Food is good. CASH ONLY! Place is clean. Loud but ok. So the food is in hot pans. You pick your combination. While it was nice to have some down home Haitian cooking prepped by someone else (lol) the food gets a "good" rating. The griot was good. Rice and beans ok. Chicken DELICIOUS! Morue good. Blé brought me back to my childhood. Good! Bannann was ok. Weird stale oil smell. All in all. Good food. I would recommend to anyone one passing by and doesn't want to put in the effort to make all that food from scratch. The one HUGE drawback is service. Koooobaba. Rude. Rude. Rude. I came in with my elderly parents. The staff was just so impatient and rude. It was sad to see. That's not how we Haitians treat older folks in general. I would never treat someone who is older or hard of hearing like that. Sad. Bad. Rude!!!! So. If you can get past that. Go for it. I will likely return and have my parents stay in the car. The place is small. Noisy. But overall worth the food. Remember. CASH ONLY. And don't ask too many questions .

Cash Only!- This Haitian Takeout restaurant has the best tasting Haitian cuisine I have tasted. Their prices are very reasonable with such big portions. The owner is such a sweet heart and always has a smile on his face. The ambiance when you walk in makes you feel like you in Haiti. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

I was feeling for some good Haitian food and decided to order from here. I ordered from Uber eats and got a discount so it came up to the normal price for the meal which is $10! Which is amazing because you get alot of food. The food was very tasty. The more was well seasoned. It was alittle on the dry side but the gravy made up for it when I poured it all over the food. The rice and beans was also very tasty and my favorite was the fries plantains. Everything was really good and I will definitely have food here again and maybe try some of their other options!

    Terrible griot

Terrible! Ordered 2 griot. Not only was it a very small portion, apparently it had been sitting for some time and was hard and dry. Some pieces were greasy and grayish. I gave 2 stars because the plantains were good as was the rice. I will stick to Chez Nouz. This restaurant should be ashamed.

My absolute favorite Haitian spot, cheap prices, great portions. Service is quick, they only take cash, no room to eat.

Discovering an elevated Caribbean experience so close to home was definitely a win for summer 2026…read moreshenanigans. We brunched at Kekoon for a birthday celebration. For $60, their brunch offers unlimited drinks and food. I dont know what I expected but the quality and flavor of the food caught me off guard. The Jamaican spread was delicious. From jerk chicken and pork to pepper shrimp, oxtail and dumplings. The pepper shrimp is a must try! Brunch drinks were Bellinis, mimosas, margaritas and rum punch. Pro tip: mix the Bellini with a little rum punch and thank me later Chef Ricardo was an absolute darling, making rounds to our table, to ensure we were ok. I have to mention Michael, the manager, going above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed. He joined in on our birthday celebration and kept the vibe going with birthday shots. The DJ here was also incredible. Spinning hip hop, reggae, dancehall, soca, mixing it just right for the diverseness of the crowd. Hookah was also on point. A bit pricy but well made. The bathroom situation was a little disappointing. Two stalls in the female bathroom with only one working. Hopefully this is not a permanent situation and will be looked at soon. There is lots of free parking around the restaurant. Great food & good vibes

I saw hookah in the garden area and its mention that the brunch is great. I came in for the first time on a week evening for a late dinner. When we sat we noticed that the menu was small and had no prices . Yikes ! Anywho we decided to stay. For drinks we had the lychee dragonfruit margarita 10/10 and Hennessy rum punch 10/10 but they took forever to arrive to the table. For starters we had the lobster fritters which I was imagining something completely different. It was not terrible but I didn't enjoy it. For dinner I had the lobster and shrimp Alfredo pasta which was so flavorful. We also had the oxtail with white rice and plantain which the oxtail was tender and flavorful. Overall the service was a bit slow but the food was fresh and came hot to the table. For was also very good. However it is overpriced for some people as our bill was about $200

Island Tings in Miramar definitely delivered if you're craving real Caribbean comfort food…read more I ordered the curry chicken and it was exactly what you want from a spot like this. The chicken was tender, well seasoned, and soaked in that rich curry sauce. It came piled over rice with veggies and potatoes mixed in, and the flavors were deep and authentic. You can tell it's the kind of food that's been cooked slow and done right. The portions were solid too definitely a filling meal. Perfect if you're hungry and want something hearty. The restaurant itself has a cool island vibe inside with the beach murals and bright colors that make it feel relaxed and laid-back. The setup is simple cafeteria style, so you move down the line and pick what you want, which keeps things moving. If you're in Miramar and want real Caribbean flavors without the fuss, this spot is worth the stop. Good portions, flavorful food, and a chill atmosphere.

She said a few words in patois to the other woman. Next thing I know the other woman started preparing all the sides in a carry out container and then goes to the back for the jerk wings. The wings were dried out, hard and tasted like barbecue chicken instead of jerk wings. I threw them in the trash. Don't even bother putting an order in before cause you're gonna wait anyway. As the place was empty and two women working were talking at the bar I walked in and went to sit. One of the women asked if I was with the group and then told me I needed to wait to be seated. It was awkward. It was a bit rude. Most times it's not what you say, but how you say it. Maybe it's just me, but the waitress immediately informed me that three items weren't available, including biscuits and cornbread of some sort. As a first-timer, it was weird. Fortunately, everything got better from there. My first meal, regardless of time, needs to be breakfast-y. As I perused the weekday brunch menu via QR code (what if you don't have a phone?) I ordered a coffee and water. The water came quickly, but the coffee took its time. I ordered the Wafflette (don't you want to try things you can't get other places?) It came as pictured and was good. The syrup was quite watery and left a lot to be desired, but I really didn't need it. The star of this dish is the bacon. I could have bathed in this bacon. It was thick and chewy, such a nice compliment. I don't know if there are bar stools available and whether they set up center aisle seating when it's more crowded, but the restaurant appeared clean and well-kept. There were no rounds available when I went, so I don't know how they accommodate groups of 10+, I sat along the banquette that could accommodate two. I am very interested in returning to try the ox tails, which are available in two (or was it three) dishes on the menu. I look forward to revising my review then.
