I contacted JL through yelp and got a preliminary troubleshoot finally also indicated the need to get it into his shop. Again responding that impossibility I was surprised with the response "do I need to pick it up". Do I need to continue? A response, a transport, of course the repair and full checkup and some pointers to better use and maintain the snow blower. Information strangely not found in the owners manual. Overall, a very positive experience and at (what I felt) was a very reasonable cost. If you are in need of a small engine repair do give John a call.

I brought my wife's 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit in for new brakes and rotors. A few weeks…read morelater, my wife noticed the brakes were making a squealing noise during turns so I brought the vehicle back to have it inspected. I was charged $100 just for them to look into the issue. What was most concerning was learning that when the brakes and rotors were replaced a few weeks earlier, the shop chose to install lower-quality aftermarket parts rather than OEM parts. The original components on the vehicle were OEM, but instead of giving us the option to choose, the service advisor of Indian descent told me they used cheaper parts because OEM parts were "too expensive" and would make them less competitive. That decision was made without our knowledge or approval. When it comes to critical safety components like brakes, customers should always be given the option and informed about the quality of parts being installed. Choosing lower-quality parts to save money--without discussing it with the customer--raises serious concerns about quality, safety, and reliability. At the very least, we should have been given the option to replace the parts with OEM components or informed beforehand about what was being installed. Instead of rectifying their original mistake they shifted focus to other parts (pins) that still didn't address the issue at hand. Hence, I would not recommend if you're looking for honesty, quality, safety, and RELIABILITY.

After just a few weeks of use, the drive belt came off and I spent a couple of sweat-dripping hours under the machine. I couldn't spend any more time because I needed the mower done/lawn mowed before my roofers came the next day. I called them at 11am, they came to get my mower, fixed it, explained to me how to (next time) fix it myself, and returned my mower by 2pm. All for less than $100! I had called other places that wanted $130-160 just to show up at my house, plus their "analysis" fee and then the cost for parts/labor. These guys were super friendly, patient, knowledgeable, speedy and efficient. Regarding the "bad reviews" here...one, you're simply never going to please everyone, and that is OK. It's fair and helpful for someone to review that they found a cheaper price or quicker service somewhere else this time. But two, it's important to recognize that the tone and clarity of a review often reflect the reviewer's intent. Reviews that are emotionally charged, poorly written, or lacking constructive detail tend to offer limited value to others. Such reviews reveal more about the reviewer's personality than about the actual quality of the product or service. Keep doing what you're doing, Wasco Lawn & Power!

When I first came in looking for an estimate on a costly repair another shop had told me I needed, they said the rack didn't need replacing and the slight shimmy in the front end was a brake rotor wear problem. They didn't even charge me for the trouble-shooting. Been a customer ever since. They're not going to try to upsell you and tack-on battery, wipers, fancy flushes or repairs you don't need. If they have time and you're a regular customer and stop in with a flat or other quick problem to solve they usually can accommodate you or provide you with a timely date they can get to it. Or they'll tell you the repair could wait another month or two and then bring it in. Like most service places you need to call ahead and expect to wait a week or so for an appointment that may take the better part of the day to repair. You will probaby need to leave your car there for the day but if it's something quick you can wait for it. It's nice to have a shop where you feel like you're a neighbor and can chat with them about your car concerns.

After doing quite a bit of research on several shops nearby, a lot of these insurance recommended shops felt like high turnover and didn't seem specialized for Lexus vehicles. I even made a point to call the nearest Lexus dealership and they recommended what felt like a random "mom n pop" shop. As a last resort, I ended up going through the Lexus website where I found Boyce was one of just a handful of Lexus certified shop in the Chicagoland area. After some initial conversations with Kyle and Josue, I could tell they were considering many different aspects of different safety features that could have been damaged from the rear impact collision. This attention to detail sold me, and although I had to wait a couple weeks to bring the car in for repairs I was convinced they wouldn't miss anything during repair. From the minute I decided to go with Boyce, it was pretty much smooth sailing. Boyce took care of any necessary correspondence needed with my insurance company, scheduled Enterprise Car rental to pick me up from the shop, and were very responsive to any calls or emails checking on status. On completion of repairs, I came in to pick up my car which looked pretty close to brand new, however I had noticed some new damage to the driver's side door which wasn't there before. Luckily, Boyce takes hi res photos of the vehicle before taking in and were able to confirm they were at fault. While it was inconvenient to have to bring my car in a second time, I'm just glad Jim was able to confirm and take care of the damages and 2nd rental vehicle. That was very professional, honest, and detail oriented. Knock on wood I don't need to ever come back for repairs, but if I do I know who to call. 'Til next time, cheers!
