This is a 3.5 rating but I went down because there were bugs in multiple of our water cups. The boss was quick to change it out and overall nice about it but that made us feel a certain unease about the place. The food was good and the pork bun appetizer was great. Overall more spicier which I like, but for those that are not good on spice it may not be as manageable. The ramen was good in taste the noodles seemed not as fresh but they had options. I have been wanting to try this place for months. And it was fantastic. The portions are large for a fair price. They do offer gluten free noodles and vegan options. I finally made it to Chibiscus and had an excellent meal. But the choices are well done, and everyone should be able to find something they want here. I started with the veggie potstickers and a spicy tuna hand roll. And then had the chicken curry dish as my entrée. Do not order too much at first, save some room for dessert. Oh my gosh! The desserts look amazing, and folks drive from all over for the brick toasts here. My food arrived after just a bit. The potstickers were good. Good flavor and not overcooked, along with a nice dipping sauce. The spicy tuna handroll was huge! What a deal! Maybe 6-7 bites to eat it all. The curry came out and was a good amount of food, just like everything else that had already been served. A large scoop of rice, some pickled ginger and a big bowl of Curried chicken came out. It was really hot, and I needed to let it cool a bit before digging in. It had a nice flavor, like a brown sauce with curry added maybe(?). When ordering takeout, the broth comes separate from the bowl ingredients so you can pour over when you're ready. Even to-go it's some of the best flavor you can find with ramen. Ingredients taste fresh and filling always. Service is pretty on the ball considering ramen can take a bit to prepare. You could sub proteins and ingredients to tailor to your dietary needs which was nice! I also tried their rice bowl with chicken - it was a bit salty for my taste but still delicious :). Chicken dumplings were also really good! All of it was good pricing I might add. Came here on a cold rainy day and luckily enough, there was ample parking in the small lot at the strip mall. The restaurant is small (about 12 seats), but we were fortunate to have our fair pick. It got busy later and I noticed it was challenging for those people waiting to find a comfortable spot to wait for a table. As for the food, A grade ramen! Dropped by for a quick hour lunch weekday around 2:30. There is an extremely tiny parking lot but a couple spaces open since we went at an off hour. Small interior with aged sticky tables and chairs. I like the mom and pop feel. - Ceylon milk tea with boba. Presented in a cute mason jar, the tea drink itself was delicious and not too sweet. But the boba was horrible: mushy and flavorless. - Spam musubi. Adorable presentation, below average taste. The crispy deep fried spam was thinly sliced, so it came out dry. I would have preferred a juicy slab of pan fried spam instead. The rice was not chewy, and the sauce was too salty. Plating/presentation was very nice even though the meal had issues. I think I'd have to try an entree before giving it a 2 stars, so keeping it 3 for now. read more

I will have to say, the broth came hot and delicious. The egg was cooked to perfection and I loved the spices of the broth. It was actually pretty spicy too. Noodles were okay; but not homemade noodles. The taro milk tea was really good. I actually liked it a lot, not too sweet Pork bun and spam musubi were delicious first bites. Toast was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Ice cream, chocolate, and fruits add the perfect balance to create a wonderful dessert that satisfy all my cravings. We also tried the spam masubi - which was solid 4/5 (got a great crispy texture on the spam), and the kimchi fried rice -3.5/5. Fried rice was not as good as the ones you get in Ktown, but definitely better than the ones in West LA. The place is also extremely small - around two dine in tables available during COVID.
