I tried this place for the first time with a couple of friends. When I looked up the place online, I saw that it's a chain with several locations. We noticed that they have a pretty extensive menu for a coffee shop, but they do close at 3pm (at least the Pompano location). Their website says their hours are 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM -7 days/week. You order and pay on a computer that's on the counter. I'm not a tech person, but was able to do this easily, with just one question that my friend was able to answer. It asked what your place holder was, and they have different place holders to choose from like Dolly Parton and other famous actors. I ordered a croissant with egg, cheese, and bacon. It was a good size and quite tasty, and was approximately $12 and change. They of course, have a tip option or obligation as most places do these days. The place felt cozy, and had a sofa and some tables with chairs. They played music, but it wasn't too distracting when you are talking, if I was trying to study, it may have been. Overall, my friends and i liked the place and would come here again. read more

Cute space for a coffee shop. The breakfast egg sandwiches were good- something so simple but hard to find and the coffees were good as well. The coffee cake was my least favorite. The Nutella croissant wasn't too bad just too much Nutella for me which is kind of weird for me to say bc I love Nutella. It is overpriced though, all these up charges sneak up on you and it's not mentioned when you're ordering. It was our first time here but when I looked at the itemized receipt I realized how things quickly added up. Good place to meet up or even study if you don't need absolute quiet. read more

As soon as you walk in you notice the relaxing decor. However, when I walked in the staff didn't greet us but Geovana was very sweet once I spoke to her. I ordered from the monitor but noticed that the customization option was wayy more expensive than the pre selected option. However, I customized a toast almost the same way as the pre selected option and it cost $20 but when I selected the pre selected option it came out to be $12. I choose the pre selected option to save on the orders. My mom ordered the avocado toast with a cappuccino for a drink. She said that she liked her order. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich with the tiramisu latte. I did enjoy the sandwich and it gets you super full. The tiramisu latte was good but it wasn't as sweet as I wanted it to be. For dessert my mom ordered the Nutella croissant and I ordered the blueberry muffin. This place was very relaxing. This food was ok and I wish my drink had cold foam and a bit sweeter. The parking is free and near the restaurant. read more

I love this place. Fairly quiet ambiance and very nicely decorated inside. Friendly service staff. The food and drinks were awesome. Had a specialty coffee along with snack. Met up with a couple of friends and the seating were comfortable and we stayed for over an hour. Overall, a very nice experience. read more

Carmel's is one of my go to coffee shops. The staff here is very sweet. The services quick and the coffees are always on point. I've been loving the seasonal toasted marshmallow latte. The girls at the desk were so helpful. I asked their favorite drinks on the menu and they guided me based on my preferences. The toast was delicious. I did not expect it to be so big, so loaded, so thick and stunning. The croissant was also plenty and filling and the flavors of both dishes work together perfectly. I love the coffee and food, as well as smoothly here at Carmela Coffee Company on Pompano Beach! The coffee is always strong but smooth, and I drink it black, hot or iced. Horrible experience with customer service. I placed an order on Uber Eats and the order was accepted but then the driver, not even the store, calls me to tell me they don't have what I ordered. So I call the store and ask them to please cancel the order on their end bc if I do I will get charged since they accepted the order. The girl passes me to the manager named Brian and he proceeds to tell me that he can't do it and I have to and I can just call them. So I explain to him that because they accepted the order if I cancel it will now charge me and there is no way to speak to someone on the phone as this happened to me in the past. He proceeds to tell me that he has someone he can speak to so I might have to wait a while but I can call myself. So I try that and sure enough I get charged for the order bc I canceled after the restaurant accepted the order and I try to call but cannot get through to anyone so I call back Carmela's hoping for assistance from Brian as this is all due to them not having the item in stock and accepting the order. And since he said he had a number he can call and can speak to someone was hoping he could help and call. Three different times it rings for a while then someone answers and when I request Brian or a manager I'm told no one is there and they hang up, then the two other times they also hang up after I request to speak to Brian. Really horrible service. Brian is clearly not fit for a service role of any kind and seems is teaching his team to follow suit. Really disappointing as I was seeking their assistance during to an issue created by them. I'll never be going back here again and will make sure to share this with anyone I know in pompano area bc to treat a customer seeking help this way is wrong. read more

Decided to come in for a quick breakfast before running errands while in town. The service was quick and great. The cashier was very helpful when we had a couple of questions with this being our first time in. While this is a cafe the food offerings are amazing and there's enough variety for everyone to find something they enjoy. My friend got a sandwich on a croissant and it was a great portion. They do dice the bacon so your our bound to get some in every bite. I had a chicken and a chorizo empanada and loved them. They were hot through with a nice crunchy crust. My iced latte was also amazing abd the espresso was flavorful. This is a great casual breakfast that can work for the whole family although seating can seem limited during peak times so it is not great for large groups. read more

Love this cute little coffee shop. We like to stop by every so often to work and grab a quick bite. The coffee isn't bitter like lot of places , the atmosphere is soft and welcoming. It is tucked away in a shopping area which doesn't fit the overall aesthetic of the space so when you're in, you feel transformed into this comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. It was only OK. The lox and cream cheese was on a boring bagel that wasn't even toasted. The iced lattes were not that good. Only had one bathroom and had to ask at the counter for a key fob to get in. Pretty much a forgettable place when deciding where to go for breakfast or coffee. read more

Carmela's is the cutest coffee shop. They have little pastries and breakfast choices. I ordered a chocolate chip muffin and a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. Both came out warm and fresh! The bacon egg and cheese was so crispy and I loved how the bacon was almost chopped like bacon bits. I also ordered an iced latte which tasted incredible! I signed up for their rewards program and received 20% off my first order which was great! Only thing I will mention is the ac could have been set a little lower because it was pretty warm with little air flow. But that's if you choose to sit inside or maybe it was just set like this for today. But food is amazing! Prices were reasonable, and the ambiance is great too! Mini games like tik tac toe and jenga is great for kids if you need to work or anything else. Enjoyed it very much. read more

Came to Carmela Coffee for breakfast with Mom and I absolutely enjoyed it! Carmela has such a beautiful decor, very laid back and cozy atmosphere. The decor really sets Carmela, love how relaxed and chill the vibe is here. I am more of a sweet Tooth, so for breakfast I ordered the Nutella crossiants with Iced coffee. I most definitely enjoyed it, it was served warm and paired with my Hazelnut Iced coffee it was quite a simple and enjoyable breakfast. There were sooo many enticing choices on the menu so I picked the crispy bacon and brie sandwich. I would've liked more brie than bacon, but the portion was very filling. We return here frequently. The shop has plenty of parking and you can sit inside or out. It does only have one restroom, but is clean and organized. The esthetic is pleasing and layout is wide enough for wheelchairs. You can sit at high top tables, couches or chairs. The service is ok. Some members are friendly, but they deliver your order and never check in on the guest. The brownie and carrot cake is delicious! I highly recommend either. I usually order a latte. Choose your flavor, but the Vanilla and Carmel is tasty. read more

Wanted to find a coffee spot for a quick energy jolt before the day and sis and I found @carmela.coffee ! We originally were going to just get coffee but everything looked so good we couldn't resist! The ambiance is great and it was an amazing place to meet up with friends, do some work/school, or just have a good meal. I had a breakfast sammie and lavender honey iced latte and sis had a caramel latte and a salmon cream cheese bagel that may have been one of the best things I've eaten lately! Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and checked on us throughout our meal. The décor is beautiful, with dark green tones that create a stylish, inviting atmosphere. The only thing that felt a little unusual was someone coming around taking photos of diners and then offering them for purchase, but we simply declined. Overall, the entertainment and outdoor atmosphere were enjoyable, but I wouldn't return for dinner. The menu is fairly limited, and with fewer options, I expected each dish to really stand out. Unfortunately, the food and service just didn't live up to those expectations. If you're looking for good music and a fun Saturday night vibe, the event is worth checking out, but I wouldn't go for the dining experience alone.

What really crossed the line was when she said, "If I see you passing food between tables, we'll stop serving you." That comment was unnecessary, disrespectful, and completely inappropriate. We were paying customers, not asking for free food or special treatment. There's a time and place to explain restaurant policies, but the way they were communicated made us feel unwelcome before we had even ordered. Hospitality is about making guests feel valued, and unfortunately, that was completely missing here. We chose to leave rather than spend our money somewhere we clearly didn't feel wanted. I enjoy how places like this makes certain activities, more accessible and modernize for an average person that wouldn't usually go to a full golf course or country club per se. There is something truly exhilarating about cracking the ball and seeing it fly onto the course.They have really fun games you can designate like Sonic or Angry Birds. The staff couldn't have been more lovely! Our initial bay had a faulty screen that they couldn't fix. They immediately moved us over to another bay and gave extended us 20 minutes for the inconvenience. We didn't order food, but we did order cocktails. They were just okay. I highly recommend making a reservation coming during the day versus night because the price point is drastically different by day and time. We came on a Saturday from 12-2 and paid $40 for up to six people. The check in experience is phenomenal through their app. If you're looking to try something new on the weekend, check them out!

Carmela's Coffee is a very cute café with beautiful decor and a really nice atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly, and the place has a cozy vibe that makes it a great spot to sit down for breakfast or coffee. Our experience was a bit mixed overall, but everything tasted fresh and high quality. The matcha latte had a nice earthy flavor and tasted good, but it was unsweetened and came in a to-go cup instead of a mug, which was a little disappointing since we were dining in. We also tried one of their specialty fruity teas -- the flavor was definitely there, but it wasn't sweet at all. Thankfully there was sugar on the table so we were able to adjust it to our taste. For food, the salmon toast was delicious and fresh, but I would have liked a bit more cucumber for better balance. The shakshuka was very good, flavorful and nicely cooked, and probably our favorite dish of the meal. Overall, Carmela's is a lovely little café with great ambiance, quick service, and good quality ingredients. A few small details could be improved, but it's still a nice spot worth visiting. read more

Tried Carmela Coffee for the first time recently and left pretty impressed. It's the kind of spot that feels easy to settle into, whether you're just grabbing coffee or hanging out for a bit. Service stood out right away--friendly, relaxed, and not pushy. They checked in at the right times and seemed to actually care about the experience, which I always notice. I ordered a coffee and a breakfast item, and both were really solid. The coffee was smooth and well balanced, and the food tasted fresh and not overly heavy. It didn't feel like generic café food, which was a nice surprise. Prices felt reasonable for the quality, and everything came out quicker than expected without feeling rushed. Absolutely love this coffee shop! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for working or relaxing. The coffee is top-notch--smooth, rich, and always fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly and provides excellent service, making every visit a great experience. They also have delicious pastries and a great selection of drinks--highly recommend trying the Carrot and Lemon Cakes! This has quickly become my go-to spot. Can't wait to come back! read more

Cute little coffee shop. I'm a regular customer of their store in Parkland and was so happy to hear they would open a new location in Pompano. They sell really good coffee from Costa Rica and their Avocado toasts are the best. They also sell muffins, croissants, empanadas and desserts. The ambience is homey and modern, perfect to work or to meet friends. I recommend their white chocolate mocha and the caprese avocado toast. read more
