Food is really, really good! I ordered the soup joumoun and the only thing that disappointed was that there was not enough pigtail or feet in there. Other than that, it was delicious. My husband is not Haitian and he loved the food. He's a hard person to please when it comes to certain foods and this hit the spot. His only complaint is that the wait was wayyyy too long. This mom and pop joint takes your palate to the next level. I got the goat and my girlfriend got the whole snapper. I was hesitant at first thinking the goat had been sitting out but the gentleman that was assisting us gave me a sample and let me tell you, it was exquisite. They are very warm and welcoming. I even asked for extra goat for my order, even though it was a very healthy portion. My girlfriend loved the food and their rice can be a stand alone dish. This will forever be a staple for me. So I first had good from here at a repast and had to have the name of the restaurant. Luckily for me it was located right by me! While looking through UberEats yesterday, I saw that they were offering free delivery. Win! Boy was I not disappointed. It reminded me of the first time I had it and my stomach was so happy. The griot (fried pork) was so delicious and flavorful. The rice was delicious and so were the fried plantains. The whole plate was delicious and as with most Haitian restaurants, they give you a lot of food. The only thing is I wish I would've ordered 2 pikliz instead of one! I know for next time though. I was feeling for some good Haitian food and decided to order from here. I ordered from Uber eats and got a discount so it came up to the normal price for the meal which is $10! Which is amazing because you get alot of food. The food was very tasty. The more was well seasoned. It was alittle on the dry side but the gravy made up for it when I poured it all over the food. I have been coming here for eight years. The food is always great, the staff is friendly, and they know you. Don't let complaints about waiting for perceived attitudes deter you. It is what it is. It was totally worth the 15-20 mins drive from our hotel on the boardwalk. My mom walked in and was in HEAVEN! I don't even know how the food is but the service is ridiculously terrible. - I called before coming to make sure they had what I wanted before coming. They said they did. I came. They did not. -The music is blasting. The woman taking orders can't hear. Rather than turning the music down, she just continues to say "ehhh?" -the woman taking orders spends 5 minutes with each customer. Its off of Pembroke Road and 441. When you walk through the door you have to take a number and what your turn until they call it. Like I said before it is really busy in the afternoon and especially on weekends, so plan to wait for about 20/30 minutes before they call your number. The food is really good. Guyto is so friendly and he cooks so good that your first time will not be your last. You'll come back for sure. This is the only place I'll eat haitian food at, other than my friend's mom's home cooked. *It's take out only. No tables. Parking can be tricky during busy lunch time but well worth it.
