Really loved the first job they did. They were thorough and quick. However, they asked for me to pay an additional $30 for their parking at my building for the next time, and I happily offered to pay the hourly garage rate which would have been less than $30. They stopped responding to my emails and phone calls and literally ghosted me. Over like ten dollars. I left several voicemails for them asking for them to return and emailed them probably about four or five times over a week or two. Strange and unprofessional. I have used this cleaning service 4x since I found them on Yelp in May. I'm a manager of 26 apartments, and I had a four bedroom duplex apartment that was filthy. Four boys that lived there for over 4 years moved out and left it in such a state that I was in tears when I called. They came and actually wiped down the walls with bleach, cleaned all of the baseboards, all of the blinds, the windows, and made the kitchen sparkle like new! The bathrooms were unspeakable. It was as if in the 4 years that they had lived there they had never cleaned the floor of their showers. The insides of the toilet we pink. Those are white toilets. I don't even want to know what was growing in them. The new tenants were so happy that when we had another unfortunate turn over a few days later I called them in again. This time it was a two bedroom one bath and the tenants were very happy with the work. A month later I started construction and renovated two other apartments, putting in two entirely new kitchens and two entirely new bathrooms. Those two rooms were gutted from floor to ceiling. Of course this created a mess in the rest of the apartment as well. They came again and did an amazing job at a post-construction clean up. I also hired them on the spot to clean the common stairwell and entry way as that hadn't been cleaned in a long time and really needed that. The change was amazing! All four times I was told by the tenants living in the apartments what a wonderful job had been done and that they were very pleased with how clean the apartments were. Whoa! Can we talk about how great these ladies were!! My house looks amazing. Called Morning of...need someone to come that day. They happen to have a cancelation and were here by noon! Two lovely ladies! I have a pit bull and my old cleaning lady used to cringe when she would approach her to say hello, they went right up and pet her right away and gave her lots of attention...this means so much to me as this is my baby and sometimes I am not there when the cleaning is done so I like them to be comfortable with her and vise versa. Ok on to the cleaning. Bathrooms-scrubbed and shiny! They look great! Kitchen was done perfectly! Stove top, fridge and microwave all scrubbed and look like new. They did all my laundry (2 loads) and baseboards as well. I'm really happy with the outcome and plan to set up monthly visits! I recommend these fabulous people to anyone looking for the job well done! 80 bucks for a 2 bed 2 bath and I tipped 20 bucks as well. Worth every penny! read more

Booked this service for a move in/out cleaning. They spent 2 hours at the property. Upon my inspection at the end of the job I pointed out several areas that were not clean, specifically dirty kitchen floors, cabinets still had visible dirt/grime. The cleaner followed behind me and just wiped a few areas with paper towel but did not go out to get her cleaning supplies, which she had already packed into the car, to actually clean the area. After going back and forth on several areas that were not clean I realized I wasn't getting anywhere. After careful inspection noted that they didn't clean out the refrigerator at all, just put paper towels over the unclean shelves, and left visible cobwebs and layers of dust. They charged me $320 for a move in/out cleaning in a 2 bed 1 bath that lasted 2 hours, didn't address my concerns and didn't respond after I sent my feedback to them directly. read more

They were able to book me within three days and after two hour appointment my apartment was sparkling clean. These fantastic ladies came into a very dirty apartment, and within two and a half hours it was shining! They heard my instructions very politely, followed them all, and cleaned everything that was on their way! Highly recommended. Only thing to watch is that there is a two hour window of arrival from the time they will tell you, the manager forgot to tell me when we were scheduling. I guess it's because they don't fix the duration of service but leave only when they're done, so it's not a bad thing. UPDATE: The second time (different team, regular cleaning this time) was rushed and spotty. They stayed for about an hour and 15 minutes, although in the beginning they told me it would take about 2 hours. That would have been fine, but after I left I realized that they had done a superficial job, leaving behind things like stains around the burners in the kitchen, some hair on the bathtub, and dirt on the back of the faucet. Not a terribly bad job, but spotty. My revised 4-star ranking reflects a (generous) average of the rankings I'd give for the two times I used their services. read more

We definitely had a rough first cleaning with this service. The cleaners weren't very friendly or approachable and our "deep clean" did not live up to what we expected. After sharing our experiences in a Yelp review, however, someone reached out to me from the cleaning service. He said that they usually do a follow-up call to make sure the cleaning went well, though we were somehow overlooked. He offered to do a second cleaning free of charge, explaining that he was sorry for our poor experiences and noting that there's no way for him to fully gauge how the cleaners act simply from an interview. I really appreciated his follow-up, and while the first cleaning was more of a hassle than a help, the second was great. The cleaner was friendly, asked me several questions to confirm what we were looking for in our cleaning, and thanked us for leaving the Yelp review, as she said it helped her grow and learn in her own work. She asked us which cleaning products and tools we'd prefer her to use (seeing that we had our own as well) and was respectful of our thoughts. The only downside occurred when I told her that she could use whichever floor cleaning tool that's easiest for her - her mop or our Bona mop. She ended up using our mop, but told us at the end that our mop was not as efficient as hers is. I wish she would've told us that before she began (or even during the cleaning), as I obviously would've preferred the better mop. Overall, this company is very concerned with customer service and definitely wants to make sure its customers are satisfied with their work. For that, I'd recommend them. Even if the first doesn't go well, they will continue their service until you're satisfied. read more

My schedule was kind of hectic and I am mostly at work so I don't really have a time to clean my house so I decided to call Chicago Clean Home to get an appointment for a one-time home cleaning. They responded and the staff honestly said that they have a lot of appointments but she'll see what she can do, luckily, there is still an available time. The two staff members came into my house exactly at the said time and we introduced ourselves to each other and they were super nice and friendly. They immediately started cleaning and I also have work that time so I leave them on their thing. After a couple of hours, the two staff are already done. The window is do clean and the bunch of dust in it was nowhere, floor is super clean and everything smells good and was so clean from my living room to the bathroom and also the kitchen. I called on Monday and booked a deep cleaning for Saturday morning. Two cleaners arrived on site and were extremely friendly. I went with this company because they were relatively close to my location, less expensive than the competition and because of the reviews. While I found both cleaners to be pleasant and hard workers, I do have to say the actual cleaning was sub par. They reiterated at entry that we wanted a deep cleaning and we walked through exactly what that meant - base boards, inside oven, microwave, extra attention to floors, etc. Base boards weren't touched, dust was still on our fans, lights in the bathrooms, kitchen sink wasn't scrubbed, oven not touched. They ran the dishwasher and did a wipe down of our counters, but that's about it in our kitchen. Again, they were nice and seemed hard at work, however if given the opportunity I would choose a different company and pay a little more next time. read more

After my last review, the owner contacted me to apologize and offered to have my apartment recleaned. I explained that I had already cleaned it, but that I was open to giving them another chance at another date. (A+ for customer service!) Last week two women arrived to clean my home. (No post-construction dust this time...just run-of-the-mill dust, etc.) I asked that they really focus on the floors, since they were pretty gross and hadn't been attended to since the post-construction dust clean-up. They said that they would mop them. They were clearly cleaned, but I had hoped they would really shine. Oh well. The ladies were very speedy (they finished in about an hour) and the noxious smell from the cleaning products was much less potent this time around. I was a bit frustrated that I didn't receive a call before arrival. My appointment was during some pretty snowy weather (I wouldn't have blamed them for canceling/rescheduling!), so I expected them to be late. They were by about 15 minutes, which is just fine. But I didn't know their ETA until they rang the buzzer. The staff member didn't even have my number. I left the apartment so that neither me nor my dog were in their way, but I had to give it to her so that she could contact me when they were through. Overall, this was a better experience than the last but I'm still not sold that I would utilize them again. read more

I reached out to Chicago Clean Home because I need someone to do a deep cleaning of an allergy-filled home for me. I spent a total of 10 back and forth emails with them trying to get basic information of what services they'd provide and finally gave up. I was literally copying and pasting my basic unanswered questions such as "do you clean under appliances?" and "do you clean furniture?" over and over because they were not being answered... Maybe they do a great job on the actual cleaning, but do not bother reaching out to them with any unique requests or specific questions because they'll just waste your time. read more

Very reliable cleaning service. They bring all of their own supplies and equipment and a crew ALWAYS shows up. There are always at least 2 ladies, sometimes 3, so they get in and out fast, even though they are thorough. Carmen and her crew, Ina and her crew, and others are all pleasant and professional. And I like being able to pay online via credit card. The only reason I'm not giving 5 is because they are a little pricey, but all the positives outweigh that. read more

We have had Chicago Clean Home clean our home twice in the past five months. Both times I felt they did a fine job. After the first time, I felt comfortable leaving a lockbox for them, and the home was clean while we were out of town. The cost is fairly affordable to other cleaners. Can't really say I have too many complaints. Just make sure you are clear with your directions. It's possible that materials you need, in our case, loose buttons, can be thrown away. Overpriced for what we got for a small studio "deep clean." Corners of the floor/rooms weren't cleaned. Couches or chairs were not moved during cleaning either so underneath was still dirty. We also specifically asked for the fridge to be cleaned and they mentioned the items needed to be removed when booking. We were home during the cleaner and were not reminded to remove them so it didn't get cleaned. read more

We booked them for a move in/out clean on a Saturday. The night before, we were told by the sellers that they had already hired a cleaning crew to deep clean the home. Not wanting to waste Chicago Clean Home's time or have them completely lose money on an in demand Saturday appointment, I emailed to ask if it was possible to have them do a less intensive cleaning and didn't hear back. The crew came and only spent 1.5 hours cleaning, and we were still charged the full $400. Even worse, there were multiple things that still weren't clean (tops of doors, cabinets, etc) which makes me wonder what was actually cleaned, considering the place was already pretty clean to begin with. When I talked to the manager on Monday, he told me I should have told the crew not to come if we no longer needed the cleaning, as the scheduling team is not available on weekends. I wish I had known that was an option, because now we basically paid hundreds of dollars trying to do the right thing and not screw over the company. Honestly, if the place had been really clean after they left I would have just sucked it up and paid the full fee without complaint, but that wasn't the case. I also thought maybe the manager would give us some money off once we explained the situation, but he did not. Given that people use cleaning services regularly, you'd think they wouldn't want to alienate a possible long term customer. Luckily there are a lot of other businesses out there to choose from. read more
