Cozy, modern café with comfortable seating, making it a popular place for meeting friends, working remotely, or studying. High-quality coffee made from the company's Costa Rican farm-to-cup beans. Excellent all-day brunch menu featuring avocado toasts, shakshuka, breakfast croissants, açaí bowls, salads, and artisan pastries. Friendly staff and a warm, inviting atmosphere are frequently mentioned by guests. Popular menu items Vanilla Cinnamon Latte Matcha Latte Salmon & Cream Cheese Toast Burrata & Prosciutto Avocado Toast Shakshuka Croissant Breakfast Sandwich Oreo Donut and fresh pastries Things to keep in mind Prices are a little higher than a typical coffee shop, especially once add-ons are included. During busy mornings, seating can fill up quickly. While most guests praise the coffee, a few reviewers feel some espresso drinks can be inconsistent or not strong enough for their taste. Best for Specialty coffee Brunch and healthy breakfast Remote work or studying (Wi-Fi and comfortable seating) Casual coffee dates or catching up with friends If you're in the Pompano Beach area and want more than just a cup of coffee, Carmela is one of the better choices. The inviting atmosphere and quality brunch menu make it worth a visit, even if it's a bit pricier than your average café. A+

This is a really cute coffee shop with lots of comfy seats and couches. They also have outdoor seating, which was nice because we could enjoy the fresh air while sipping on our drinks. I got the matcha latte and it was really good, sweet just how I like it. If you prefer your matcha really earthy, this might not be for you, but it was perfect for me. We also got an Oreo donut that was really good and had a cream cheese filling. The workers were super nice and quick with our order even though the place was really busy. We will definitely be back!

Super cute ambience but very limited seating indoors. You ordered through a screen, even though there's people behind the counter just looking at you lol it can be a little bit weird but definitely convenient to order off the screen. I tried the tiramisu iced coffee and it was really good. If you're going for a coffee taste, you should probably avoid this, but I really liked it. The brie and bacon sandwich was pretty good as well. I did like the bacon jam. For the price point, I felt like there could've been more, but overall, I did enjoy the sandwich. I would like to be back to try more lattes.

Carmela Coffee Ordered the Tiramisu lattle and Matcha for me The place looked packed, and the interior looked clean The staff that day looked kinda mean The tiramisu latte had a dark and bitter taste Mixed it well, then you can enjoy it with grace The matcha latte, became very expensive fast Cuz everything is a serious upcharge blast Just to swap the dairy, and add liquid sugar Was about another 2 dollars But I won't complain because the matcha Was pretty good ya

I tried this place for the first time with a couple of friends. When I looked up the place online, I saw that it's a chain with several locations. We noticed that they have a pretty extensive menu for a coffee shop, but they do close at 3pm (at least the Pompano location). Their website says their hours are 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM -7 days/week. You order and pay on a computer that's on the counter. I'm not a tech person, but was able to do this easily, with just one question that my friend was able to answer. It asked what your place holder was, and they have different place holders to choose from like Dolly Parton and other famous actors. I ordered a croissant with egg, cheese, and bacon. It was a good size and quite tasty, and was approximately $12 and change. They of course, have a tip option or obligation as most places do these days. The place felt cozy, and had a sofa and some tables with chairs. They played music, but it wasn't too distracting when you are talking, if I was trying to study, it may have been. Overall, my friends and i liked the place and would come here again.

Cute space for a coffee shop. The breakfast egg sandwiches were good- something so simple but hard to find and the coffees were good as well. The coffee cake was my least favorite. The Nutella croissant wasn't too bad just too much Nutella for me which is kind of weird for me to say bc I love Nutella. It is overpriced though, all these up charges sneak up on you and it's not mentioned when you're ordering. It was our first time here but when I looked at the itemized receipt I realized how things quickly added up. Good place to meet up or even study if you don't need absolute quiet.

I love this place. Fairly quiet ambiance and very nicely decorated inside. Friendly service staff. The food and drinks were awesome. Had a specialty coffee along with snack. Met up with a couple of friends and the seating were comfortable and we stayed for over an hour. Overall, a very nice experience.

    Toasted Marshmallow Latte

Carmel's is one of my go to coffee shops. The staff here is very sweet. The services quick and the coffees are always on point. I've been loving the seasonal toasted marshmallow latte. It's very delicious and not too sweet. The cold foam is marshmallow flavored. The presentation of the coffee is great as well

As soon as you walk in you notice the relaxing decor. However, when I walked in the staff didn't greet us but Geovana was very sweet once I spoke to her. I ordered from the monitor but noticed that the customization option was wayy more expensive than the pre selected option. However, I customized a toast almost the same way as the pre selected option and it cost $20 but when I selected the pre selected option it came out to be $12. I choose the pre selected option to save on the orders. My mom ordered the avocado toast with a cappuccino for a drink. She said that she liked her order. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich with the tiramisu latte. I did enjoy the sandwich and it gets you super full. The tiramisu latte was good but it wasn't as sweet as I wanted it to be. For dessert my mom ordered the Nutella croissant and I ordered the blueberry muffin. This place was very relaxing. This food was ok and I wish my drink had cold foam and a bit sweeter. The parking is free and near the restaurant.

Cute cafe with a nice couch area and games. The vanilla cold brew was strong. They have salad and pastry options. It was busy at noon on a Tuesday with not many available tables. Free parking is available in the lot right out front.

I really like Carmela Coffee Pompano, is one of my favorite places!! had a super fruity tea (I think that's what it's called) and a cake slice, everything was amazingg and full of flavor. Also the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive! Actually it is a must-visit for anyone!

Matcha! Yum! Pricey but good. Great date spot.

Excellent coffee and light breakfast spot. A bit pricey but on par with Starbucks! Pretty presentation, decent service. Not quick as it's hand made. Good to study, read, saw several folks with laptops working. It's not super quiet but definitely good dates, meeting, chat spot. Some outdoor seating! It's not large, so I could see seating getting hard to find. We went at 8am!

The scrambled eggs looked like a toddler made them. Its not hard to do scrambled eggs. I was pretty disappointed in how they came out. I was on limited time so I let it go.

At that point with nowhere to even stand and no one even checking in with us to see if we wanted we left. My mom said "che horrore" which i don't think you need a translator to understand. Soooooooooo maybe the cafe has good cappuccini and cornetti but I'll never know cause the vibes were NOT IT. In the future if you're doing a sports event gathering maybe put a sign outside?

I tried a few pastries and loved how buttery, soft, and flavorful they were. If you're a bakery lover, this part alone makes the visit worthwhile. The desserts and pastries feel a bit upscale, and you can expect about a 15-20% price bump compared to similar cafés. The space itself is small, and it's really more of a grab‑and‑go spot than a place to sit and relax. There's no free tap water, so you're required to purchase bottled drinks, which may be a downside for some. The service was somewhat slow, though the staff was attentive once they engaged. However, the overall vibe wasn't very welcoming. A few long‑time customers seemed frustrated and even got up to complain after being ignored for a while, which was noticeable. Yummy pastries. Didn't see any stellar food. Our food was just average. We felt Café Brie on Atlantic had better food, but Chez has great pastries. Because of the limited seating, lack of water, and the uneven service experience, I'm not sure I'd choose to dine in. No way this stuff wasn't pre-made a while ago. Oh yeah, part of a banana and one strawberry. Despite what the waiter said, I could tell everything was pre-made. It's about the same quality as the free "continental breakfast" most cheap hotels offer except at the hotel it's still warm and you get refills on coffee and the waffle is freshly made and hot enough to melt butter. No free refills on coffee here unless you buy their "pour over," and then you get one small refill. The strainer for the coffee was stained and filthy when it was brought out, so they're not using fresh ones or even cleaning thoroughly between uses. GF had a meatless omelet and a smoothie. Her omelet was hot so obviously it was made fresh unlike mine. I told the waiter my food was cold and he swore he saw them "take it out of the oven," but nothing I ordered would be cooked in any over other than a microwave oven. Total bill for two: $60+. This was with a 30% discount on my plate for my food being served cold.
