I never feel uncomfortable or anxious with this place doing work on my cars. My only complain is that they're not open on weekends so a lot of the times I have to change my work schedule around the store hours but that's such a small downside for me. Back in 2022 I had a problem with my Saturn Ion that nobody could fix. No shop could find the part that was needed because Saturn went out of business so long ago. I went to well over 8 different shops to get the issue resolved. Garage 31 was the only shop that fixed the issue even though they had to jump through so many hoops to resolve the issue. Ever since then my wife and I have been a loyal customers and we recommend this place to everyone we know.

When I first came in looking for an estimate on a costly repair another shop had told me I needed, they said the rack didn't need replacing and the slight shimmy in the front end was a brake rotor wear problem. They didn't even charge me for the trouble-shooting. Been a customer ever since. They're not going to try to upsell you and tack-on battery, wipers, fancy flushes or repairs you don't need. If they have time and you're a regular customer and stop in with a flat or other quick problem to solve they usually can accommodate you or provide you with a timely date they can get to it. Or they'll tell you the repair could wait another month or two and then bring it in. Like most service places you need to call ahead and expect to wait a week or so for an appointment that may take the better part of the day to repair. You will probaby need to leave your car there for the day but if it's something quick you can wait for it. It's nice to have a shop where you feel like you're a neighbor and can chat with them about your car concerns.
