Chris, the manager, responded to my messages quickly and was able to accommodate me schedule-wise. I was not told ahead of time that the time scheduled was an estimate, with a possible 2 hour delay, but Chris did apologize and I believe that it was a honest oversight. Carmen, the lady who arrived to clean my apartment (a studio that I had just moved into) was super nice and did a good and quick job - to me it is very important to feel conformable with a person I let into my home, so the fact she was very pleasant was a big plus. I paid $125 plus tip, which is certainly not cheap, certainly not for me (please note that I did not do a lot of market research), but I am happy with the result. read more

Have only used this service once, but they did a great job. The crew arrived during the agreed upon 1.5 hour window and proceeded to clean thoroughly but still efficiently. They moved furniture to access baseboards, dusted often forgotten areas like the top of the fridge, and left everything looking like new! Very impressed, I may start to use them regularly. I had Carmen come to my college apartment to do a move-out clean. The place was honestly horrible, as we had sublet the place all summer and the subletters didn't keep the place up at all. Carmen was on time (even though I was late), so kind, and reassured me they would clean the place so it would be suitable for new people to move in. We used them twice. Once for a clean up of our new place (post-construction) and the second time for a clean up of our old place. Alexandra, Maria and Stefan did a great job. Both places were spotless. They cleaned the windows in our new place. The company showed flexibility when we had to reschedule and was able to send their crew when we needed them. Chris, who works on the phones, may not seem friendly but he made sure it all worked out. I booked Chicago Clean Home for a move in cleaning for a 3,000 sq ft house. Claudia and Inna arrived exactly at 8am. They were very friendly and efficient. They started in the attic and worked down. They cleaned the overhead fans, baseboards and interior windows. They also were thorough in the bathrooms, kitchen and mopping the wood floors. Update: One day after the incident below, I had another cleaning company (fully insured, online booking, located in Chicago and NYC) come in and do a great job, for a little less than the original price quoted by Chicago Clean Home. Just an FYI. Surprise costs and terrible customer service. Bottom line: they give you a flat fee, tell you they need a 2 hour window to make the appointment because they complete the job no matter how long it takes, and then they come in and pile on charges that they claim were mentioned in fine print in one of the three emails they send you back to back. The girls who came seemed polite enough, I have no comments on their actual work because I asked them to leave. Details: Simona spent a long time on the phone with me asking me questions about my home and details. I told her my cleaning lady went out of the country and I haven't had cleaning for three weeks. She takes note and sends me a quote for more than their standard cleaning rate because it's their first time. I organized my whole day around their two hour window and the crew arrives next day. I have 2 little kids so there are toys on the floor, they say they need to charge extra to "organize" them. I tell them I will pick all the stuff off the floor and they don't need to organize. I run around picking up everything off the floor and asked them to tell me what they need from me to do their job as quoted. They say then that it is still too much and they *double* the quote (even more than their deep cleaning estimate, btw) based on an hourly estimate. Here's my gripe in this whole thing: if you are going to charge by the hour, say so upfront so I can compare prices with other companies. I don't appreciate being given a quote and then being asked for double the price and then being referred to some fine print when asked why. read more

I used this service in an empty condo. New construction already "cleaned up" by seller. I was very happy with the first floor - did all meticulously. Unfortunately at some point the cleaners decided they had to leave and the second floor was done quite hastily. They charged me for cleaning windows, upon review not one was cleaned. Never cleaned under the stairs. I could still see wood dust from the construction. Can't imagine what it would be if house was full of furniture. read more

This was for a move out clean. They were easy to book with although the booking process seemed a little rushed. Payment was also easy and flexible. Overall the two ladies, Carmena and Ima (spellcheck?) were sweet and did a great job. They showed up early which was good although I was told I would receive a call 30 minutes before they arrived so unfortunately they had to wait for me a little. However, they were very nice and didn't seem to mind. They got started immediately and called me when they were almost done so I could come back. The place had been extremely dusty and was post move out but they had it shining! They also did not charge me at the high end of the quote which was a pleasant surprise. One thing thing I didn't love is that they removed one of the vent covers to dust it thoroughly and I wasn't able to put it back in place myself. However, it had been extremely dusty and they definitely got to areas I hadn't even noticed. Overall, good experience. They cleaned the stove/fridge/freezer etc so overall I'm happy. read more

We've been using Chicago Clean Home for a little over a year now. At first, we started with getting a deep cleaning every other month. When we had our first baby a few months ago, we increased the frequency to get a regular cleaning every other week. The team always does a great job. It's such a relief to come home to a clean house. They usually send a team of three people, and they are done with our three bedroom home in one hour. They are thorough, but are also quite efficient. They are also reasonably priced. Finally, I was often home while they were cleaning during maternity leave, and they were always very friendly and communicative, but also kept as quiet as they could when my daughter was sleeping. The only reason why they are not getting five stars is because I've had a few mix ups/miscommunications with their management people over the past year. But I would still recommend Chicago Clean Home to anyone! read more

I've never done reviews, but I have to say this - I would never pay for their service again! Upon calling for an appointment, I was told that they would come within a 2h window time starting from 10am. I immediately told the manager that I would only be free from 10-11:30am to let the cleaning ladies in, and was promised an "okay". However, not only were they late to the condo (approx. 1pm) that left me hanging around an empty place without ANY furniture, no internet, no nothing for hours; the manager got both my address and phone number right even after us repeating so on the phone while making the appointment. The service was also extremely bad. My boyfriend and I took off our shoes to walk around after the cleaning service, and both his feet and my white socks turned completely black. There were sticky/plastic-y stains on the bathroom tiles and tubs that weren't there before the cleaning, and upon questioning the maids, they refused to take responsibilities and blamed the stains on us. We were extremely frustrated throughout the entire process and my boyfriend lost his temper at the maids. Even after repeatedly apologizing to the girls after that, they gave us really bad attitude and definitely reflected on the work they did. Had to pay for another company to re-clean the place again! read more
