This place has gone downhill - It was real bad. My first experience was 5 stars - this is a negative star review. Let's collectively just not call it a restaurant anymore, it's fine. You go for the music, maybe an entertainer and to look cute. That is it. I promise you, if you expect something more you're gonna be real hurt. We waited 30 minutes at the hostess stand for someone to seat us. And there was a line behind us. If it wasn't already 10 PM I would have left. All the other employees just looked like - where the hostess at? No one did anything lol. Some clueless manager was finally like aiite where yall wanna sit? Like what? We waited... 1 hour for a drink to come out. and my MOCKTAIL came out 30 minutes after her cocktail. It was literally just juice I ordered. THEN they forgot about my coconut shrimp which came out 5 small quarter sized pieces for $25 and it was cold. I didn't even order anything else because they didn't have half of the items on the menu.

This restaurant was overpriced, understaffed, and extremely unorganized. We waited over 40 minutes just for drinks and more than an hour for our food and entrees weren't served together. They would bring out 1-2 plates at a time. Our waitress was polite, but she didn't know menu prices, drink prices, food quality, or whether happy hour existed. Nearly every question was met with "I don't know" and she would walk away to ask someone else only to return without answers. They were pushing a new menu with no prices listed, which is unacceptable. Pasta was $25, drinks were $20, and the shots were tiny and overpriced. The drinks themselves were not impressive enough to justify the cost. Only the outside seating was open, despite uncomfortable temperatures. We were eventually allowed inside after complaining. We were told the restaurant was under new management and that the menu had been given to staff the same day, which unfortunately showed in the service. The food did taste good but portion sizes were not worth the prices, and the music and vibe were nice, but not nearly enough to make up for the wait times, confusion, and pricing. I ordered jerk pasta which had a great base flavor. The oxtails were okay. Very small portion for the price and the rice and peas needed more flavor. Was a little overcooked. I would not return unless they get properly staffed, train their servers, and provide clear menus with pricing.

Beautifully decorated inside and out! Kekoon offers valet parking and ample self parking space. Security is present from checking bags at entrance and in moderation inside. The design of bar area to inside seating to patio seating shows the thought process behind the experience. Our party was present for a Bday celebration and were presented with seating options despite not having a reservation (initial spot did not follow up with that reservation and Kekoon was a great plan B). We opted to sit outside as the area had a DJ and was amenable to smoking. QR codes were placed on tables and a server also was present to answer questions. The main 4 star designation was due to discrepancy between menu on website and menu via QR code onsite. Also, many items were no longer available. I had already looked at menu (on website) and mentally ordered the tostones with crab meat appetizer and snapper filet meal. Unfortunately the snapper filet was not on QR menu! Smh. Opted for lobster sandwich with a side of festival. The tostones were good. I was advised by server that the crabmeat would be chilled and was still agreeable to try. It would have been better warmed, and the lobster sandwich was decent. Did not care for the fried lobster meat, but the taste was still good and festival was nice too. Others in my party had the oxtail pasta, oxtail meal with rice and peas, tequila salmon meal, and wings. We sampled each other's food selections and overall were good, but not anything that stood out as a must have. Drinks were good with the lychee martini and purple lotus being the favorites. Ambiance in general was lively, and everyone seemed to be celebrating - Bdays, pending nuptials & life in general! :-) The DJ added to the party atmosphere, but had more than one questionable moment regarding mixing of music. lol. The smoke friendly environment was primarily 420 and also extended to cigars and an occasional cigarette. Hookahs were also available for purchase. Overall a great place to celebrate any occasion!

This review is of Sunday Brunch only... invited by a friend that personally knows the chef, and spoke to the quality of the Caribbean food before we even stepped inside... I believed every word. More so after I tasted the selections they offered! Touted as a party brunch... great vibe to take pics, listen to the DJ and enjoy bottomless pre-made cocktails... the food was the superstar though... provisions...crab... jerk chicken... Rasta pasta... etc... fresh fruit and even some sweets. You can help yourself to the premade rum punch and mimosa station .... And when bottomless is done be served a la carts at the bar. Aesthetic venue, large parking area, good sound system but a little confusion at the door. People seemed to e having a great time and I know I did! Felt like a brunch in Brooklyn and I love to feel at home. The jerk chicken and crab were the highlights.... Food did run out and take a while in between... but it was made up for by the quality. Drinks weren't refilled after a certain time and it is recommended to go earlier to avoid. I had to take away stars for disposable dishes and cutlery as I HATE eating off paper and plastic. But at least it's hygienic.....I can definitely see another visit in the future!!! Shout out to the chef!!!!

Kekoon was a whole vibe! We went on a Thursday eveninv which is Ladies night. Free drinks before 12am! The outdoor patio seating gave it the perfect laid-back island feel. The DJ kept the energy up all night with great music, and the food was on point. That Jerk Chicken Pasta had a nice kick to it but it was so delicious. The drinks were nice and strong -- just how I like them, especially the Strawberry Margarita. Service is a bit slow on the patio though however all the servers were so friendly. Overall, a fun, chill spot to unwind and enjoy good music, food, and vibes.

The main complaint is that they charge almost $40 for service charges/fees that I knew nothing about and then they charge $10 for the bottle of water. When I asked the waitress what the service charges/fees was, all she kept saying was it wasn't her tip and she didn't know what it was for. Food was just ok. Place was nice although I could not get the area I reserved due to water issues although I saw people there. Music was a vibe. Just note there are no prices on their menu.

So I came back but this time for Ladies Night on a Thursday and it was so unorganized. The main restaurant was closed so everyone was on the patio. I had reservations so we were able to sit down quickly. It took an hour for our drinks and food to come out, they literally had 1 bar tender servicing us all and it was pretty much a decent crowd. Once the drinks came out they brought me the wrong drink, we barely saw our waitress, a guy server ended up helping our table and bringing us drinks, thank god for him, the manager had to be called at one point because it was just too much going on. They had 2 djs, the 2nd one was amazing and interacted well with the crowd, he made the night much better. This time I tried the salmon sliders which were beyond delicious, I could eat them all day lol, the coconut shrimp and fries were okay. I'll probably be back but next time I'll know it will be a long wait. Big shout out to the manager Mike and to the tall slim server who helped us and turned the night around because I was ready to leave asap lol

What. A. Vibe. I came here to celebrate one of my sorority sisters, and this spot understood the assignment. The energy was electric, the food looked like it belonged on a billboard, and the live reggae band set the tone just right. Just when I thought the night couldn't get better--Gyptian hit the stage and turned the whole place up! I danced, laughed, and soaked it all in. Definitely one for the books. 5 out of 5 stars!

The restaurant is located right in front of the movie theater. I suggest making reservations. It gets busy here. I came with my friends and we had a great time here. The atmosphere is great. The inside is beautiful. You are first welcomed by the lively sounds of island music. On one side, it had a beautiful, big pink tree. It's an eye-catching thing. The middle had a huge bar, and to the left, other nice sitting options and Kevin Hart, lol. The decor was nice. It definitely has an island atmosphere. We sat outside. The outside area was purple. It was, wow. It was unexpected and something to check out. The food was delish. I had the chicken with coconut jasmine rice. I loved that rice. Everything was good. I never tasted rice like that and lived it, not so much the flies. One of my friends had the oxtail egg rolls. She said it took her back to St. Croix. It was that good. The food was excellent. It was finger-licking. We were all talking afterwards about this restaurant. We were talking about coming back one day. Everyone liked the vibe here. One of my friends was so impressed that the restaurant had a doorman. It is not something you see every day in a restaurant. Three of us looked at each other and laughed. We all arrived at a different time and didn't get that experience, no one opened the door for us. The guy was sitting on the phone. It was a funny story. The overall experience was good.

    My cold oxtail taco

Happy Cinco de Mayo y'all. Everything was good until I was severely overcharged for a Carona. Then she charged me for a shot that was already paid for. And my last taco was cold and fell apart when I picked it up. I'm very disappointed that our waitress never at least told me about the drastic price difference since I was already drinking a different drink. This establishment definitely took advantage of me tonight. And she just smiled and said SORRY! YEAH YOU'RE SORRY!!!! The vibe was good though, music jamming and as it got dark they turned the light down. The 2 stars are for the DJ for keeping the jams jamming. Mind you before all this the waitress started to tell us we have to leave to seat other people while there was ample tables. I'll probably wouldn't be back, unless invited!!!!!

Ke'Koon Restaurant & Lounge is definitely a vibe! When you walk in, you're immediately captured by the great music playing plus the lighting and ambience that the restaurant has. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance so you can avoid a wait. Our waiter was extremely helpful and gave great suggestions. Their oxtail eggrolls and curry salmon were 10/10! All of our meals were packed with flavor and great taste. If you're looking for a lounge that has great music, amazing food, and great vibes, definitely check out Ke'Koon in Davie, Florida.

Great food and great vibes for sure!!! The best dishes at the table were the lamb chops and oxtail pasta!!! Both were very delicious and nice sized portions, very big, especially the pasta. My least favorite were the oxtail eggrolls as they were a bit overstuffed and didn't have that oxtail taste. It gave more of a shredded beef vibe. I would skip this next time. If you want great vibes and great food this is the place to be! However, I will say the service is definitely lacking at this establishment :( our server while she was nice, wasn't very attentive. Our entrees were brought to our table without any silverware and we had to wait about 10 minutes to flag anyone down to get it. So when we did try the food, it was a little lukewarm. Also, one of my side dishes never came out. But overall the food, music, drinks and vibes are 10/10! Next time I might just sit at the bar.

She was not stingy with filling the plate up. The lady that helped us today was sweet as pie. She was warm, sweet and professional. The place was clean and the food aroma filled the room. Pure goodness! I'm so glad I found this place. When my craving for Jamaican food comes back, I now have my go-to place. 100% recommend!

It's a small, mom-and-pop-like shop which of course is the best kind of restaurant IMO. When I walked in, everything smelled amazing and all the food was covered up, which I can appreciate for cleanliness purposes. I was greeted by a smiling and upbeat Simone, who is super warm and welcoming. This was a very pleasant surprise given how my beautiful Jamaican people do not always get the best rep for customer service (IYKYK). I ordered the oxtail, rice and peas and some jerk chicken. Simon gave me a beautiful, and packed plate. The rice and peas was SOO good, I was happy just eating it by itself. The oxtail pieces were big and juicy and FALL-OFF-THE-BONE good. The cabbage had a distinct color and flavor that I LOVED. I give the overall plate a 9/10 only because I didn't get any carrots with the oxtail or sweet plantains in my order which I personally prefer and personally feel should come with oxtail meals. Also because while the jerk chicken LOOKED AMAZING and was nice enough, it didn't pack as much flavor as I would like and they didn't have a signature sauce with it (again, a personal preference, try it yourself, to see how YOU feel). Overall, this was an awesome experience. I would definitely eat here again and strongly encourage you to give it a try if you haven't yet, even just to experience the pleasure of meeting Simone.

As the place was empty and two women working were talking at the bar I walked in and went to sit. One of the women asked if I was with the group and then told me I needed to wait to be seated. It was awkward. It was a bit rude. Most times it's not what you say, but how you say it. Maybe it's just me, but the waitress immediately informed me that three items weren't available, including biscuits and cornbread of some sort. As a first-timer, it was weird. Fortunately, everything got better from there. My first meal, regardless of time, needs to be breakfast-y. As I perused the weekday brunch menu via QR code (what if you don't have a phone?) I ordered a coffee and water. The water came quickly, but the coffee took its time. I ordered the Wafflette (don't you want to try things you can't get other places?) It came as pictured and was good. The syrup was quite watery and left a lot to be desired, but I really didn't need it. The star of this dish is the bacon. I could have bathed in this bacon. It was thick and chewy, such a nice compliment. I don't know if there are bar stools available and whether they set up center aisle seating when it's more crowded, but the restaurant appeared clean and well-kept. There were no rounds available when I went, so I don't know how they accommodate groups of 10+, I sat along the banquette that could accommodate two. I am very interested in returning to try the ox tails, which are available in two (or was it three) dishes on the menu. I look forward to revising my review then.
