I am always up for trying new cuisine and new places, especially being a foodie and Yelp elite. I had read that this place offered decent Haitian food, so I thought I would check it out. Food was available and despite the language barrier I got a decent dish. It tasted homely and pleasant and the portion was generous.

So I didn't feel like driving but wanted a good meal. I decided to give this place another try so I ordered Uber eats . The food arrived in a decent amount of time and was still warm. The rice was good, flavorful and it was a large amount. There was a good amount of griot and it was ok ..a few pieces were fried to hard though. The price was reasonable as well.

One of the worst chicken dinners I've had. Would not order again.I ordered chicken, not construction materials. If you're looking for protein and a workout for your jaw, this is the meal for you.

This place is 2 minutes from my house and I can never seem to make it in time before they close. I finally made it tonight and they did not disappoint! Service was good and our food came out in about 10 minutes. Tassot Kabrit, diri kole ak pwa rouj with plantain and soursop juice on the side This is the best fried goat I've had since I moved to Miramar. Thank you!! I'll definitely be back!

After taking our first creole class at the Miramar cultural center my boyfriend and I decided to try a new Haitian restaurant. We came to La Belle Jacemlienne and enjoyed everything about it. It was beautifully decorated both inside and outside with vibrant Haitian art and lovely artifacts. The ambiance was very romantic and gave us a nice taste of Haiti. We practiced our creole a bit when ordering our food. The food was delicious as we already expected. We plan on coming back here many more times!

This is my favorite restaurant in Miramar. It's the best decorated restaurant I've ever seen, & the mother daughter, granddaughter trio working on Jan 1 was adorable (seeing three generations) :-) This was the best Haitian food & soup JouMou that I've ever had, & im a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to Carib food ;-) The culture all through this place is really amazing to see. I was taken aback by the artwork, as it's very impressive, beautiful, & something you'd only see if you went to Haiti. The name Jacmel is a Taino word, & I love that Haitians honor their native people by keeping their original language alive. Much respect & admiration.

Great location and delicious food. I came on a Saturday evening to grab some takeout and there's was a few people waiting but it wasn't packed. I do highly recommend to order ahead since they cook the griot to order so it could take longer the wait if there some orders ahead of yours. The griot itself was really good, well seasoned and with good amount of fatty parts. The black rice was delicious and had a hint of spice. Fried green bananas were fried to perfection. The oxtail was tender and flavor, but I wish there was more on the plate for the price. Overall everything was excellent and I would be back.

Best Griot! Cooked to order. I love this place, always fresh ...it's definitely my guilty pleasure

Looking for a good Haitian restaurant? La Belle Jacmelienne Cade is by far one of the finest Haitian cuisines' in South Florida. I would recommend trying all of their selections, from the fried fish, to rice, soup, conch, turkey and much more. The customer service and hospitality that is received is exceptional! Every time I walk into this restaurant I feel very welcomed. I promise you will not be disappointed! Must give it a try.

Ummmm... it was okay. :/ Meaning the food was just okay. It just wasn't the best I've ever had. Would I come back? I would if I'm around the area. I chose the Groit with Rice and beans. Rice was good and the groit was ok, it really didn't have much flavor. Customer service was pleasant.

Tried this place for the first time today. Service was great. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I also bought a jar of pikliz. It is perfect for me - not too hot/spicy. I will be back

When you walk in you will be delighted to see so many beautiful Haitian paintings on the wall. The paintings are very impressive. Once the hostess came, we were seated right away. The place is huge. That night, there were 2 separate parties and the restaurant open at the same time. They played some good Haitian music, that Playlist had me wanting to dance. The music wasn't loud and it gave it a nice vibe. The place was well lit and not loud at all. Now for the food! The food is some of the best Haitian food I have had in the area. The akra for appetizers is a must. They give you a good amount and it was fried perfectly. For entrees we ordered the seafood legume and the fried red snapper. That snapper was so big I can only eat half. It had so much flavor and fried to a perfect crips. The fried plaintain was good and the pikliz had just the right amount of pepper. The seafood legume was also a hit. It was flavorful and spicy. They gave you a good amount of lanbi and crab, just wish they gave more vegetables. The rice and beans and the sos pwa goes perfect with the legume. I ordered the punch and it was good and strong. Could only drink one. I would come here again just to try their other dishes or to chill out with friends. The owner was very nice and stopped by all the tables to see how things were going. Come here if you want some good haitian food with good drinks. You won't be disappointed with the food.

The flavors were really hittin--not salty but definitely not lacking in flavor and complexity. So delicious The only criticism I would have from what I ordered is that the rice was ever so slightly undercooked which made it a bit dry. Other than that, everything was great. If you're looking for something unique to try at the Citadel, Manjay is worth a shot. They serve Haitian cuisine. Portions were generous and in general, the food was kind of heavy. Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.
