Recently bought a 2024 Triumph Bonneville T120 from Hal Keegan at MCC. It was a great experience! He is VERY knowledgeable, experienced, and actually rides. He took time to find and show me a lot of different bikes as I had an idea what I wanted, but at 6'2" it's tough to find the right amount of bike I wanted in a size that didn't fit like a scooter. Read for detail Like other reviews, my experiences here were polarized (sales awesome, service mostly frustrating) I tried to buy a motorcycle here over a few visits and the sales folks were awesome - low pressure sales, genuinely helpful, and an owner even stayed late one evening to let me see a bike. I bought my bike from elsewhere because I got a ~50% off deal on a barely used one, but if I had bought new, I would've absolutely bought it from there. However, things were different when I dealt with the service lead (Rocky). He was rude and unhelpful when I called for some warranty work (even hung up on me as I was asking follow up questions), wouldn't make even the slightest of accommodations, and when I left my bike there and went to pick it up, treated me like crap. He was dismissive when I dropped off the bike, and rude from the beginning when I went to pick it up (not sure why) and yelled at me - a paying customer - when I asked for a large bill to be split up (I was charged for warranty work that he told me to take up with the manufacturer, but wouldn't even put that work on a second receipt to enable me to do so). After being patient a few times, I finally got angry and stood my ground and the owners had to intervene to help out (and did give me the separate bill). The service techs were themselves awesome and their work was good. Everyone seemed to somewhat tacitly acknowledge that Rocky is prickly and rude, so I don't understand why they put him in a lead position to interact with customers looking for help (service), or continue to allow him to be that way. Customers shouldn't have that experience. Reading the other reviews, it's clear others have similar experiences. I would like to work with MCC as I liked the rest of my experiences there, but the owners have to help change the experience of customers looking for service. read more

Just wanted to give a shout out to Rocky, he's just a straight forward guy who tells it like it is, I actually appreciate it and have been a happy returning customer for 5 years or so partly because I trust him and he's gone the extra mile for my service needs. Just don't expect the gear heads to talk like salesmen and you'll be fine. Motor Cycle Center sells defective motorcycles and then does not give refunds. I bought a Zero S electric motorcycle and when I got it home, I did a range and battery test. The battery turned out to have only about half of the kilowatt hours that it was supposed to have and the range was also about half of what was advertised so I told them and wanted a full refund they said they would give me a refund -$3000 from what I paid and went there and ended up getting a refund but I lost $2100 on the deal and I wanted to buy a different bike from them and I told them I was on my way to pick it up. When I got there they had already sold it to someone else, this place is a rip off if you want a good motorcycle go elsewhere, they will lie to you to sell you a bike and then will not stand behind their products read more

I tried to purchase a brand new bike from the dealership. I'm out of state and was willing to buy the bike before it ever landed at the dealership. Arrange my own shipping the whole nine. When they sent me the price sheet, they had added 20% to the price of the bike plus what was not included yet was the 6% sales tax in my home state. When I called the dealer back to ask about the 20% additional fees they had tacked on, I spoke to Scott who identified himself as the sales manager. He was incredibly rude. I mentioned the 20% and he said "It's not 20%, it's dealer fees." I said it's still 20%, and then proceeded to explain the math. He responded rudely and aggravatingly "WHATS YOUR POINT?" If this is how the sales manager talks to customers who are trying to buy a brand new bike site unseen. I can't imagine how the dealership would respond to services, or gear shopping etc. save your time, money and frustration, go literally anywhere else. read more

No one came up to us for like 20 minutes. The dealership is really crappy too. My husband wanted to test ride a Panigale or Streetfighter, and I wanted to test ride the 890 Duke or Monster. They had NOTHING to test ride. We have money to spend on toys like this so it was a complete waste of time. We will just stick with BMW motorcycles. The customer service is consistent and professional unlike this place. The BMW bikes are nicer too. I don't understand why Ducatis and KTMs cost as much. The fit and finish of the bikes are super low budget. Based on today's experience alone, I will never buy a Ducati or KTM. They aren't all that. read more

They told me the bike needed a new neutral switch and that the engine was starting in bypass. Two weeks later they said the engine was seized. They had no explanation as to how that could happen. I should also mention that communication was terrible...as if that's not obvious. On the positive side they dropped the bike back at my place for free. Will not go there again. read more

The current Motor Cycle Center location is a bit small, but homely. They are moving to a bigger location in a few months. I can't wait as it shows nothing but positive news for their business. Anyways, I bought my KTM dirtbike here after visiting MCC many times with my boyfriend. He bought two of his sportbikes from MCC and the staff there has been nothing by nice to us the entire time. Thus it was a natural choice that I bought my KTM from them. I had only ridden 4-strokes before the KTM and they patiently answered all of the questions I had. I couldn't ask for more. The service at MCC is SUPERB! That is so essential when plunking down a good amount of cash for a motorcycle. They truly care about their customers and know everyone by name. MCC did fantastic work on my 2011 Ducati 796 ABS. It now rides better than it did when it was new and completed ahead of schedule.

I love this dealer, always got great bikes in stock and Peter, Jeff ( sales rep) is very informative and always nice. I love taking my bike here even though I live 45 minutes away. I have a 2015 Ducati Monster 1200S Striped edition. Anytime my bike have a problem I always trust taking it in to see Alex and Aaron . They always take care of me and get the problem solved quickly. Once the problem is fixed it never comes back! Which is amazing because some dealer will "fix" your bike but it breaks again. I always trust leaving my bike here for a couple days when I can't wait for it or if it's a longer repair. So far I have not had major problems with my bike ( purchased from MCC) but all the minor problems get sorted out quick and enjoyable process. Haven't been to MCC for years but the new location looks great. Purchase a used bike and took it in for service (tires, desmo) and couldn't be happier knowing it's been looked over by a pro-tech. Just had a great experience at MCC while buying a new Monster 821 black 2018, my sales rep was low key in a good way and gave me just the info I wanted. The sales side was smooth and I didn't feel any pressure to add this or that. I was out in an hour and on the bike! Wow. I also wanted a few garage accessories (bike stand and tank pad) and they have them in stock, which is so nice. It's my 2 nd bike purchases from them. I must say it's always nice to have them as a destination on the weekends because they have a lot of product on the floor, bikes/clothes/accessories to see first hand. Been going here for years, although I have yet to actually buy a bike from them. (My SO has bought four, though. Does that count?) Even though I've never bought a bike from them, I do buy parts and fluids for my bikes from them. Dave, Geoff, Greg, Mike, and Johnny are all great. The old store was a wonder of space management; you were never sure how they could fit so much awesome into such a tiny space, but they did it somehow. The new space (which used to be a Ford dealership) is just HUGE -- but now they sell more gear. Which is awesome, because it's nice to have a local option with a big gear selection to try on. Can't say enough nice things about these guys. If you're anywhere in the area and are into Triumph, Ducati, KTM, MV Agusta, Husqvarna, or the revamped Norton, you owe it to yourself to make the trip. We're lucky it's close by, but it would be worth the time and gas to visit even if it was further away. read more

I was looking for motorcycle as that the KZ1000 that I wanted from Redline Cycle Center (another great place if you are into old Japanese bikes) wasn't going to work out for me. I had looked at a few bikes at Chicago Cycle Center but something about that place didn't put me at ease. I went to MCC just to look and low and behold, the next day I walked out the proud owner of a (new to me) Ducati. Geoff was very helpful and not at all pressuring like a lot of dealers can be. He also took me 100% seriously which some dealers still aren't when females walk in looking at motorcycles. They took care of me there and I had an excellent shopping/buying experience. I stopped in after reading the reviews and I am glad I did. Unfortunately, I don't remember the sales guy's name, but he was very helpful. I am pretty new to the motorcycling world so I wasn't too sure on what to look for in terms of gear. This guy took time out to walk me through the different types of equipment and the different price points. He helped me try on some of the items and explained to me what to look for in terms of fit and quality. At no time did he pressure me into any type of sales pitch, nor did he try to upsell me on anything. He was just helping me out which I was very grateful, since I'm pretty much a noob. Geoff and everyone at MCC has always been very helpful. I looked at Triumphs for quite a while before finally deciding to buy there. They were very accommodating. Geoff is also active in the RAT group the dealership sponsors. Shortly after I bought my Rocket III, it started leaking anti-freeze. I rode to MCC expecting to just set up an appointment. Dave, then the service manager, came out to look at it, ran back in the shop and immediately replaced my radiator cap. No problems since then. It's little things like this, that keep me coming back to them. These guys are a model of how a dealership should be. I bought both of my triumph bikes here and had nothing but positive experiences doing so. Although I now ride a Harley ( because I like to do cross-country rides and I haven't had such good luck finding good Triumph dealers on the road) if I ever decide to get back on a Triumph or a Duc I will purchase through MCC. Service times can be a little long, but when I had problems with a faulty part on my Rocket III these guys really stepped in with Triumph hq and got me taken care of even though I was out of warrantee. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. The new showroom is stocked with everything you could ever want, and these guys have a great history of really standing behind what they sell. If all Triumph dealers were as good as these guys I'd still be on my Rocket III without a doubt. read more

Geoff is the Eaglerider representative at MCC and he is a true professional. I was able to reserve my bike via e-mail with no issues. I wanted to rent a Triumph American and Geoff let me choose between two different bikes. My bike was brand new with less than a thousand miles. Geoff took the time needed to go over all the paperwork and the bike with me. I then took pictures with my family and rode off on my cross country trip to Seattle. The bike was perfect the entire 3,300 miles I rode it. Geoff also e-mailed me during my trip to ensure all was well. I recommend Geoff 100% and Eaglerider only if you are dealing with a smaller private dealer like MCC because they have more time to do the right thing when it comes to taking care of their renters and their bikes. The previous comments are all pretty spot on. Small, family run, extremely knowledgeable, extremely flexible dealership of some of the sexiest bikes you can buy in the U.S. This place is a much a hangout for local bike lovers as it is a dealership. On the weekends, you'll see riders from all over the west side out there, looking at new bikes, talking to the sales guys and just generally commiserating. They sponsor the local Triumph and Ducati riders groups and are active at local track days. The only downside is like Robyn said, they are so booked up on service that an appointment 2 weeks away is a good booking. The comment on parts taking a long time is valid, but I think it has more to do with the import bikes supply chain (Triumph's is notoriously slow) than the dealership. I find that they keep a reasonable supply of parts on hand, but anything specific will be a wait. Let me just tell 2 quick stories to show the "above and beyond" that MCC has gone for me: 1. When I bought my Triumph, I was super anxious to get it, and none of my slacker friends could take me there on the day it was ready so I could ride home. The Metra stops a little ways from there, but not super close, so when I called to ask the best way to get there, they insisted on picking me up. Considering what you have to do to even get to talk to a sales guy at most other places, this is great service. 2. I was at my first 500 mile service interval about a week before a big trip down a portion of the Mississippi River and didn't call early enough to get service before I left. Dave, the service manager told me if I did my own oil change and just popped in one day before I left he would give me a quick once over before I left on my trip. He did all of this free of charge and apologized profusely for not being able to get me in before I left. read more

The service department is excellent. I took my bike in for a coolant issue and to replace the chain. The staff was responsive and professional. This is a busy shop so the diagnoses took some time but they were communicative and thorough. Once they got the parts needed, which took no time at all, the actual work was done in a day. We bought our Triumph here. Their selection is good but we didn't have the same wonderful luck with service, etc. that everyone else did. While the salespeople working there are very knowledgeable, the store is very cramped with almost no space in between the bikes so it's hard to get a good feel for them. We ordered custom add ons and we waited and waited...we finally had to hunt down the dealer, they weren't on top of it at all. We've also had to wait a long time for appointments for routine service. This small place has been there many, many years and they are a 5-star Duc dealer. Guys, it's time to expand. They have exactly two clothing racks...we've recently been riding out to the Racer Cafe in St. Charles for clothing, where the staff is very friendly. But that's for another review. To be fair, we rode out to the Triumph shop in Joliet also just to check it out and the people there were totally slimy. Duc and Triumph dealers are few and far between so there aren't a lot of choices. I guess this is the best one in the area, but I wouldn't give it five stars. Frankly, the Harley shops have the five-star thing nailed down pretty good. Check out the one in Villa Park...it rocks. read more

I've been generally disappointed with the brick and mortar options for motorcycle parts and accessories in the Chicagoland area. Because of the lack of in-stock inventory, I've been "forced" to buy most things online. Then I found MCC. I was really impressed with the quantity and quality of in-stock inventory and the prices are really competitive. Also, the staff was both knowledgable and helpful. Bottom line, MCC will now be my go to source for motorcycle parts and accessories. read more
