For a couple of years now, I didn't want anyone touching my hair. No dying, no cutting or anything because I felt like they would mess up. I came to this salon for my first time with hair down to my butt. I showed a picture of a girl with long layers in the back to show the cut I wanted. I even said to make the longest layer at my boobs level. I don't understand how my stylist just went on a cutting spree and I ended up with hair barely at my shoulder (at least 4 inches shorter!) With hardly any layers at all. I have not had short hair in my life and cried after I left the salon. I was in shock there and my stylist knew it but offered no apology, simply commented on the fact that I was shocked. The worst thing is, now I have to go to my only siblings wedding like this and remember this treacherous hair cut forever. read more

I was the Maid of Honor for my best friend and wanted to look amazing for her wedding, so I did quite a bit of research for different salons in the area and found this one which has good reviews, pictures, and prices. So I made the mistake of making an appointment at 9am with Eddie. I arrived at 8:55am and waited until about 9:10 for Eddie to get there. I know that's only 10 minutes but on someone's wedding day, the times are very tight. However, I kept a calm head about the little wait. Eddie sat me down at his station which is right next to the door that has no blinds on it so the sun shines right on through. Being underneath the barber's cape, no air conditioning, and it being 100 degrees outside made this very uncomfortable. Thankfully, he finished up the hair pretty quickly it looked similar to what I had asked for. However, even though it looked fine, it didn't hold up very well. A couple hours into the day when I was giving my Maid of Honor toast, my hair fell down. The bobby pins came undone and it all fell out. Later that evening when I was taking the rest of the pins out, I noticed that he used about 30 bobby pins to put my hair up - that doesn't seem right. I was able to deal with my hair falling down during my toast but the next part is the reason why I'm giving Eddie a 1-Star review - the makeup. I had never gotten my makeup professionally done and after going here, I still haven't. I asked Eddie to do very light makeup as I don't usually wear much and I wanted it to look natural. After he finished applying the makeup, he turned me around and I was completely shocked and almost broke into tears with what I saw, my face was a completely different color than my skin. I am Caucasian but I guess he is used to putting makeup on Hispanic women as the color was just way too dark. The eyes were way too black from all the eyeliner and there was no need to put fake eyelashes on me as I have naturally long lashes. I'd also like to point out that the left eyelash was falling off all day which was very uncomfortable. The price, I was told, would be $90 total. $50 for hair and $40 for makeup. However, after all this misery, I was asked to pay $110! All in all, I left the place in tears. At my friend's wedding I couldn't of been more embarrassed as my make up was just so insane, I felt like I looked like Nicki Minaj. Way too much and the completely wrong color. I had to even ask him to take off the lipstick because it was so intense. My hair was okay but then it fell down after a few hours of just standing around. I'd highly recommend not coming here or at least not asking for Eddie even though he is highly recommended for some reason. Maybe I just had him on an off day. read more

I have been coming here for 13+ yrs, but my regular stylist is no longer working here. Gave it a go because the staff is so nice & prices are decent. Made an appointment w/ Carolina for 5pm & left work an hour early to be on time. When I check in I'm told Carolina called off. Worker was very helpful & tried to call Carolina because she saw my name was written in the appointment book & she said that I should have been called and notified.
