostesses to the jolly manager. The food was good and hot. My daughter had a sirloin that was a hefty size and cooked to perfection, my friend had grits, and she was amazingly pleased, and I had the country fried steak. Everything was cooked to perfection. After coming here at least a dozen times, I figured I was about due for at least a quick review. The staff is always friendly, the food is always good and fresh, and the prices are always reasonable. Never any complaints I can think of. In particular I recommend their CB hash, but all their breakfasts are very good. I couldn't believe that I found a diner in South Florida, growing up in the north east diners were on every corner, pretty much, but not here in South Florida. I've only found another one in South Beach. But there I say that this one that I found in Broward county is a real authentic diner with the diner menu I was so excited, I have to come back to try all the other dishes. I was here for a lunch meeting so this extremely delicious chef salad with grilled salmon on was cooked so perfectly the salmon was tender and fresh. It was so so good guys. We had the most amazing server, she was so cool and friendly and knowledgeable and had really cool topics to chat about. I had a really great time chatting with her. Actually, our entire group did she was fantastic. The ambience the diner was straight out of a 1950s movies. It has been preserved so perfectly well it is so beautiful it's a treat to the eyes. I went here with a friend on a Sunday evening. The first thing I noticed was the strong Clorox smell. I guess the smell of cleanliness is better than one of dirt. The place is cute, looking like an old style diner with interesting artwork and decorations and cozy booths. The server was polite, accommodating, and somewhat attentive but not consistently. I wanted a croissant and egg but without meat, so instead of giving me one for a lesser price, they gave me one with a lot of eggs! The croissant was a little bit on the burnt side, so it wasn't especially good. My friend enjoyed her meal, and comes here quite a bit, so maybe I caught the place on an off night. My family and I used to come to Moonlight consistently for breakfast. I worked only 3 minutes away and would often come have lunch with co-workers. I loved coming here for years. However, at some point (maybe around the pandemic) they completely dumbed down their menu and the quality of the food is horrific compared to what it used to be. The menu had so many options and was several pages. Now, it a one sheeter. I feel like this place has commercialized. Most of the food you order is frozen food they just heat up. The portion size is now a fraction of what you used to get and the cost is more expensive. Nothing is the same if you are looking for a very basic diner experience with a cool vibe, then this is the place for you. We came here hoping for a good diner meal , my husband ordered the patty melt which was supposed to be as the menu and WEBSITE BOTH SAY (handcrafted) . They are in fact not , the waitress informed us after receiving our order that they were frozen due to a new vendor. Definitely need to update the menu and website. The waitress could have informed us that the menu was outdated. The cb and eggs barely had peppers and the hash browns were burnt. The best biscuits. Can't go wrong with anything that has a biscuit in it. This diner has all the comforts of a good diner. Good fast to the point service where the food comes out in about 10 minutes and the food is oh so good. I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs over medium. When I forked through the Bisquits and gravy I didn't know where the just perfectly thick gravy, and the perfectly fluffy biscuit ended or started. It was so good!
